Actually I have watched the past 4 years. And that has led me to believe that he is best suited for the job of "guy who is playing QB until Geno is ready."You really think Falichise will be able to take over the team once Geno gets injured? Seriously? Have you not watched the last 4 years? Lowest QBR in the game. Shaking my head
And if god forbid Geno gets injured then yes, Sanchez is definitely able to play the QB position. I never said anything about playing it great.
Oh, and he won't be as terrible as he was last year. He will actually have players around him capable of getting open and catching the ball (2 things the receiving corps couldn't do last year). Again not saying he'll be great or even good, but he won't be worse then last year.
Sanchez is likely going to start the season for the Jets, Garrard was brought in as a veteran back-up nothing more, & Geno is going to need time to learn, Sanchez will likely start at least the first 4 games of the year.
Both these statemets are 100% correct. Garrard in all likelyhood won't even be here Week 1 (McElroy will be the 3rd QB). Sanchez will keep the seat warm for Geno. It's typical for when a QB is drafted for him to sit and learn. Here's the thing: The Jets aren't going to be good this year no matter who is at QB for them. Let Sanchez get beaten up for most of the season while Geno holds the clipboard and learns the system.
