The Sports Bar

Since we're all guys and we like to discuss women, who are your top three attractive ESPN personalities?

1. Suzy Kolber
2. Erin Andrews
3. Rachel Nichols

If this was the Nichols of five years ago, she'd be #1.

1. Jenn Brown and it isn't close
2. Erin Andrews
3. Nicole Briscoe. She's the host of NASCAR Now. I never watch the show because I hate NASCAR but she is extremely attractive.

Honorable Mention: Hannah Storm

Alex Rodriguez is primed to have an absolutely historic year.

Dave, I'll make a bet with you. If any White Sox player finishes higher in MVP voting than A-Rod, then I'll change my name to Jeter Likes It In The Butt. If you lose, you change your name to Ozzie Wants A-Rod's Nutsack. And since I'm never around anymore, my name change would likely be permanent and I'll forever plaster the top-30 Rep page as Jeter Likes It In The Butt.

Sad injury news in the NFL.

Chad Pennington, who was planning on playing this upcoming season and was gonna get a job as a veteran backup/young QB mentor, tore his ACL in a pickup basketball game.

Pennington is one of the best people in all the NFL, and this will likely be the last straw for his (underrated) career. As a Jets fan, I'm crestfallen, as Pennington is my all time favorite Jets player (among non-current players).

Happy Opening Day MLB fans! It doesn't really feel like opening day to me. It's Thursday and Mania hasn't even happened yet. Weird.

Honestly, no surprise that it happened. The guy would split apart if a rock was thrown at him. With him already in his mid 30s and with all of his injury problems, its time to call it quits.

And Opening day vs. two big NBA games tonight? decisions, decisions.

what the fuck are you talking about?

How is it not surprising that the guy got hurt in the offseason?

It's not like he got hurt in a game. And all his problems have been shoulder related, so a torn ACL is pretty surprising, actually. If they said rotator cuff it might not be so surprising.

I'm a Blazer fan. No injury is surprising.

Storm, Yankees won today. I'm disappointed I was at school. However, "I want to thank the Good Lord for making me a Yankee." regardless. <3
yes they did. I watched the game, and it was very awesome. Especially when Curtis Granderson hit the Home Run off of former Yankee Phil Coke (whom Granderson was traded for, ironically enough).

Plus perfect innings from the bullpen was very nice. Soriano was probably an even better signing then even Cliff Lee would have been.

I saw that in the box score and chuckled. The bullpen was sharp, you say? I just glanced, didn't study the box score. It's great to see Teix hit the ball hard to start the year. A hot start from him would make a world of difference in our record at the end of the year.

Perfect innings for Joba, Soriano, and Mo, each of which had a K.

And CC was strong. Didn't have his best stuff, but 6 inning 3 runs (only 2 earned) is a good start to the season. Teixeira had a phenomenal March regular season, and hopefully he'll be able to keep it up through April.

Because it seems like the guy can't do any kind of activities anymore without getting himself hurt. He's got a glass body.

Didn't think you'd snap at me for it, but ok.

I don't know man, maybe it's because I'm stuck with the Buccos, but I just can't get into baseball. Played it my whole life, even now I'm in 2/3 softball leagues, but I just can't get excited. Sports is basically my whole life, but fuck baseball.

Baseball is by far my favorite sport. A thinking mans game. Its where fat out of shape guys like Babe Ruth can become phenomenons. You don't need to be a beefed up musclehead to excel in baseball. Plus, every pitch and swing have a purpose. And it's America's pasttime.

Im actually excited to watch the Pirates this year. I know it was without Matt Halliday, but five earned runs from our SP in 3 games against St Louis is really damn good. Paul Maholm fell apart today in the 6th, but our SP can only be better after last year. Im truly excited about our "Big Four" in Walker, McCutchen, Tabata, and Alvarez, as I think we finally have a core of young players to build around, and aside from McCutchen, we'll get a full first season from each. Today was a bad home opener but a 4-3 start, which could have been 6-1 had Matt Capps not fallen apart twice, is cause for celebration for me.

I'm a huge sports fan, but I'm not real big on baseball either. Don't get me wrong, I love the Giants and will be there tomorro for our home opener, but in all honesty it ranks at the bottom of the Top 4. The top of my list has to be hockey. I'm a Sharks season ticket holder and watch every game they play. I find it to be extremely entertaining. Live, its the best sport to attend, hands down. But even watching it on tv is great. There is always action, always something going on. Much better to watch than baseball.
