Even without Blue, Group 1 will be tougher than Group 2.
My opening post is up, I think I did pretty well on the topic.
I'll respond in a bit. You pretty much set up my rebuttal to your rebuttal. Haha.
crock hit it on the head. You don't need to be a regular sports poster to be able to debate. Isn't the judging based on debate, not opinion? Group 2 may be the better debaters, with group 1 being the better sports posters.No. Just because, for example, I don't post sports doesn't mean I can't win, keep in mind.

but knowledge isn't the only thing needed. You can have all the knowledge int he world, but be unable to debate, and not win.Sports knowledge still plays a huge part in it though. You can do all the research you want on your own choice but you're going to need a lot of sports knowledge to be able to refute the opinions of everyone else. Being able to debate is only half the battle. I'd say the combination of debating skills and sports knowledge in group 1 is greater then that of group 2.

Also, just because they don't post in the SS doesn't mean they don't know sports. It just means they don't post int he SS.
exactly. I thought there were people discrediting one group because it didn't have as many regulars. I don't see that as fair, if the group had people who may be known for debating prowess (I haven't the foggiest idea, since I didn't look at any of the SDL stuff, since I want no part of it). That's why I said it's a combination of both. Not just one or the other.
Nobody can also make an opinion on how bad it is either.Yes, but until I see that knowledge on display I can't make an opinion on how good it is.
especially when the questions are going to be very very generic. you aren't gonna get 'who's the best quarterback of all time'. you're going to get questions that have many possible answers.
yes the first group is more accomplished in the sports stadium, but lets see them as debaters.
and I'll get my argument up within the next 2 hours. i know who I want, and I think I'll have a good stance on it.
I'm debating taking UConn, but I might go towards football.
