The People's Peep
Mr. Manager
I would participate in this tournament, but I only watch basketball in March. Oh, and Blake Griffin highlights. That guy is unbelievable.

1 playoff appearance (won the division in 2006-2007 only to be eliminated in the first round). Other then that they've been on the outside of the playoffs looking in.
The Columbus Blue Jackets are a 2000 expansion team that has only 1 playoff appearance (2008-2009 7-seed, 1st round elimination via sweep).
Oh, and I noticed the 1969 Knicks are in this B-Ball tourney. Is there a 90's Knicks team, or is it just championship teams. Stupid Jordan kept them from winning a championship in the 90's.
You're right. Just asking. The Knicks had their chance in 1994 but they lost a 3-2 lead to Houston.
That brings to mind a different idea for a Tournament. Not that I'd be able to do it (especially with basketball, the one sport where my knowledge is shit).Like I said before the tournament should be just championship teams. If a team couldn't win a title then they sure as fuck couldn't be considered the best ever.

you did get what I was getting at. exactly what I was thinking.I think I know what you're getting at and it inspired a new thread series that I just started in the sports section.
And since the NCAA Bowl LD is seemingly dead
oh I know none of the games were high-caliber matchups. But that doesn't mean people won't watch. Hell, we watched the pre-Christmas bowls and had more activity then today. It's probably because poeple are likely busy today and not sitting at their computer while watching college football. That's because all of the big games are tommorow. Florida/Penn State, Michigan/Mississippi State, MSU/Bama, TCU/Wisconsin, and yes, even OU/UConn. I mean, South Florida/Clemson? UCF/Georgia? This Miami/ND game had potential to be good, with it being and old rivalry and all, but the U lost their coach and their new one really hasn't taken over yet, and ND came to play while Miami looks like they wanna stay home.
FSU/South Carolina could be interesting, but I'm not all that interested in that game at all. Sadly, if I have nothing to do for New Years, I might actually watch it.
Breaking news for everyone looking for entertaining sports TV tomorrow. The Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic has been pushed back to 8 PM due to rain expected in Pittsburgh throughout the afternoon.
I didn't hear any of it, but 2 things you must remember:I was getting annoyed of Ron Pitts and John Lynch's ********ing of him during the Lions game. I mean, when the Vikes were down ten they were like 'don't you wish we could see Favre try a 2 minute drive one more time?' like he was dying or something. I know the guys a first ballot HOF, but their ********ing of him in a game he wasn't even playing in was annoying.
I didn't hear any of it, but 2 things you must remember:
1. It's most likely his last game, and when a guy of his caliber is on a roster for the last time, they talk about him incessantly.
2. This might also be the first (and only) time Ron Pitts and John Lynch (Fox's 6th commentating team) got to call a Favre game, and as such they wanted to talk about him non-stop, like every other commentator.
Two new threads up in the Stadium with one being the NFL Playoff prediction thread. Also the Sports Debate League starts tomorrow. No hard feelings when I demolish everyone in my path.
On a separate note, where the hell is Blue? I havent been as active over the past couple days, but it seems like forever since Ive seen him here. Anyone know where hes been? Did he decide to leave us?
The 1st group of the SDL is stacked. The second one is good, but the most of the most likely guys to win it are in Group 1.
