I was saying they weren't that good. I said that because they aren't all that good. They don't have a #1 (DHB is shit, and was picked 20 spots too high). They need a guy that scares defenses, and they don't have that. To be fair, Campbell never really had that I don't think (no, Santana Moss isn't a scary #1-type receiver). They need to somehow acquire a #1 receiver (via trade/FA since NE has their 1st).Raiders WR aren't that bad Storm (unless you are calling them talented, if that so this is moot). Jacoby Ford looks to be like an excellent slot WR in this league and has made big plays for this team week in and week out. Louis Murphy (when healthy) could be a solid number two guy, same can be said with Schillens. DHB is the only question mark. If he lives up to his draft status then they have their number one guy, but he looks more like a two or three. All they need is that elite/number one potential guy to solidify it.
And with a disappointing end to a disappointing season, Mike Singletary has been fired from the 49ers.

There should be some awesome WR's to come out in the draft this year. AJ Green, Julio Jones, Justin Blackmon (I think he can come out) and a South Carolina receiver (forget his name) could all be great players. Green most definitely.
Too bad Al Davis will go with the guy that runs a 4.2 out of a D-IAA college for his first pick, because that man loves his speed.![]()
No they aren't that bad. A lot of those guys like Murphy and Ford are pretty good and getting better, have you seen what Ford does? He does scare defenses. Chaz Schilens hasnt played much, but has some potential if healthy, a core of Murphy, Schilens, Ford, Bay and Miller is actually pretty good. That core is FAR from shit.Raiders WR aren't that bad Storm (unless you are calling them talented, if that so this is moot). Provide some evidence of why this is true instead of just saying it.They really are that bad actually. Louis Murphy is AT BEST a number two and he is trying to be the number one guy. The rest are 3rd to 5th receivers and they are trying to make Ford or Bey a number two guy which just isn't going to work. It also doesn't help that every receiver on the team is exactly the same. They are all speed guys. The team doesn't have any possession receivers. Al Davis is obsessed with speed and that's all he has. A group of fast slot guys. You can't have an effective passing game with that.
Oakland won't pick until the mid 40's. Traded their 2011 1st for Richard Seymour.
All the top WRs will be gone by then.
They are average at best, but not shit like sexy claims they are. Ford is becoming a scary threat with his ability to break it for big gains, Murphy is improving and DHB has improved over last year as well.I was saying they weren't that good. So you're right, all they need is a #1. Too bad not having a #1 really kills the quality of your receiving corps.

Didnt you just call the Raiders a run first team? Murphy has only been targeted 72 times all year for a difference of 35 while great wideouts like Roddy White and Calvin Johnson have differences way higher. I am not saying he is as good, but saying stats are not a good indicator of talent for a wideout as players like Moss in his prime could catch 1 pass and still be the best player on the field. Some things don't show up on a stat sheet. The best season any receiver on the roster has ever had is 39 catches for 580 yards and 2 touchdowns, and that is Louis Murphy's season this year. Like I said, they have one potential number two receiver and a few potential slot guys. That overall makes for, at the moment, a fairly shit receiving group. When your top receiver is almost certainly going to fail to get even 700 yards receiving that just isn't good. They are all young, inexperienced, and the same type of receiver. What they may become in the future and may become if they add a number one is irrelevant to this season. This season they are not good at all.

BTW, those stats I gave (I have lots of em) were before the Indy game not after.
As for the Pro Bowl roster, I don't see much issue with the NFC.
