Wasn't yesterday game with the Chiefs at Seattle?

Yes, and it was their first home loss this season with Matt Hasselbeck starting. The Chiefs are also a good team and it was a 4 point game going into the 4th quarter. Seattle has Carolina and San Fran the next 2 weeks. Then they finish with 3 somewhat tough games but 2 of those 3 are at home.

Sucks for two reasons

1. The Niners are actually just one game behind the division lead as sad as that is.

2. He was on my fantasy team.

This is just a guess-and tell me if I'm wrong-but I think your more upset about reason number 2 over reason number 1. Just a wild guess.

And Westbrook played great last night but the problem is if he can keep it up. He was never really known to be a straight up, pound it down the middle kind of back. He's best went he's used for everything, catching, returning.

Broken hip...

I didn't realize he was 90. I thought he was still relatively young. That sucks for him, and the Niners. However, B-West might be able to recapture some of that past glory for the rest of the season.

You know how black people are...they never age. Had us all fooled.

Seriously though, I don't know if Westbrook can keep it up. The way he was used best in Philly isn't the way Singletary uses his backs. But who knows? Maybe sitting on the bench for most of the season and being rested and being motivated to prove to everyone he still has it will be enough to get him through the season.

the question is can he play good for 4 weeks (the fantasy season)? I think he can. I wouldn't want to use him as the primary guy for an entire season, but using him exclusively for 5 weeks he might be good for the 9ers.

That it does. Big Sexy believes Seattle might be better, and I think its the Rams. But the teams in this division are so bad and so inconsistant it almost makes it impossible to figure out. B.S might be right but who knows. Let's just say everyone benefits.

Except for the Cards.

Well he's the starter and Singletary will use him a lot considering he loves using his backs. So he might just put up numbers. And I agree that there is probably enough time to where he can be effective without having to endure too much.

With no hometown bias at all I say it's the Rams. Could be because I've seen all their games and know they're knocking on the door of being good, but Hasselback is getting way up there and who else do they have on their team? Lofa Tatupu?

Yea, the Rams are a good young team. Bradford is a good young QB who is getting better by the week. Jackson is playing well. Chris Long is playing well on defense. I see a lot more postives in St. Louis than in Seattle.

I pick Seattle because they have a slightly easier schedule then the Rams. St Louis still has games at New Orleans and against KC before finishing up with a couple division opponents in San Fran and Seattle. I also trust the veteran Hasselbeck more then the young Bradford. As well as Bradford has played this year he is still a rookie and has never faced the grind of a playoff/division race.

You're right, but we know what we can expect from Hasselback, where as Bradford gould go off at anytime and we won't really see it coming until it happens. He still hasn't had his big coming out party, and I think he'll suprise us all when he does. I just put the Rams over because I think it's coming soon and we'll see what he's really made of.

Valid points made Big, but if we have seen anything in recent history, its that rookies are better than they have ever been and don't fold easy under pressure. Not saying that Bradford will play like an MVP, but its easier to believe now that a rookie can lead his team in pressure situations.

Plus I like the Rams and what they got better all around than the Seahawks.

So Blue, the Cards got Theriot from the Dodgers for Blake Hawksworth. I like the deal, another solid middle infielder for Tony to play around with and we just gave up a meh bullpen guy.

Theriot was the better half of the LSU middle infielders, but Hawksworth had potential. So at the moment it's all good, but we'll see farther down the road.
Cards fans should like The Riot.
He's right.
New favorite player? I think so
My boy is still Yadi.
Can't wait for that comment to be brought up thousands of times the first series the Cubs and Cards go at it.
Oh stop, you're making me miss baseball even more.
