The Sports Bar

Yeah our defense has been the one strong point of our team if there even is one. Frazier is the right guy to take over the job and hopefully he shows something and puts a spark in this team. I appreciate Chilly getting us out of the funk we are in, but he just didn't have it takes on the field. It was the right time for him to go.

What do you mean? Adrian is a-ok. Still 2nd in the league in rushing and he has gotten better with pass receiving. Chilly just goes through stretches where he feels the need to pass and it just doesn't work.

He's 2nd in the league? I wouldn't have ever guessed that. I hardly hear about him anymore. I seen that he only got 14 carries yesterday.

AP doesn't get talked about because Chris Johnson replaced him as the media's favorite runner.

AP is still the best in the league, but they don't talk about him because he's old news. CJ2K is the flavor of the month for the Media.

1. How is the building? I haven't been yet.
Its not bad. Its not Yankee Stadium, but its an upgrade. I must say though, I was in awe at the size. Its pretty big. Lots of seats=one giant sea of green.
2. One of my friends has had season tickets for pretty much his whole life. He said him and his dad left in the 3rd quarter of the Miami game in 2000, missing the Monday Night Miracle at the Meadowlands. He actually claims that he had more fun listening in the radio with is Dad then being there.
It was fun listening to it on the radio on the way home, but I definitely would have rather been there. Theres nothing like being in that atmosphere.
3. As I said, The Kid is the real deal, man. He's had 4th quarter/OT winning drives in 4 of 5 weeks. 3 300 games in a row (ok, 2 300+ with a 299 in the middle).
Yes. And the throw to Edwards was absolutely beautiful.

Nothing is Yankee Stadium III. That place is the greatest Sports Venue I've ever been to. Fenway's 2. Yankee Stadium II is middle of the pack. Nassau Coliseum is last.

Agreed. I pretty much thought he was insane when he said that.

The throw to Santonio was better.

Joey Votto with the NL MVP. I'd say the writers are pretty much dead on with the awards so far. Looking forward to the AL announcment tomorrow.

Hamilton! Such a good story about him too. Shame he couldn't win the Series this year. Would've been an epic tale of redemption.

Congrats to Josh. Was the right choice, although I wished Cabrera would have gotten a little more respect then just the 5 first place votes (all by AL Central voters).

Speaking of the Titians, Rusty Smith is now the starter, looks like they gained an extra blocker with dude's forehead,

Victor Martinez to the Tigers. Big Sexy has to love that move.

If he is able to play catcher at a decent level then yes. He certainly won't get any time at first and his DH'ng options could be limited depending on how we fill out the roster. Catcher was easily the Tigers weakest position last year.

Actually, Laird's out now.

From an offensive standpoint, it was a great move. However, he's a defensive liability. I expect him to get 90-100ish games at DH, 30-40 games at catcher, 5-10 games at 1st (to have Cabrera DH or rest). That is if he stays healthy, of course.

Can someone explain how Jose Bautista got more first place votes then Robinson Cano? Hamilton had a great April through August but didn't deserve a landslide victory. And Cano should have had some 1st place votes. Only reason he didn't is because of Yankee Gate, which is a load of shit.

Yeah I misread what he posted, Laird's a free agent. Avila isn't exactly the greatest defensive catcher either and he can't hit for shit. I'd like to see Martinez play more then 40 games at catcher because otherwise Avila will be playing 120 at catcher and no one wants to see that.
