Can someone please explain to me why the fuck Carolina signed Tolbert when they still have DeAngelo, Stewart, & Goodson all still on the roster, & had very little cap room to work with? Of all the holes this team has to fill, RB was not one of them, not by a long shot.

I don't remember even knowing about that much less getting a chance to comment on it. And I laugh at anyone willing to trade for that scrub of a QB. He can run and thats about it.
He has talents, and taking him so that the team can utilize those talents isn't a bad move what-so-ever. Especially for the right price.

Would I rather have a 4th round pick in 2012 or Tim Tebow? I'd take Tebow.

I'd give up this years 4th or next years 3rd for him, most definitely. If Denver doesn't move off of a 1st round pick or a 2nd even, I don't touch him with a 10 foot pole.

And Antonio Cromartie? He doesn't want Tebow because Tebow will run him the fuck over in a practice. Cro is afraid of hitting guys. And this is the same guy that said he would be moving to Free Safety (without not a single Jets coach/Front Office guy even considering such a stupid move). I like Cro, but he talks stupid shit too much.

If he is used in a wildcat and never throws the ball fine, but if you try to ask him to throw the ball don't expect anything. He can't throw, he is better as a running back.
Ronnie Brown threw passes out of the Wildcat. Tebow is a ten times better thrower then Ronnie Brown.

Stewart or DeAngelo will be traded. Likely to the Broncos, who need a running back badly. The coaches in Carolina wanted Tolbert, who was coached to his best years by the very people coaching in Carolina.

If what I'm hearing about Jags and the Tebow is true, I'm going to be absolutely sick.
Because Blaine Gabbert is definitely the answer in Jacksonville. Or Chad Henne.

Tebow is the best option. Not only will he finally lead to a sellout in Jacksonville, but he is the best option at QB of the 3.

I would take Tebow in Cleveland. Then again, I'd take goddamn near anything at this point. I don't think there's been any linkage between the sides, though, nor do I expect there to be.

I'm not saying that. I just don't see what adding another bad quarterback to the roster would add to the team. Adding shit to shit is still shit. Especially when the word on the street, which is also known as Twitter, that the Jags owner Shahid Khan is going over GM Gene's Smith head on this one and negotiating with the Broncos himself, and that the price is up to a third round pick. That's about four rounds too high for him. Also, I've heard rumors that Smith would step down if Khan makes the move.

Tebow is the best option. Not only will he finally lead to a sellout in Jacksonville, but he is the best option at QB of the 3.

Where is the truth to Tebow bringing sellouts? The 2010 season proved that's not the case when Tebow and the Broncos played in Jacksonville week one. I didn't notice more fans being at that game than the rest of them.. It's not like the Jaguars are hurting to sell tickets. Sure, they could be doing better, but there hasn't been a blackout since 2009. I disagree about him being the best option at quarterback out of the three. I've heard just as many people say that they would give up their tickets if the Jaguars brought Tebow in as there are people who say they would buy tickets. Sure, they might sell a couple hundred extra tickets, but I don't think that it's worth it to bring in the shitstorm that bringing Tebow will bring.

Jags players don't want him. The Jags coach doesn't want him. The Jags GM doesn't want him. The fans are split on him. I don't see what how this could possibly be a good move.

All that being said, if Tebow is on the Jags, I would still support the team and hope Tebow proves me wrong. I just don't have confidence that he will.

First of all, Cromartie is an idiot and shouldn't be allowed to speak. Why he would start shit about a potential pick up for his franchise is beyond me. I don't like Tebow as a starting qb but as an H back and possible back up qb he would be great. Sporano brought the wildcat to Miami and is now the O-coordinator of the Jets so there will be a couple packages for him. Plus Rex Ryan has said he wants more of a power running game and Tebow is a better power runner then anyone currently on the Jets roster.

Not to mention Brad Smith had quite a few successful plays with the Jets under center in special packages drawn up just for him, IRRC.

God Cromartie is a fucking ********. I wish someone would just call that prick out already.

Disagree. Also please try to cut down on the swearing. This is a public forum and children view it's contents.

In other news...Messi gets a hat-trick and gets the Barcelona scoring record. Well done Leonel Messi.

Kind Regards, MR Ferguson.

1. Gene Smith will be out. That's not necessarily a bad thing. You're acting like Gene Smith is some sort of legend or something. He ruined the franchise by drafting Blaine Gabbart.
2. Tim Tebow is 5 times better then both Gabbart and Henne. It's a move that would vastly improve your team.

1. They put fucking tarps on the seats, for fuck sake. Yeah they're struggling to sell tickets.
2. The fact that Tebow wasn't even active for the game (which everyone knew already) kinda kills your argument there about Week 1 2010.

Jags players don't want him. The Jags coach doesn't want him. The Jags GM doesn't want him. The fans are split on him. I don't see what how this could possibly be a good move.
So Mike Mularkey, a failed head coach who is an average offensive coordinator doesn't want him, nor does a bad GM.

Good for them, maybe Khan will be smart and get rid of them.
All that being said, if Tebow is on the Jags, I would still support the team and hope Tebow proves me wrong. I just don't have confidence that he will.
I understand that, but he did prove to have success with Denver last year.
Not to mention Brad Smith had quite a few successful plays with the Jets under center in special packages drawn up just for him, IRRC.
Exactly. They would use him like the used Brad Smith. And if someone wants to bitch that "but Brad Smith was a wide receiver, Tebow isn't". Guess what, Brad Smith caught 4 passes in 2010. Even if you want to use Tebow out wide, I bet he could catch 4 passes.

God Cromartie is a fucking ********. I wish someone would just call that prick out already.

Yeah, sorry Mr Ferguson, but JMT is right here. I'm a die-hard Jet fan and like Cromartie, but he's a fucking ********.

Messi is a beast. Amazing talent on the pitch

Tebowmania comes to the Big Apple.

And the Bounty penalties have come in.
-Saints lose 2nd round pick in 2012 and 2013
-Saints fined $500,000
-Saints GM Mickey Loomis suspended for first 8 games of 2012 season
-Sainst Head Coach Sean Payton suspended for the entire 2012 season, effective April 1
-Saints assistant coach Joe Vitt suspended for first 6 games of 2012 season
-Gregg Williams is suspended indefinitely, but no less then 1 year. His suspension will be reviewed after the 2012 season.

Goodell did what he needed to do.

Couple of non-NFL related news:

Michigan G Trey Burke is considering jumping to the NBA. I'd lol if he did, since it'd be the 2nd year in a row UM's had a promising guard jump after they had one good year.

Also, my Spartans are taking on Oregon in football in a home and home starting in 2013. Love it. Giving the guys more of a challenge and more of a national audience is always good, and this has potential to be a really good game (although we'll have to wait a year before we see who's all going to be there for both teams).

EDIT: Actually it's 2014-2015, but still, beefing up the schedule is nice.

2. Tim Tebow is 5 times better then both Gabbart and Henne. It's a move that would vastly improve your team.

1. I'm not saying he's a legend, but he is a fine GM. He has helped improve the team. He's improved the defense from a bottom 10 unit the year he took over to the sixth overall defense in the NFL. He's built the offensive line that made Maurice Jones-Drew the NFL's leading rusher in 2011. His whole reputation rides on Blaine Gabbert. While Gabbert didn't look good at all last year, he was the youngest player in the NFL coming into season without having an offseason and was playing for a coaching staff that was on the way out with a horrible receiving corps. I'm going to give Gabbert another year before I pass judgment on him.

2. I failed to see how a third string QB would improve the team.

1. They put fucking tarps on the seats, for fuck sake. Yeah they're struggling to sell tickets.
2. The fact that Tebow wasn't even active for the game (which everyone knew already) kinda kills your argument there about Week 1 2010.

1. They did put tarps. Without the tarps, the seating capacity is almost 77,000 seats, which is just ridiculous for the size of the Jacksonville market. With the tarps, the seating capacity is 67,264, according to ESPN's website. According to Wikipedia, with the tarps on the stadium, EverBank Field still has a higher seating capacity than the following stadiums (cities in parentheses):

CenturyLink Field (Seattle)
Edward Jones Dome (St. Louis)
Raymond James Stadium (Tampa)
Paul Brown Stadium (Cincinnati)
Heinz Field (Pittsburgh)
Ford Field (Detroit)
Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome (Minneapolis)
University of Phonix Stadium (Glendale)
O.co Coliseum (Oakland)
Lucas Oil Stadium (Indianapolis)
Soldier Field (Chicago)

The tarps just reduced the seating capacity to about the average size of an NFL stadium. The tarps didn't make the seating capacity tiny. They reduced the amount of seats to a more appropriate level. According to ESPN's website, the Jaguars had an average of 92.8 percent of seats filled, which means that 92.8 percent of the stadium was occupied on average. That was better than the following teams (percentages in parentheses):

San Diego (91.7)
Cleveland (90)
St. Louis (86.3)
Tampa Bay (86.2)
Buffalo (85.8)
Washington (83.9)
Miami (81)
Cincinnati (75)

So why is it that the Jags are being picked on for bad attendance when there are teams in much worse situations? So, like I originally said, the Jags could be doing better at ticket sales, but it's not like they're struggling.

2. He was active. He ran the ball twice for four yards if my memory serves me correctly. It's not like he would be much more active if he was on the Jaguars roster. The argument people made is that people would buy tickets just to see Tebow, which has been proven false. Believe me, I was there.

So Mike Mularkey, a failed head coach who is an average offensive coordinator doesn't want him, nor does a bad GM.

Good for them, maybe Khan will be smart and get rid of them.

It's not just that. It's just that Khan would have went over the GM's head and would have put potential profit over the best interest in making the team win. I wouldn't have been able to support him on that decision.

I understand that, but he did prove to have success with Denver last year.

His team had success. I refuse to give one player credit for a team winning, especially when Tebow was barely called upon to pass the ball.

All of this is completely pointless now that he's been traded to the Jets. My favorite part of this whole thing is that Tebow had the choice between playing for the Jets or the Jaguars, and he chose the Jets. I wonder how the Tebow cultists here in Jacksonville feel about their hometown hero choosing somewhere else to play. I love it.

I put way too much work into this post.

I'm curious as to WHY he picked the Jets over the Jags, though. The only way he has a chance of starting without blowing up the locker room is if Sanchez gets hurt. At least in Jacksonville, with a new coach, he would've been able to compete since Gabbert wasn't Mularkey's guy.

I'm also curious as to why Miami wasn't more involved in trade talks (from what I've read). They need a spark this offseason and it's not like Matt Moore is gonna get people going crazy.

From what I've heard, the Jags would have only used him as a 3rd QB, on short yardage situations and on special teams, while the Jets would allow him to play exclusively QB. So, he chose the Jets.

I guess I can understand that. Too bad they're gonna reach Tannehill about 1 round too high now in the draft and get him at #8.

EDIT: That changes my thoughts a bit. I still think he would've been best suited to going to a place that already has an established QB in place and get mentored by them for the next 2 years or so before testing the market, but I guess what's done is done.

According to Tim Tebow, he was given no control as to where he went. Even still, the Jets made it clear that they want him, while the Jags didn't. People want to go where they are wanted, even if the other option is his hometown.

And Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum have said he will be the #2 Quarterback and be used in Wildcat packages. The Jags wouldn't use him.

And to give Tebow no credit for what Denver did is absurd. He doesn't get all the credit, but he gets as much credit as any one individual player gets. To say he didn't pass much is useless. He controlled who had the ball on the majority of the plays, whether it was a pass, QB run, or Read Option.

I can't see why anyone would prefer C. Floppy over him

Joba Chamberlain suffered an open dislocation of his ankle yesterday, while playing on a trampoline with his son.

He was coming back from Tommy John surgery (expected to return in June/July), but now his season is over before it began. It is unknown if the injury is career ending.

It totally sucks for the man, and the Yankees are at somewhat of a loss. Joba was expected to be the 4th top guy in the Bullpen behind Rivera, Robertson, and Soriano when he returned, and he could have surpassed Soriano.
