It's not a bad film at all. It's a good film. But holy FUCK is it overrated, if I see that film on one more Top Ten list I'm going to vomit, it's not even the best prison film ever made. Like I said, very good film, but not this fucking masterpiece greatest-movie-ever that people hype it up to be, not at all.

It's because "I've" has turned into "I" in a lot of American accents. "I have just seen it" would make sense. That doesn't mean it's ok, but there's the reason for it.

Oh, I already knew the reason for it, but the carelessness with which the English language is spoken these days is maddening to me.

I suppose the British equivalent mistake is "could of" as in "I could of won the race, but I never". There's an added bonus mistake in there too, but that's more of a Welsh one.

i always assumed that in your context they mean 'could've' which would make a lot more sence but would sound the same.

but I never makes no sence in the sentence though. it should be 'but I didnt'
