The Shark Should've Worked in WCW
I'm on a swing of bad gimmicks right now. I can't help it, but I'm just really fixated on the bad gimmicks of pro wrestling. I mean, it may be too much of the JTMFTG, but all I can fucking think about right now is bad gimmicks, and all of the bad (and good) they do for our world of professional wrestling. Still, there's just that one gimmick you always are attached to by the hip. One gimmick you'll always love, that when people tend to talk about how bad it was, or how it didn't get over, you just find yourself asking one simple question.

Why?

What's that one gimmick that you wished got over? The one gimmick that you wished lasted longer than half a year, maybe a year tops? Or maybe, what's that one gimmick that you swore was horrible when you saw it, but now you look at it, and actually wish you could see it again?

Mine would be very simple...

I don't understand why Gangrel just didn't get over. I wouldn't even call it cartoony, as the gimmick was actually a pretty realistic, and dark, spin on the character. I mean, you look at how Vampires have taken over how certain forms of media (Twilight, True Blood, Bill O' Reilly), and I can't help but wonder how a vampire gimmick did not get over in the WWE. Why, in all of the land of the cartoony, could this guy not get over, and at least get a run of the IC Belt, if not even as a contender?

His entrance was always so kick ass to me, and the goth-cathedral music he had in the background seemed pretty damn awesome to me.

Don't think he could work a match? Watch this match against Ken Shamrock. sure, he jobs. But he doesn't look terrible out there. He's certainly comparable in there.

Still, for some reason, it just didn't get over.

So, pick a guy that you loved... And it just didn't work for him
