If the Rock was to come back to the WWE, what do you think they would do with him. I mean they already have Cena filling the role that the Rock left and have more physical superstars that could dominate the Rock in the ring like Batista or Khali. My question is: If the Rock was to come back to the WWE could you see him being the same superstar he was when he left and by that I mean dominating title reigns etc. Or would he be a superstar like Shawn Micheals and the Undertaker, where he wouldn't be a title winning superstar but still be in the main event picture. Any thoughts?

Obviously a blood fued with John Cena would be in order. Whether the IWC would like him back, after supposedly "turning his back on us" (thats a mixed issue) is another thing.

To be honest though, whether you would love or hate Dwayne Johnson to be back, the ordinary fan would mark out every time he's on stage and he wouldnt be ALLOWED to be anything but The Rock, the best, the most electrifying....etc.

Why wouldnt you push a guy like that? especially if he comes back? CM Punk? Forget him! We have The Rock! MVP? We have the cocky guy in the Rock! Orton? He might be slightly insane, but have you seen The Rock's promos? HE's F'N CRAZY!
Just a basic hypothesis of what would happen

The thing is, if the Rok came backk there is one of two ways I can see it going;

1) He comes back as the huge mega star, stays there, wins the belt, loses it but still stays a huge mega star a la Undertaker/HBK.

2) They do what they did with Jericho, bring him in go in title hunt for a few months, have him floating around for a bit and then back to the title picture.

Either way it would be massive if the Rock returned, sadly I can't see it happening.

He's automatically a main event draw. Like when Hogan came back he was automatically set in a main event rivalry. When you are this established you don't have to climb any more rungs. I think everyone is on the same page with that.

I see it being no different than when he was in his prime. He was better chasing the belt rather than carrying, so he'd probably be more like HBK/Taker, but with a few runs just to solidify a return.

Way to get our hopes up though.. it'd be great to see The Rock in the ring again.

I dont see The Rock coming back at all. He has a great career in Hollywood. That being said if such a thing were to happen:

He would probably feud with Cena, where they could turn Cena heel if they choose (I know every six year old boy and teenage girl in America would be crying, but he was a good heel), or they could bring Rock back as a heel. Everyone would be glad to see him, but Rock could make wrestling fans boo him by saying Hollywood is great, wrestling sucks etc.

After that feud I'd say he would have a title run or 2 but nothing long. McMahon holds grudges. The Rock would never be put in the same spotlight he was before unless it meant Hollywood stars would work with WWE more. McMahon doesn't like giving guys who "walked out" another shot at carrying the show. Im sure Rock would get main event status and spotlight, but he would never be the top face again sad to say.

I think that it is fairly obvious that he would return to the main event. There would be no way that the WWE has any problem with him being an immediate main eventer given his history with the WWE/F. He was a HUGE draw with the fans, even when he was a heel, of course he was still booed but he was respected. He was one of the most charismatic and talented wrestlers in the WWE/F. I can come to the conclusion that he felt that being a Hollywood star was a bit more important to him than being a Wrestler, but with all due respect, I think he sold out. He made a bit of a mistake choosing Hollywood over wrestling because now His MILLIONS "AND MILLIONS" of Rocks fans are now stuck with a rapper version of him, John Cena. Granted he is a good wrestler and has mic skills, but I would rather see an original in the ring rather than a cheap carbon copy.

If the rock did come back, I would say that he should win the intercontinental championship belt and the wwe championship belt in order to make him the undisputed champ again and more importantly, restore some pride back to the IC belt. Because as far as I see it, the IC belt has lost its value since hunter won it against semi-masked kane back in 2003 (and he also retained his WHC belt). However, first he would need to have a feud with cena for a bit. But make no mistake, cena vs the rock must be a headline for WM25, without a doubt so the writers would need to think of a way for that to happen next year.

If Rock came back, ratings will sky rocket! IF Rock came back, he'd have a one way ticket to mainevent stardom, have full houses every single night! He would prolly feud with Cena, which will be a great way to shut MR.Cena up! Who knows, maybe do it up with Trips, Taker, Y2J and prolly fight HBK at WM..and possibly Rey Rey down the line.

..but sadly, unless if Dwayne Johnson was stupid (he isnt, thas y he's in hollywood to begin with) The Rock is finished

I think that if he came back he would be a perfect opponent for Legacy. Just imagine the Legacy is kicking the hell out of HHH and all of the sudden If Ya Smell...and here comes The Rock beating the hell out of Legacy. Now some would of you say "but The Rock hates HHH" and you would be absolutely right and that is why he would Rock Bottom HHH after he beat up Legacy. The feud would be simple formula and that is who is the greatest 3rd generation superstar. This could lead to The Rock regaining the WWE Title and facing Batista, Punk, Rey, HBK, and Cena @ WM26 and then he can go to Smackdown/ECW and have feuds with Jericho and HHH. Then down the line he could feud with Kennedy, MVP, Jeff Hardy, Umaga, Christian, Shelton, and most importantly Edge, plus their is the Undertaker. The Rock coming backing full time would boost ratings through the roof. My only concern is the whole PG rating because The Rock is at his best when he is "turning that sumbitch sideways" and "whoopin your candy ass" and so on. I think that it would take a very large sum of money but it would be great.

Yes but The Rock is one if the biggest superstars ever, Chris Jericho was not when he returned. You can't compare the two in that way. As much as many hate to admit it, The Rock was as big a superstar as Stone Cold. That's who you can make a comparison with in regards a return, not Jericho.

If The Rock came back it would be huge. He would fill the legend role by having massive, high profile matches not for titles, and end up putting people over. It will never happen unfortunately.

I don't think it's fair too say that it will never happen. I mean sure he's making a few extra dollars for starring in shitty B movies but I don't think he'd go so low as to forget wrestling altogether. I also don't think he would be so low as to forget the people who put him there in the first place. However, in my opinion, The Rock will be back with the WWE before he is done with the spotlight. My only concern was raised earlier. So let me raise this question: Would The Rock fit into the WWE in it's current format and also, would the WWE welcome The Rock back?

If he were to come back I would want a long feud between him and Jericho. But he will never come back. He is the smartest guy in the history of wrestling, he made himself a household name, became one of the 3 biggest stars in wrestling history, cemented his legacy and moved onto a bigger money making career that is a hell of a lot easier on him physically and mentally, and he is still young. Nobody else in wrestling has been able to do what Dwayne Johnson has and I find it hard to believe anyone will again. Well done Dwayne

I miss seeing him on WWE but at the same time am happy for him for making his life after wrestling a huge success and any other REAL Rock fan out there should as well.

IMO The Rock is the greatest overall WWE/F superstar ever, and would simply make the ratings sky rockit along with making wwe great again, some of the ideas such as giving The Rock the ic title would be horrible. he would just simple main event everything possible.

trevis.hull is right, if the rock did come back, the PG rating might hurt him in terms of his mic skills. He would need to tone down some of his promos.

Regardless, I doubt Rock would return if his run with hollywood ended..he might just live low and chill for the rest of his life..the only thing I can see him doing if he retired from hollywood too is doing the odd promo every year..wrestling hurts, and i dont think rock wants to work 365 days a year all over again, why else would u leave wrestling for acting..I think we should be thankful he is alive and well, especially considering the toll wrestling is taking on human beings in terms of their life!

I'd like to think that do the same to The Rock as they do any other star who has the audacity to leave WWE. That being a return with isn't exciting, a crowd responce that could have been better, a win, followed by a loss the week after, followed by a Money In The Bank spot, then him becoming just another guy on the roster.

That's the Christian example, but it's virtually the same for anybody else.

But The Rock would probably face John Cena. Boring.
