Rock to host new TNT Reality Show.

TNT has just picked up The Hero, a new reality-competition series headlined and executive produced by Dwayne Johnson, AKA The Rock.

The new show will set out to find the next great hero, bringing ten ordinary people together in a house and assigning them a series of missions that will determine their strength, intelligence and moral stamina. Johnson will act as the contestants' mentor and motivator. In the end, one person will claim the title of a true hero.

What makes The Hero different from most reality-competition shows is that it will fully integrate social media into almost every aspect of the show, including casting, voting and on-location shooting. The series will also utilize Johnson's own following on Twitter, YouTube and Facebook to reach out for creative input.

The network has ordered eight episodes which will begin airing in summer 2013.

This could either be really good or bat shit insane based on what the missions are for each guy. The premise isn't a bad idea but I hope they can have good ideas to fill up TV Time. It all depends

Strength test - bench pressing 300lbs = boring. Dragging a 250lb dummy out from the bottom of a pool saving its life = good.

Intelligence - figuring out a rubiks cube = boring. Figuring out how to foil a bank robbery using your brain and brawn = good

Moral Stamina - Running a mile = boring. Running down someone who stole something = good

All depends on what they do.
