The Return of "The Red Devil" Crimson!

It's Damn Real!

The undisputed, undefeated TNA &

Digging the new look, too! Weird as his sorta grown out hair cut is right now (looks like it's in that odd stage where you are growing it out and can't do much with it), the "Red Devil" army thing is great, and the "dance with the devil's own" call out was pretty sweet as well. The military garb plays into his military history and gives him more of a reason to exist than the old gimmick he ran under did, which hinged completely on him being undefeated. When that went out the window, all the the air went with it.

It kinda sucks he lost the BFG series spot to Joe Park, but with Jay Bradley already in the BFG series, I can't imagine this would have been the best opportunity for another guy in need of a real push through the series anyway. Probably best he re-establish himself in a singles feud outside of it first, me thinks.

I can't be the only one happy to see him return though, can I?

I have kinda always liked Crimson. I dunno I haven't seen much of him all this time but every time I have he has kinda stood out.

Now he is in camo hot pants and boy does he stand out!

I can't believe he lost in the opening fucking round. Well hope they build something for him. Might just catch his debut match.

I like the new hair/beard. I didn't like his old spiked hair.

this is something that really bothered me about last night. made me feel like screaming. what absolute shit booking. you bring back Crimson after like 12 months, only to F'n job to Joseph Park. I have no problem with another jobber like Park being in the BFG series, but they didn't need to bring back Crimson for THIS. even if they wanted to have Crimson back, I think it would have looked better to see Crimson lose to Samoa Joe, and Joseph Park could have been the one to beat Robbie E.

kind of made me wonder if Crimson is feeling wronged by TNA, if he could end up being someone in Sting's new MEM.

if not, this is just a real waste to bring him back and lose.
could have been a real good way to re establish Crimson, by winning through and being one of the top finishers in the BFG series.

The loss had some sort of a purpose, TNA is going somewhere with this guy. They wouldn't run a segment following the loss if it wasn't. It's a plot point.

The way I see it, Crimson is off his game. He's been gone for a year, he's rusty, he's confused. What I am also wondering is if he'll end up in the new Main Event Mafia. I can see it happening under the right circumstances.

Either way, I always liked him and he seems better on the mic. He's always had a good look, he's able in the ring, all he needs is proper booking. Can TNA provide it? I wouldn't bet money on it.

I thought it was interesting that Crimson had his "Coalition" jacket on and the camo gear. I'm hoping this leads to Jason Wayne being called up and him and Crimson forming The Coalition in TNA. For those who don't watch OVW, The Coalition have been tearing through that promotion for a good while now and Crimson has really built a good character for himself. The Red Barron of Ruthless Reconnaissance (Crimson) and the He Man of Homeland Security (Jason Wayne) have been portraying characters who genuinely think they have fought in World Wars (decades before they were even born) and I've found it to be very entertaining. Both men do have genuine military backgrounds but some of the stuff they think they've been involved in is great at times.

TNA is also in need of some new tag teams and these guys have been working as a tag team for almost a year now I think. I'm just glad that Crimson is back on the main roster as I've always thought he had something about him and he's proved that in his time in OVW. If TNA don't go down The Coalition route and just push Crimson as a singles star I'll still be interested in seeing what's in store for him.

It's not a knock on him, but the best thing about Crimson is his look. Not that he sucks in other areas, but he really has a great look! Looking forward to this incarnation of him.

The undefeated thing wasn't sustainable, but this type of character, who I'm assuming is closer to Crimson in real life, is something to look forward to.

Also, I can't see those Maltese crosses (I think that's what they're called?), without thinking of Triple H.

Crimson most likely will be in Sting's new Main Event Mafia. During an interview during last year's Bound for Glory series, he mentioned how he looked up to Sting for helping the young guys in the back.

He's going to have an attitude that's he's upset TNA turned their backs on him (shelved him for a year) thing that leads him to Sting.

Plus Sting's gonna need some big men to counter Knox and Gallows.

It's great to see Crimson back on TV and I have to say it s been too long, The guy has oviously made the most of his time down in OVW and has retruned with a great new look and is sounding a lot better on the mic, Which was by far his biggest problem during his first run. Know though I can see TNA keeping him around and not needing to send him back to OVW. As long as they use Crimson correctly and give him a bit of a push I think he could easily establish himself on the roster and it would not surprise me in the least if he became a member of the new Main Event Mafia.

The guy's got a pretty big upside to him but jobbing him out to Joseph Park of all people on his first night back is the type of crap that irks me about TNA. If he's going to lose like that, let it be against a guy worthy of moving a feud forward with and not Joseph Park, a more than played out angle that shouldve ended months ago. Any excitement I had about Crimson returning immediately got squashed by him jobbing out to Park. If it was Abyss, it would've been better, but instead it was Park who's supposed to be a guy who can't effectively wrestle unless he's bleeding or whatever. Yawn. To me, it's like TNA's telling us not to take Crimson seriously because they don't have anything meaningful for him. He's just going to be relegated to working with mid card jobbers while being booked to look weak. He should be thrown right into the mix with the main event'ers and let him learn from guys who are in the spot that Crimson should be groomed for. Instead, we're probably going to see him work a program with Robbie E. or something equally as ******ed. Here's a young athlete with a great look that they should be pulling the trigger on instead of relegating him to Matt Morgan status. Herpa Derpa Dee Derp.

It's nice to see Crimson back, and I hope the loss to Park extends to something better. Chances are he could end up with a shot at the TV title. Plus there's talk of him being in the new Main Event Mafia. The guy has an upside for sure; he could be put in another tag team. I actually saw him teaming with Gunner at one point. He won't get a crack at the title anytime soon, but he has a ton of potential to be a major player in TNA.

When I look at Crimson, the first thing that usually springs to mind is: what's the big deal?

Apart from his look, I've yet to see anything particularly extraordinary about him. He's not awful or anything like that but people have talked about him like he's the next big thing or something for nearly 2.5 years and I just don't see it. That's not to say that there isn't potential there, he's only 28 years old so there's potentially a lot of time for Crimson to be molded into something significant.

Crimson as part of Sting's new incarnation of the Main Event Mafia, at this point in time, isn't at all impressive. The last time I saw Crimson on television, it seemed as though TNA's biggest priority with him, and Matt Morgan, was to be sure to plug Direct Auto Insurance before ultimately ending his "streak" via James Storm at Slammiversary in a 3 minute match. This past Thursday is the first time I've seen the guy on television in almost a year and he loses to Joseph Park, also in about 3 minutes. So yeah, despite the new look & all, Crimson kinda sorta looked like a scrub. A guy who heads down to OVW for a year, comes back for a night and jobs out to Joseph Park in 3 minutes isn't someone I'm going to be excited in seeing as part of a faction, even if it is started by Sting. Although, it might make sense having a team of, mostly, scrub heels taken on by a team of, mostly, scrub babyfaces.

Haha that sounds amazing and they should definitely run with this on TV some day! Maybe not right now since the Aces are the big faction going now but definitely somewhere down the line I'd like to see this Coalition faction!

I actually prefer his original look. The problem wasn't his look, it was that he was pushed too soon and you never got to find a reason to root for him other than "oh he's undefeated". It should have been a slow build process where he first team with his "brother" Amazing Red in tags.

Hmmm, I like the look of the Coalition and think they could play well into the tag team scene (probably better to drop the comedic aspect tough)... especially as Gunner has a similar background to both Crimson and Wayne. A storyline with them trying to drive a wedge between the tag team champions could have potential both ways, particularly if the Cowboy isn't involved in the MEM / A&8s plot. Storm ending Crimson's original push would tie in nicely.

Tag teams are a great way (in TNA) for wrestlers to get experience and heat, this could be Crimson's time to shine.
