The return of the Angry Giant?

Pardons if this has been posted already...

On Raw tonitet we saw a serious interview with Big Show..Then saw an angry giant beat down Otunga...So do you all think that his comedy days are over and hes got his sights set on atitle reighn??

I personally LOVE the idea of him as the monster squashing everybody...WWE needs to put the belt on him and keep it there a few months...

I dont think so because wwe is all about $. They dont care what we want as fans. plus if they wante 2 put the belt on him they would have done it already. But ido eventually see a title reign for bigshow just not wwe/whc more like us/ic that is just 1 man's opinion

will he get another reign? probably not, but even if he were going to it wouldnt be anytime soon, maybe after mania, big show is somewhat of a draw but no way a big enough draw to win the rumble or get the title anytime soon, i do want to see him as the angry giant tho i do agree with that

I see big show maybe becoming a member of Nexus. There are three reasons I believe so. First, this may explain why Barrett came out and attacked Big Show on Smackdown, maybe its some secret Nexus plan he knew about before he was booted out. Second, the Nexus salute after the Otunga beating seemed to be aimed at the Big Show. Lastly Nexus needs new members because it seems Slater and Gabriel are out.

I really don't see Show joining a CM Punk led Neo-Nexus... I bet Punk's probably still upset about that unmasking and 500-pound decimation of the Straight Edge Society.

I'd be down for a serious face Big Show. An intense guy in the ring, but backstage he's not a prick. He'll destroy the competition, but he's not out for blood or anything. It'd be something different (or at least that we haven't seen in a little bit).

I was just thinking today about Big Shows career and how he has played a variety of roles from heel to face, serious to comic and where he should go from here. I prefer the serious Big Show who is a bit of a monster. Looking back to his early WWE career and his Heyman/Lesnar days he was a threat and had meaningful feuds. A top feud with someone like Triple H or even Orton would seem fresh and if taken seriously could be a nice feud. Have it become personal, involve backstage attacks, in match interruptions, attacks, etc..

His upcoming feud with Barrett could be done good too if it becomes personal and serious with Barrett getting to Show and Show coming back to get revenge. Overall Big Show is an asset but the continued comedy segments and meaningless feuds are beginning to make him less valuable and meaningful...

I have never been a big fan of Show. He has always bored me to sleep and I think he is very sloppy in the ring.

That being said, he is certainly better as a heel who is out trying to hurt someone, than as a friendly giant who does comedy (which is never funny). I hope we do see a return to the big nasty bastard, if we have to endure Big Show at all. He is much better as a bad guy due to his size, and how he can demolish opponents with the chokeslam.

Personally, due to his size, I believe he is much more effective as a heel as why the hell wouldnt you be scared of a 7 foot monster who is angry and wants to smash you to pieces?

Question is, in his feud with Barrett, is he going to play the heel? I would expect a Face turn from Wade after leaving Nexus so this does leave the door open for Show to turn back to the dark side

I'm sorry but this post is a GIGANTIC contradiction. WWE doesn't care what we think AND they are all about money. Where do you think their income comes from? Yes that's right, it'd be us. If their aren't catering for you yourself don't assume that none of the fans like to see big show as having a comedic twinge to his character, lots of people, myself included, rather enjoy it.

To answer the thread, I would say he may drop it somewhat leading up to mania if he gets involved in a serious storyline... but otherwise if he is just locked into a tag team feud or another petty feud I think he'll maintain his comedy aspect and why not, he can be pretty funny, not very funny mind... still got santino for that.

I doubt it. He's still going to be a face as he's at his best in years in this role. I think he'll get more serious about trying to win something though which isn't a bad thing at all as Smackdown could use some more top faces. Big Show is a guy you can throw into that roll perfectly so there's nothing wrong with that. I doubt he'll be all pissed off all the time but he'll have more serious moments I think.

To be honest, I think they're going to keep him as he is for a while longer. Doing a massive beat-down, especially on a heel, does not a heel-turn make. I seem to recall Cena doing that on returning after his neck injury to Chris Jericho. Didn't make him go heel, though.

Now, I could see a more intense and less jokey Big Show happening. If they actually wanted him to have meaningful feuds at this time, they'd do so. Right now, however, I think they're trying to milk the goofball "Knucklehead" persona in order to continue to push the Big Show's movie a little more, rather like Batista doing his big heel turn about the time his movie (the name of which I can't recall just now) came out.

We'll just have to wait and see. To be honest, I can see Big Show being around for a long time. He can perform and has a good deal of versatility to the type of character he can play, but I don't see him getting any more titles any time soon. He had a good two-in-a-row tag-team championship run with Jericho and The Miz, but I don't think he's going to end up with any main event championships any time soon. I would, however, love to see him win the royal rumble, even if he isn't able to get the title at Wrestlemania.
