Glad to see we're on the same page here. But, I do disagree that it can be innocent until rpoven guilty. Within one post a bot or some shit will/can be spotted very easily. And, when it is revealed, they have broken a rule and must be banned. But, sometimes a staff has to take into consideration of the situation they are dealing with. And I understand the want to protect the old posters. I do. But n time those old posters will leave (living proof) and you will need new ones to replace them. If you've run new ones off then what happens? A slow, boring death.

We are usually on the same page, lol. You should know that by now. Anyways, back on topic, the new posters are important and they should be protected but a paradox is created because a forum does not know a new poster's agenda. Will they continue to post into the future of the forum? Will they be a brand name for the forum? Will they be a shining star in a pool of nobodies? or Will they be a shit stirrer down the road? Will they ditch this place when they find something better? Will they purposely cause problems on their way out? All things a forum (investment) must take into consideration into who they back in situations. I, and you, see the faulty logic in it but when it all comes down to it, it comes to statistics and deciding what tips the scales of making the overall contribution to the forum, the safe bet is the person who has been here forever, instead of the unsure bet of the n00b who has just begun posting, it is all a gamble, one that when money is involved will result in the safest bet no matter what kind of ******ed logic it is based on. Personally, and I am sure you will agree, there needs to be a happy medium of both and only then will you succeed on all fronts, as the current way things are done it has the potential of turning people away, even though it is the safe bet, which like you mentioned has a potential effects on the future of the investment.

We are talking about the prison system you have in place. You might not run off n00bs, but you also do not give them the option of a prison term instead of a banning, which is what me and Hell's Pyro are discussing why it is not done.

A guy that's been banned from this place more times that I care to count, who was even banned by the old "great" Moderators. Bear in mind we ban posters that have already been banned on sight so banning Zero was completely within the rules.

Who wants or for that matter likes that kind of stuff? and for that matter who would think it would be acceptable on a wrestling forum? I know a couple 100 of the Old WZ'ers and I have yet to meet one who feels the need to have such things on a forum or to make it public that they look at it. If they do, they are doing it on their own time without anyone else's knowledge, which personally is up to them, different strokes/different folks I guess, but yeah, I have no idea where that is coming from, especially considering you are going on what you have heard instead of what you have seen since you were not there.

These are very intelligent posters who would be very beneficial to these forums if they came back. I could go into a list of others, but to be honest I do not have the time right now. Basically, what I am saying is instead of automatically assuming the worst, give them a chance and try and have a conversation with one of them, you would be surprised what rational logic and conversation can get you, instead of automatically taking the defensive and doing anything to try to get them to leave. If they become a nuisance then get rid of them, it isn't like the option isn't going to be there, but if you never give them the chance you could be losing out on some really great people in the process.

To be fair I was here from around 2003 onwards I remember things like Ghetto and Sober deleting the Boards, the shocking removal of the Babes section and even the inception of the Prison. There were a lot of great posters around in that time, however the majority of the posters that were still around before the crash left under less than good circumstances and harbor a fair bit of ill feeling towards the board and the old owner (Brian). Most of the posters that do just come back usually come back to simply start shit up around here and judge the job we have done with the forum. Things have changed around here whether those changes are good or bad depends on your perspective and if old posters really want to come back and start actually contributing I dont think any of us is going to have a problem with that, however the problem will arise when they start complaining about various things and talking crap about he way in which we run this place, Zero was a prime example last night coming on and acting like a dick. Couple that with a few other instances we have had with other posters coming back and starting stuff up is it any wonder that you guys are met with hostility when you do sign up, even if it isn't to simply start shit?

Intelligent discussion on all subjects was a common theme through out all forums and I can not, honestly, remember anything even resembling beastiality on here. Was there porn? Yes. As for the banning of zero. I understand there are rules and rules are meant to be followed but at some point we as human beings must use our own inner judgement to decide when those rules need to be enforced. Zero might have been banned here before but does he not deserve a second chance? What if he had changed and wanted to actually contribute his insight and knowledge to the board? What if he was trying to recruit people here because he was tired of our site? You turned that away and possibly destroyed the opportuinty to obtain new, intelligent posters based solely on past judgements. And that is an injustice.

I know there was a lot more to this board than Porn and Wrestling... and I'm sure others realise that too.

Zero is one of the most troublesome members this site has ever had, forget second chances... it'd be more like fifth or sixth for him at this point. Go and take a look at the posts he made in the Complaint thread and you'll see exactly why he wasn't given another chance. He came in flaming and baiting people about this and that basically slating the forum... the judgement was made that he needed to be banned. Fact remains if someone is stupid enough to make 50 different Alt Accounts they dont deserve another chance. Rules are Rules and that's the way things work around here, on the odd occurrence the rules have been bent to give someone another chance, but someone like Zero with his personality problems would last about 10 minutes here if given another chance.

For the record, he was banned for his actions last night by Mods that didn't know who he was at the time, it was only this morning when a few of us came on that we knew it was actually him. That's not turning away posters based on past judgements, that's banning idiots which is exactly what the Mods here do.

I am not saying that you can not be wary of the situation, but to automatically assume the worst is what I am talking about. I mean I was a part of WZ back in 03-04 and have I caused any kind of problem? I want to believe that if anything I give you all an example that everyone is not the same and posters old, newer, and brand new should not be automatically thought of in any one respect. Giving people a chance is the key to making it not seem like such a hostile forum, like I said before, you always have the option later if they do something down the road or minutes into their stay, but automatically seeing someone from the past and getting into it with them isn't helping to make this seem like a very friendly and accepting site. I mean with the last person's comment I responded to and Chris Vegas' post saying yes to my question of that first post, to automatically group people from the past as troublemakers/shit stirrers/add whatever analogy here is kinda offensive to be honest. Basically, if the poster in question is going to shoot themselves in the foot it will be easy to tell very quickly, what I am saying is don't be the ones to load the gun for him.
