The Pointless Thread

OK i'm confused, I just got a PM from Coco asking me if I knew we had a VIP room. Do we have one? I remeber people talking about it a while ago. Did anything actually come of that?

Definetely slow, should pick up though, believe today is the last day to vote for the first set of matches for the posters tag tourny, so people will probably be on debating in a little while.

If they wanna help Russell maybe they should get him some lessons on how to throw the damn ball.

But to help him they need an o-line to give hims time to throw the ball and open holes for the RB, an RB can be rather worthless if they don't have an ok o-line to open up holes for them. The best O-Lineman is gone so they should just take McFadden, atleast this why they have a young QB and RB to build around while they get an O-Line.

:lmao:

Russell doesn't know how to throw the ball? :lmao:

I sense someone here hasn't seen him play. With an O Line too. Russell would have one of the strongest and most accurate arms in the NFL, have he has some time in the pocket and drop some weight.

McFadden just makes the most sense, why? He will be the best player on the board.

Besides for that, I am interested to see who the Patriots get, if somebody drops to them like Ghlodston or Ellis, that would be sick. Also watching the Broncos, but they will draft a OL, important, but boring. Wondering about the Bills, they will probably trade down, at least I hope they do, then draft Limas Sweed.

Who gives a shit if he's the best player? You take what you need. The Raiders have Bush who is a fucking stud when not injured. And Fargas whos been a good backup for years now. Why spend 32808239082438123948 dollars on a RB you don't need? Makes no sense.

Take Gholston. He's overrated but they need the pass rush, Long wouldn't fit in that system, Gholston would.

Neither Bush or Fargas are McFadden, you can put McFadden at WR if Bush is on the field, but he has to get healthy. Gholdston might happen, but it would be too high for him. You cant go wrong with McFadden, he wont be a bust, he is an explosive playmaker, too good to pass up. If the Vikings would have gone with there need, they wouldn't have taken AP, worked out for them!

:lmao:

People said Herchel Walker wouldn't be a bust. Seriously, this is one of the most atrocious classes in my recent memory outside of Alex Smith and company, I wouldn't spend a dime on something I don't need. McFadden is a fumble waiting to happen, and that speedy running away from contact crap doesn't work in the NFL, ask Reggie Bush.

And last year, Vikings needed corners, they didn't take one and the secondary was horrid. Oakland will take Gholston, Davis loves the monsters, and he would fit perfect in their scheme.

So your telling me taking AP was a bad thing for the Vikings, getting one of the best RB's in the league for the next 10 years is a bad thing? Drafting a corner or a DL isn't going to have an immediate impact this year, because rookies at those positions dont usually make immediate impacts, ask Mario Williams.

St. Louis will be drafting a punter at 2nd. Mark my words. Punter = Biggest Impact Position in football.

McFadden is no AP, not even close. The knock on AP is his legs stop apon impact, wtf is that, AP's legs wouldn't stop even if they were tied to a goalpost
Hence why the raiders haven't had a winning season in years, they don't draft their needs, they draft their wants. They could have Dan freakin Marino at QB right now in his prime, and if john elway was in this draft they would take Elway because he's the best player.

Running backs? 10 years? ROFLCOPTER! :lmao:

More like 6 or 7.

McFadden isn't even close to being an AP, in college or NOW.

Not even close, AP holds onto the ball better, is only slighty slower and takes the contact and even enforces it.

Drafting a corner doesn't impact? When we drafted Newman we were LOADS better. Seattle, when they got Trufant after the Raiders passed up on him? Loads better.

Mario is nothing like Gholston, Gholston is more like DWare in Dallas, oh yeah.....Ware wasn't an impact alright

Take what you need, pass up on the Running Back.

McFadden not being no AP is not the point, the point is that drafting based on needs is not always the right thing to do. Last year the Raiders took Russell, a need, when you draft a franchise QB, you need to get him legit help, he has none right now. You cant hope that Bush will be good once he gets back from his broken leg, there is no guarntee. Let me say this, they should take Chris Long, if they dont want him, McFadden is the next most logical pick, Ellis and Gholdston aren't worth the fourth pick. Also, they have Kelly and Burgess on the DL, there DL is not as bad as people make it out to be. There biggest need is OL, should they try to draft Ryan Clady? I mean that is there biggest need, no, they should take McFadden because at this point in the draft, if they are not taking Long for some reason, McFadden is the next best choice.

Oh yeah, lets draft a guy who takes plays off, rarely shows heart unless he is rushing the passer, thats the type of guy the Raiders need to take. If they are drafting a DL, which isn't that big of a need, they should take Long, if they dont like Long because of his Dad, then they are already making a mistake and should take McFadden so at least they get the best player available.

ROFL!!!!!

Long doesn't fit the need of the system like Gholston. Long is strictly a DE, he can't work the OLB spot. Gholston can. Which they need badly, easy choice here. You take Gholston.

Takes plays off? No heart? :lmao: Someone's been listening to McShay. People said the same thing about Merriman, ROFL, that worked out alright.

How often did you watch the Big Ten games last year, imagine you didn't get many of them in Texas, I watched at least half of Ohio St.'s games as I am a Big Ten fan, one game he looked great, the other you didn't even notice him, he does take plays off....FACT.

The thing with Gholdston is what is his whole draft status being based off, a good combine? Seriously, he wasn't considered a top 5 pick till he had a great combine, now all of a sudden he should go 4? I dont think so.

When McFadden is a bust and Gholston is heading to the Pro Bowl. I'll get back to you.

I didn't watch Big 10 games because the Big 10 is utter shit, but he has the stats and FITS THE SCHEME PERFECTLY, Gholston is a pure example of the new breed of LB's. Take him.
