The Pointless Thread

I hate people. I was at work tonight and we close the door at 8pm on weekdays and the last 4 tables of people sat and talked for an hour. They were done with their food thay just sat and talked, which meant I couldn't finish my job. I wanted to kill all of them by the time they left.

Will someone go and watch the two matches and say what they think of them? That is the WotW thread just so you know. I wonder if people will get the Linkage between 48, 49 and 50.

Why did San Antonio trade for Kurt Thomas? They gave up a first rounder and 2 players in the process:disappointed:

Why did the Mavs give up draft pics and young players for a 35 year old player? Why did the Suns give up Marion for an injury and foul prone Shaq? Seems the Lakers are the only Western team to get a player under 30 in Pau Gasol.

well Jason Kidd is a playmaker and he is still one of the best PG's in the game. He doesn't turn the ball over, he scores points when needed and he can rebound. throughout the years Dallas always needed good rebounders. I believe the PHX trade was so they can get a leader, and a big body.

Dallas made the move as their team has a short window to win it all as lets face it for the Mavs the only young guys they had were Ager, Harris, and Howard. So to be honest getting a 25 year old j-kidd is not that bad. They only have at most 3-4 years left tow in it all so it makes since. Anyways as long as Cuban own the Maves he will get FA.

Sill old players and kidd shot bricks in NJ, they won't get more than 2 years out of either of them. Gasol was out there, clearly the Mavs could have offered more for Gasol than the Lakers did.

Kidd is still an upgrade from I turn the ball over in crucial situations Devin Harris. The two years out of Kidd is all they want. Gasol? I am not a bog fan of Gasol because he seems to struggle against bigger players, and good post players.

Well, he never had good backup in Memphis, he is shooting lights out in LA so far.

True, but no one knows their back up. Did anyone know Michael Jordans back up? Does anyone know Tim Duncans back up? Backups play for several minutes, unless you have a really good bench, but that is far and between in the nba nowadays.

Ovechkin > Crosby.

FACT.

Crosby has had dominance over the NHL in his career, and he would still be dominating today if he didn't get injured.

Crosby has been the best player in the NHL for about two seasons now, and he had one hell of a rookie campaign also.

I mean players starting around him, he had no real good center or small forward to help him. In LA he has Odom who actually out rebounds Gasol and soon Bynum who averages 10 rebounds a game, not to mention Kobe who spreads out the D. Thats what I meant.
