Since this is the Pointless Thread, I'm gonna ask a simple question that I didn't wanna open a different thread for, simple because it's Uninportant.
We all know Cameo Appearences in movies. I just saw a fairly unusual one in Spiderman 3 that I can't find anywheres else on the internet. In the scene where Peter and Blonde Girl are at the Jazz Club and Mary jane is walking around, you can clearly see William Dafoe in the background in an extra role. Yet, isn't his charecter a bit to important to the series for him to risk an Extra role? I just want someone to look at this and confirm it to me.

Movie makers will do this all the time. I think the Friday the 13th series used actors who had died in previous films as extras. It sort of an easter egg thing, to see if fans notice. I haven't noticed Dafoe in the movie, but I haven't watched Spiderman 3 since the theater.

But thats the thing. Dafoe WAS in the movie playing Harrys Father's Ghost. He had an actual role, and yet he was ALSO an extra! I don't think it's good for one person to play more than one person in a movie. Unless it's The Quest for the Holy Grail.

I personally don't mind it. I don't think it was meant to mean his ghost was in the restuarant, or that he was. Its one of those things that no one will notice the first time around. Its just a fun little extra to add for people who buy the DVD.
