The Pointless Thread

I actually don't mind it that much no. It gives the girls on SD something to do. And getting a champioship means getting to see more Maryse on TV, which is always a plus.

Beth won't be champion for long. ^_^

Not so! It was the same back a few years ago, a combination of *insert heel diva* then Trish *insert heel diva* then Trish, and when Trish turned heel *insert face diva* Trish. It worked though so I can't exactly say it was bad.

Melina should be champion next.

Yeah, but no one today is as over as Trish was. And I wouldn't even say that worked. Plus, she always had Lita for the big match.

They're so similar! Both Canadian, both start out as heels, both improved extremely quick, both are blonde! LOL

And I'll restart the lappy tomorrow too tired for it to load back up slow now. XD

I've always thought Trish got over for three reasons: One, her amazing looks. Two, her massive chest. Three, she grew up in front of our eyes.

The internet wrestling websites are actually ridiculous and pathetic. Just came to realise that completely, today.

For one, the WZ staff felt the need to put 'NOT' in capitals when talking about SS not making history. I guess it's some big revelation! Jerry Lawler was wrong, and WZ have proved it!

And then secondly, the amount of articles on Jeff Hardy's storyline, which from the ones I read, deliberated whether or not it was real. I mean, are people that desperate that they MUST know if something is a work or not? And then they talk about 'not being able to trust WWE.com with their news stories from now on'. For Christ's sake, when has any smark gone to WWE.com to read the stories there and when have they ever been 'trustworthy'? And is it such a crime to actually not care about whether something is 'real' or not? If smarks didn't persist in wanting to know every detail, they'd actually have less time to be wasting by criticising the storylines in WWE. Maybe the storylines would be better if you actually suspended a bit of your disbelief like the casual wrestling fan does?

If one smark can prove to me how knowing about people's returns months before they happen, knowing what's real and what isn't and knowing who's going to do what next week, can possibly make for enjoyable watching, I will pay them money.

It doesn't make it more enjoyable necessarily, but it doesn't make it less enjoyable either. To the people who understand wrestling for what it truly is, it really makes zero difference in the show. I don't watch the WWE for shock angles, I watch it for professional wrestling. For the stories being told, the character development, and the action in the ring. And knowing all the backstage stuff really doesn't change any of that.

Sure, it's good to be surprised once in a while with a Cena return, but at the end of the day, shock TV only matters if you can put something good on TV to go with it.

It's the people who go online and read spoilers...and then complain about not being surprised in wrestling anymore that bother me. If being surprised is what gets you off, then I suppose you should quit ruining your own surprises. But, as far as being "smarky", I don't have a problem with it ruining a show's quality for me.

On a side note, you should have made this a thread, not in here where it gets lost in the shuffle.
