The Pointless Thread

Meh, I am jealous. I won't lie. Did you hear the bashing of how old we are? :lmao:

I guarantee you, after the Duncan era is over,

Spurs = New Hawks.

Parker isn't old and not even 30 yet. I am older than he is. The Lakers and Spurs are not far apart age wise. Did you know both Lamar Odom and Pau Gasol are almost 30? Late 20's, 27 and 28. Fisher is well over 30 and Bryant has passed 30 as well. The lakers just trade their old guys and draft well.

Yeah, but what I mean is we need to get in gear and add some youth.

Thats what the draft is for. I'd draft a power forward and make him Duncan's back up, being behind Duncan and coming in off the bench could help. Better yet if Duncan mentors him.

Maybe.

Don't you worry. Good ol' Pops will figure everything out

I wouldn't be counting on Bynum coming back and making any significant impact. He was supposed to be back already, hasn't been cleared, he will be lucky to get cleared and if he does, he isn't going to make a huge impact because its been so long.

I would still be worried about your Brewers bull-pen, besides for that they look good, but Sheets needs to stay healthy. I think the the D-Backs are coming out of the West if Webb and Haren stay healthy, of course there bullpen is an issue too.

Sheets health is the key but I still believe that even without Sheets the Brewers ar still significantly better than those overrated Cubs. and for the bullpen they have reliable arms in Shouse and Torres and some shaky ones in Turnblow Mota and Gagne, I see Gagne getting it back together because those two blown saves hes had have been on one time mistakes such as not being able to warm up on the soaked wrigley field bullpen mound and shaking off the changeup call with two strikes so he could get the strikeout to electrify the crowd which obviously wont happen again and after seeing him pitch the last two days Id have to wait to make a final verdict on Gagne

but once Fielder and Braun start swinging hot bats watch out national league because theyre already producing loads of offense with those two hardly hitting above .200

Its still too early to make a call on the MLB, but the NBA on the other hand.......

The Nuggets picked up a big win over the Rockets today, just one more win or a Warriors loss and they are in the playoffs. Considering the Nuggets get Memphis and the Warriors play Phoenix tomorrow, I like the Nuggets chances. Would that mean a Lakers/Nuggets series? Damn that would be entertaining.

Rangers > Brewers.

I mean this.

No. Not at all.

BoSox beat the Yanks tonight, took the series 2-1. Good stuff. Dice-K was a bit shaky, but still got the W. Not as good as yesterday's game though; that game was chock-full of defensive web gems man.

Yeah, thats why they spent all of 40 seconds giving the highlights of the game on Sportscenter tonight, which opened not with the Yanks-Sox, but with a good 3 or 4 minutes about the Masters Tournament.

Please, enough with the "ESPN is biased" horseshit.

:lmao:

40 seconds? Your full of shit. Turn on ESPNEWS, Sportscenter, Baseball Tonight you name it. It'll be on it for a good few minutes or so and even tommorow on PTI, ATH, M&M etc.

Cut it with that shit.

You win again. The masters has dominated the channel, seems every other story is on it.

And Red Soxs/Yankees rivalry is one of the longest and most heated in all of sports! At points the fans wanna kill each other! A little over the top, but there is a shitload of bad blood there.

Moving on now because this is just going to turn into a flamefest just like the other night.

How many more games do the Lakers have DIAR?

Meh, I guess Wes doesn't understand why the biggest and most heated rivalry in ALL OF SPORTS would deserve to be talked about a little longer then the Rangers vs. Orioles or some shit like that.

No, I understand that but a regular season game or series doesn't have to be treated like the playoffs.

But whatever, think what you want. It's nothing I didn't expect since your from the east and all.
