So what you're saying is that when I try and have an intelligent conversation with you, if it's something you disagree with, it's garbage. But you can spurt out one-liners that really don't mean anything besides throw out cheap shots, and it's equivalent to the works of Hawthorne?

I'm not completely sure. But I do know the hotel part anyways. They killed that one spirit that haunted the hotel, so it was more or less abandoned for a long time.. and they just took it over. I'm not sure how they got the permit and everything, but later in one of the latter seasons, Lila gives Angel a bunch of paperwork that basically gave him complete ownership to the hotel.

He had the car in the very first episode of Angel, I'm assuming he had money from Sunnydale, before moving to L.A. and bought the car. He could easily break into any department store to steal the clothes and hair gel.. but if you remember, he was a detective agency (of sorts) and he was paid (most the time) for what he did. Thus is how he afforded everything.

Joaquin Phoenix did a pretty good job of sounding like Johmmy Cash though. If I hadn't known he sang his own songs, I'd have thought it was Johnny Cash with Phoenix lip synching.

I can always tell. Joaquin's voice is softer and doesn't have that same gruff quality that's in Johnny Cash's voice.
