The Online Late at Night Thread

There's my John Hancock for ya.

Sounds like someone I would like. Does he do full books or just short storys? I'm not a big poetry man myself, but I do like books.

Cortisone for you... shoulder right? I have to get a cortisone shot when I go home, but it's for a cyst in the back of my head. Hurts like a bitch, but only during the injection and for a few minutes after.

I did nothing to earn such a meal, I didn't even have to ref a game at work tonight. I worked the score sheet for the first one and the second and third game were forfeits so I didn't have to do shit.

I earned these Cookie Crisps. I had to spend a day at the Free Clinic getting shots for Hepititis E (didn't know there was a D). That place is slow as fuck.

Shoulder. Not the first time, my shoulder is totally fucked up. Took one too many a hit, and just kept on throwing. Should be healed up 100% in a few months... Finally.

Congratulations man, hopefully it stays healthy for a good long time. Before that though, let's have a push up contest!

Ha! Challenge!

Pshh, I was delusional in high school. I told myself if I kept my injuries to myself and played through it I'd get a football scholarship. Sure, D-II schools and smaller schools came, but hell if I could get into Utah full-ride academic, what was the point of annihilating my shoulder? Fuuuuuuuuck.

I'm pretty beast at push up competitions, not gonna lie. Not saying I could take on the likes of Liger or NorCal or any other workout enthusiasts here, but I can hold my own against most.

And as long as you had fun and made good memories I wouldn't look back on it with too much regret, especially if it's going to be healed long term now. So you didn't get to play football at the big schools, big deal, it's only football. Having a lifetime of good memories is much more important.

Funny thing is, the game I got my shoulder destroyed there were a plethora of scouts there. I took the hit early. I couldn't bring myself to leave. I had to stay in. Every single time I threw for the rest of that game I felt a stinging pain, a tugging, followed by numbness. Every fucking time.

Had to keep going. I mean, I could walk on here at Utah, but the question is how worth it would it be?

PS: I love push ups. When my shoulder heals up, I'll max it out.

I've been doing that 100 pushups thing that LWO posted a while back, I can do about 60 straight now more or less.

SNS, it was a few things. My shoulder blade and the joint had gotten "rubbed out" so to speak and it was also a rotator cuff/dislocation type of thing. None of them were 100% major, all really minor, but together they fucked it up good. Non-operative treatment though.
