The Official remove your lips from Ric Flair's ass fanclub

Id say so. Triple H has dominated from the attitude era, until now. And can match classics with anyone. They may be gimmick matches, but classics non the less. If you say austin is better, then Trips has to be too, as Trips has been far more dominant for far more time.

But Flair was a bigger name than Trips is today.

HHH right now, according to a certain group of people isn't even WWE's top star and really never has been.

Tis true sir.

And those people are simple minded. Being married to Vinces daughter had nothing to do with his in ring preformance. And it wasnt till recently (in the grand scheme of things) that he and steph were actually married. When the Mcmahon-Helmsley storyline started, he and steph barely knew each other.

Agreed with you in a way BUT Steph has even said herself that if Trips ever fucked up, it would hurt him. So IDK.

I like HHH though, I just don't think he's on Flair's level, neither are top 5 anyways.

Yup.

Number 4 and 5 is up for grabs for anyone really. Anybody could make a debate with them.

Sounds like a good thread for the spam zone. Hmmm.

The problem with Triple H is he never was the main focus of the company, minus a brief run in 2003, but even then he was over shadowed by Goldberg and Lesnar. Triple H has never been the man, and when he was the man, he didn't draw, and those are facts.

correction, I will give credit to Triple H and the rock on that one, because the both of them played off of each other. I don't think the Rock could have drawn that by himself (even though he has the highest rated quarter hour in Raw history to his credit with him and Foley). However, a lot of that success in 2000 was because of the Rock chasing the title. When Austin and the Rock were gone, and it was Triple H's show, the ratings took a dive off of a cliff.

wow you mean THE ROCK and STEVE AUSTIN left, and the ratings took a dip??

Unfathomable. All Triple H's fault he, by himself, couldnt make up for the lack of Austin and the rock. lol

no, but they had all of that momentum and Triple H wasn't able to keep half of the audience they once hand. Triple H became the man, and people tuned out.

well like I said, I think that could be attributed to a large number of things, not just Triple H being inept as the main guy. Its the same as people saying the undertaker has never been "the" main guy, but you cant dispute his greatness. Taker was also around during the post Austin-Rock dip, no?

yeah, but he was shipped to smackdown. Honestly, a lot of people won't agree with it, but a ton of guys I know that watched during the attitude Era stopped watching after Katie Vick, and still won't watch it to this day.

Doesn't matter who was involved, it's a huge blackeye for the business that a lot of people were turned off too. It was horrible timing, it wasn't like the Logofixion with the Deadman, they were white hot, and nothing could go wrong. The Katie Vick thing happened when the business was trying to hold onto what viewers stayed after the abortion of an angle with the InVasion storyline, and then they just pissed anyone left away.
