BUILDING KICK!!! EXPLOSIONS!!!
I was reminising when I was younger and the moments that got me into wrestling. Years ago, I was flipping through the channels and I came across the SNME (I think thats what it was) and watched Shawn Michaels superkick Marty Jannetty before throwing him through a plate glass window. I was stunned, but couldnt look away. From then on, I was hooked.

I had watched wrestling a couple times but not as a fan, more out of boredom. But my friend and his dad were huge fans and i was over at his house on a monday night.

I didnt recognize any wrestlers in the ring excpet for Steve Austin seeing that he was the biggest star at the time, and i recognized Mike Tyson. I didnt know why he was there and i knew someone was gonna get it from him. But then i got a brief glimpse of the man that was Stone Cold.

That got me right there, but it wasnt until i started watching old matches about a year later that i gained the love and respect i have for it now.

The first classic match i watched was Macho Man vs Ricky Steamboat after i had heard that it was one fo the best matches ever. That match had got me completly infatuated.

i got into wrestling because 2 of the greats. I was a little kid so i actually believed it was all real :P. So i turn on my t.v and monday night raw's on. It was a little bit before the first hell-in-a-cell so undertaker was playing mindgames on shawn micheals. I did'nt really know what was going on but, i loved it. From that day on i became a HUGE mark for taker and micheals.

Watching the actuall hell in a cell match between them at badd blodd( on vhs btw) sealed the deal and i became absoloutley addicted from that point on.

I remember what got me hooked, Wrestlemania X. It was the first pay-per-view I ever watched. And the opening match was a classic. Bret vs. Owen. Anyone who has seen that match and experienced it in real time needs no explanation. For those who didn't see it, it was pure magic. It was "poetry in motion." It still stands out today as one of greatest matches in the history of professional wrestling.

Then, there was the ladder match. My favorite wrestler at the time was Razor Ramon. The atmosphere, the shining belts, the innovation. It was an epic for the ages. It was revolutionary. But what thrilled me most was that Razor Ramon won, and became the undisputed Intercontinental champion. It was a thrill.

The ending of the show was brilliant. Bret, who earlier lost to his younger brother, was hoisted on the shoulders of Razor Ramon and Lex Luger as the new WWE Champion. And all Owen could do was stare at his brother and utter "what about me?"

I was hooked. I still am.

I was a fan in the old wwf days cause my brothers always use to watch it, it was funny that i only new the rock stone cold mankind taker kane and hhh then i stoped watching it when wwe started when all the guys like the rock and stone cold went i only watched it a few times after that there was nothing to watch i went to channel 5 and it was smackdown and it was 2006 november and it was kane vs mvp in a street fight it was mean and funny that the only move I new was the chockslam and then a guy i did not know who I do now mr kenndy came out and him and mvp attacked kane and kane lost then the only music i rembered from wwf bong lights out taker is there and then wasted every1 and did a double chockslam on mvp and that was the 1st time i had ever seen a double chockslam then i got hooked and keeps watching it if i did not turn to that channel i would not like it thank u sky one lol :undertaker2: thank u undertaker u safed me from likeing rugby

I was about 7 when my dad showed me his collection of tapes of the WWF Additude era PPVs The first 4 stuck with me forever the matches in order were

1 Rock vs HHH Backlash 99
2 Rock vs HHH 60 Iron man match Judgement Day 99
3 HHH vs Cactus Jack Street Fight Royal Rumble 99
4 Four Way Dance Rock Vs HHH vs Big show vs Mick Foley

ever since then i watched wrestling

My mate showed me one moment on a video which had me hooked permanantly.

Shane McMahon at Backlash 2000. He dove off a 50 foot stage people.

He then showed me the hardcore triple threat and TLC 2 from WrestleMania 17, which sealed the deal. I've watched ever since.

I'd watched it in bits and pieces before, but I'd never really got into anything and never really understood what wrestling was about.

My moment? Paul Bearer trying to hit Austin with a shoe as Kane's one day reign came to an end.

at a freinds place and his brother had ordered wrestlemania 13 on ppv, watched austin vs brett hart, hook from then on. one of my favourite matches

I watched wrestling with my dad when I was younger up until 97. Watched the occasional big match, I grew up on the Undertaker and just remember thinking this is the coolest SOB ever.

1999-2001 were great for wrestling in my opinion. I can remember so many classic moments, matches, and feuds. I stopped watching around 2003 and just recently picked it backed up. Octoberish probably.

I think i was aware of the WWF from about 91 onwards. Undertaker Vs Hogan being the first match i ever remember seeing. Didnt see it again until Bret Hart Vs Bulldog at Wembley. I think the first full ppv i saw was the first King of the Ring but i really got into wrestling around the end of 94 when my dad started buying videos. I've watched fairly solidly from Survivor Series 94 onwards.

:flair: Sting vs. Ric Flair at the very first Clash of the Champions on TBS. The first time that Sting and Flair ever wrestled! It was a one hour tv time limit for the World title. This was the turning point in Stings carreer that took him to the top. Five star PPV match for free on cable tv. The match went to the tv time limit and Flair retained the title but i will never forget the first time i ever watched wrestling. I think i was 6 years old now im 27 and i havent missed it since. Thank you Sting and Flair.

i was very young (about 7 or 8) and i just moved to a new house. I was excited cause i got to stay up late, and my mom let me watch SNME. The first guy i ever say wrestle was Rick Rude in a squash. Now mind you i was 7 or 8 and grew up strict catholic and went to private catholic school, so seeing Rude do what Rude did was eye opening (think about your parents and Elvis). After that i began watching shows like superstars and Monday night wrestling on usa. I still rember getting excited because the cabel company screwed up and i got to watch wrestlemania 10 for free!!! I have been in and out of it over the years (for various reasons, mostly due to poor products) i was still a casual fan leading up till about 3 years ago when i got a DVR box at my house (you would not belive how easy RAW is to watch when you can fast forword through comercials and diva matches) after that i became kind of a fan boy. Was about to give up on wrestling all together until i read about Ring of Honor. Anyone who has seen me post on here, KNOWS how big of a ROH fan i am. They made me love wrestling again. so yea 20 years later and i'm still a fan, GUESS I NEVER GREW OUT OF IT DAD LOL!!!!

the first moment that got me into wrestling and the first time i watched it was in 1997/1998 when i was still a kid , was when stone cold was champion and the rock was starting to get really hot and the rock took austins custom belt and threw it over the bridge with steve following and then stone cold came back the next week with a monster truck and destroyed rocks car and drove it into the arena with a masive brawl ( i think it was an episode of livewire) . then on i was a wwe fan and still am.

geez..i've been watching wrestling since I was like 2 when my grandfather and me would watch it. That was a good 10 years before the first episode of RAW...like 14 years before the first episode of Nitro. hell, it wasn't even WCW yet. It was still Crocket's NWA. I went to my first live event and got to meet Lex Lugar, Sting, Dr. Death Steve Williams, The Sheepheaders (better known as the Bushwackers), Ric Flair, Midnight Express (Beautiful Bobby & Loverboy Dennis). I was hooked. watching WCW friday, saturday and sunday nights (even though saturday was their big show pre-nitro) and WWF on sunday afternoons. I remember watching Dusty vs. Tully Blanchard in a Ladder Match. I thought that was insane. When Magnum T.A. had his motorcycle accident that ended his career. and of course, GAB when Sting finally beat Flair to capture his first world title

Don't remember the exact time but my earliest memory was going to a house show in Saskatoon (around 93?, I would have been 4) The only things I remember are the Bushwackers and a Razor Ramon - Jeff Jarret match. Razor and the British Bulldog were my favorite wrestlers. I used to rent different wrestling videos every Friday with my allowance. The one I watched most was the 1991 Royal Rumble. It opened with The Rockers beating the Orient Express, Virgil turning on Ted Dibiase, Macho Man not appearing (can't remember why he didn't come out durung the rumble), Tugboat was number 30 and Hogan eliminated Earthquake for the win. I don't remember watching WWF on TV until The New Hart Foundation - DX Angle that concluded with the screw-job, but I had watched every Wrestlemania up until that point and most other pay per views.

My moment that got me in the WWE doorway was the return of HHH in 2002. I had no idea who he was, and he got this reaction like he was Superman himself. I was not dissapointed, and I was 100% behind him, mark style, all the way to Wrestlemania.

I was "into" wrestling a little bit during the build-up to Hogan-Warrior at Wrestlemania VI and followed enough to know that Slaughter took the title off of Warrior and Hogan won it off of Slaughter the next year. But after that I did not follow very closely. Some how some way I knew who Bret Hart was and a couple of others, but I did not watch much ... until 1997-1999. I remember Stone Cold getting quite huge and remember a lot of the WCW/NWO stuff. I had the dumb wrestling game WCW Thunder and got a little into it. I had someone lend me Wrestlemania XV and I was HOOKED! From all aspects of the game from the Internet to the PPVs to the marks the smarts the heels and faces ... I was hooked and I have not looked back.

You got your years off a little bit. Backlash 99 was Austin vs. The Rock. The ones you are mentioning here are WM 2000 (4-way dance), Royal Rumble 2000 (Cactus Jack and HHH), Backlash 2000 (Trips vs. The Rock) and Judgement Day 2000 (the GREAT iron man match). This was four out of five GREAT PPVs to start that year (No Way Out in between had Cactus Jack and Trips in Hell in a Cell).

That is about the time I got into it too. The Rock vs. Stone Cold build up for Backlash. This was great because somehow, despite Stone Cold being the champion, they still made it seem like he was the underdog because he was trying to get his "smoking skull" belt back.

When I first started watching wrestling every week was in 2005, my favorite year in wrestling because of so many great matches and rivalries. It was March 3rd and John Cena was defending the US title against Orlando Jordan. This was when OJ was in the Cabinet with JBL and Cena was going after the WWE title which JBL had. JBL interfered with the ref knocked out and hit Cena with the WWE title. The ref got back up and OJ won the title. There was also the Mysterio-Guerrero feud which i loved. That got me hooked on and i have been watching ever since

:hogan: Greatest of All Time!

the first time i started watching wrestling was during the fueds of D-generation X and rated RKO, and that got me hooked, and now i am absolutley obsessed with wrestling.

Been watching wrestling since 1998. I remember seeing The Rock and Austin alot. They really got me into wrestling. Their promos were very good and well done. Defininatly The Rock's. I never knew who Shawn Micheals was until 2002. Somehow i missed the whole "comissiner of the WWF" thing or mabe I just don't remember. I remember Austin and Foley as "comissiner" though. I never really herd of ECW yet and I really didn't like WCW even the nWo. D-X however had a few people in the group and those few people in my opinion really beat out all ten thousand or so members of the nWo. Still 10 years later I'm just as hooked on wrestling as i ever have been.
