The Hiphopapotamus

The Dude abides
Well,at the moment,TNA really has 3 faces of TNA management.Jeff Jarrett,Mick Foley,Jim Cornette. But which one is the most suited for the job.Well, here are the vital statistics and my opinions:

Jeff Jarret
Role:
Founder
Signature Move:The stroke,guitar shot
Well, Jeff Jarrett took the ultimate sacrifice in starting his own company 7 years ago,Total Nonstop Action.Since then,it has become hugly successful and is watched all over the world. He is a multiple time world heavyweight champion,2 time king of the mountain winner and the man who helped build TNA|from the ground up.He took a little break with his wife dying, and is now back,as a face, despite being the most hated heel in tthe company before it.
Now I do believe he deserves some spot on management,he took the risk and deserves the reward, like any entrepreneur. And I do believe he should be given credit for the company,as founder. But stop shoving it down our throats. We're constantly reminded of how you're the founder. We get it.What I don't like is him being a wrestler still, but with all the control of founder.Wrestler's houldn't be given that control. Not to me.

Mick Foley
Role:
Executive shareholder
Signature moveThe mandible claw with mr.socko.
Now,when Mick Foley appeared on Impact!,I fucking marked out.And then he said he was going to stay,as Executive shareholder. At first I was excited, but now I resent it.Constantly using it as a way to get things his own way.He comes in and wins the title, denying the younger wrestlers a chance. He didn't even give them a rub,he just dropped the title to Angle.
The same thing as Jarrett,I mjust don't like wrestlers having that much power, kayfabe or not. They might think that it's interesting, but personally,I'd rather a single man,non-wrestler,calling all the shots. That's how it should be.Wrestler's jobs are to wrestle, not to make backstage decisions.

Jim Cornette
Role:
Face of TNA Management
Signature Move:being red faced and shouting.
Where the fuck is he?I haven't seen him in months, and only once or twice since Mick Foley came.He should be the one making all the decisions.I know that founder outranks managers sometimes, but that's the
difference.Management manage, and if they don't what's the point.Wrestler's are supposed to wrestle, and not worry about backstage stuff.Cornette's entertaining on the mic,and really fits the bill off the angry, stressed "boss".

Now Jim Cornette is the Man I want to take care of TNA's business. Not foley. Not jarrett.I couldn't give a damn about their power struggle. They should be focused on wrestling, and leave Cornette to take care of the rest.Or else give one of them the job,and let him retire.
In conclusion:
  • There should only be one in control
  • The boss should not be a wrestler
What do you guys think.

I don't know what's going on with Cornette, but he's an incredible "GM" character, definitely much better than Foley and Jarrett. Bringing Jarrett back as the "boss" created the storyline with Foley, but now that they're an "alliance", Jeff has no reason to point out that he's the boss all the time, and Cornette should get put back onto TV.

I don't mind when the bosses wrestler, I just mind when they're not the best option to play the role as boss. Vince McMahon is a much better on-camera boss than Jarrett. Everyone knows that Jarrett owns the company, or at least started it, and if he wants to wrestle, he should hand over all his boss rights to someone else, Cornette. They'll probably start doing that soon

I have to agree completely. I'm so tired of hearing Jarrett say "As the Founder of TNA!" We know already, just get on with Ur promo and stop repeating Urself. Jim Cornette should definately be the only one calling the shots here. Jarrett can be the Founder who comes in about 1 or 2 times a year to overrule a decision that Cornette made or something just to keep things interesting. Foley should just be a wrestler and stop all this Executive-Shareholder nonsense. When Foley came in as Executive-Shareholder I thought, ok this might be a good thing. But now he's wrestling too and got a title shot ahead of many people who I think deserve a title shot at this point. If TNA is not careful, they'll end up just like WCW, but that's a whole different topic.

Jim Cornette is not only an amazing on screen boss but was great as the boss of OVW. The man is a wrestling genius. If Jeff Jarrett and Vince Russo would work behind the scenes and write the material while Cornette booked the matches TNA would be greater than it already is.

Now I do like the Foley/Jarrett angle but I must say that I would love a Foley/Cornette power struggle angle even more simply because Cornette was a booker and has a documented history with Anger Management problems. That would not only be entertaining but also believable.
