The Main Event should be a Fatal 4 way, and here's why

I know that with less than 2 weeks to go until WrestleMania it's not likely that many things will change as far as the matches that are already set. I know it's not a guarantee that Lesnar is leaving after WrestleMania. Let's just get those out of the way. Now, let me explain why I believe Rollins and Orton should be added to the match and make it a Fatal Four Way for the WWE Heavyweight Championship.

Reigns has made significant improvements as of late, but I still feel it's too soon for him to get that John Cena-esque push and win the WWE title. For argument's sake, let's say that Lesnar IS leaving after WrestleMania. How do we know that it won't be the same as what happened between him and Goldberg at WrestleMania 20? Y'know, where neither man cared about the match and it ended up being one of the worst in 'Mania history? Well, the circumstances are almost the same. The only difference is Reigns will be sticking around, and if Lesnar doesn't care about how the match goes, it could spell disaster for Reigns, regardless of whether or not Rollins cashes in. Besides, we saw what happened last year when Lesnar was forced to call the match after 'Taker got a concussion. Add to the fact that Reigns probably has very little experience calling a match himself, and we have potential for a giant clusterf***. Not the best way to start your run at the top.

Now, whether you agree with that or not is your choice. But why add Orton and Rollins, you ask? They already have a match at WrestleMania. Yes, they do, but it's not completely out of the realm of possibility for Rollins to use his briefcase to enter the match. I'm not entirely sure how Orton would be able to get in, but I'm sure they'll find a way. Now, as to why they should be in the match. Rollins would be able to provide the highspots and be able to prevent the match from becoming a possible snorefest, and Orton is a ring general who would be able to call the match for Reigns and Rollins. Reigns and Lesnar can still have the knock-down drag-out brawl that people want to see, but having Orton and Rollins in there can add so much more to the match than just two big guys punching and suplexing each other for 30 minutes.

I know, it won't mean as much if someone were to pin Lesnar to win the title in a 4 way as it would if Reigns were to beat him one-on-one, but the match isn't always just about the result, is it? This way, WWE is in a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation where either WWE is forced to go with a guy who isn't quite ready or a guy who doesn't care about the company representing it and your fans never seeing your top title on TV or PPV.

So, what do you guys think? Is this a better alternative? Again, I know it's not likely to happen but I definitely think it's a better scenario and better overall for WWE if they do end up taking the Reigns route. I know there's still the possibility of Rollins cashing in after the match but if it's seen that Reigns can't go in the main event of their biggest show of the year regardless of the eventual outcome then it wouldn't bode very well for the remainder of his career, will it?

I don't think we need a fatal 4 way because they already have an ace up their sleeve in Seth Rollins. His MITB briefcase might be the only thing that saves this match.

The match will come down in one of 3 ways. Lesnar will retain and beat the holy hell out of Reigns or Reigns will somehow pull out the win of his career and win the title. If the match goes sideways, or if the fans start shitting all over it, which they could quite well do, then Rollins will be sent in like the cavalry to save the day.

I don't know if the fans will be happy that Rollins walks away with the title, but there is only technically 3 people that have the chance. If Lesnar leaves, then it's down to Reigns and Rollins. The lacklustre responses that Reigns has been getting might propel Rollins into the top spot.

Can't really see this happening at all.

Both Reigns And Rollins need to be standing on their own two feet come the end of Mania. Putting a 4-way would be a means of protecting someone(Reigns mostly) and I don't think that is the way to go whatsoever.

Ntm, Rollins is better served going forward if he can knock off the Viper at Mania before cashing in as such a win would be huge for him, especially if he can do it alone.
Likewise, Reigns going over Lesnar 1-on-1 would also do wonders for him, whether he ends Mania as a Babyface or not, it will give him legs as a Singles guy going forward, especially 'kayfabe-wise'.

I would have preferred if the main event was inside the Chamber this year.

Lesnar vs. Bryan vs. Reigns vs. Orton vs. Rollins vs. Ziggler

They could have easily had the IC title match without Bryan & Ziggler involved. And Orton & Rollins could continue their feud inside the chamber & after Mania.

(Rollins) MITB briefcase might be the only thing that saves this match.

I'd sooner have that at the end of the match than have a contest with more than two competitors.

While Triple Threat or Fatal 4-Way matches have their use, I always prefer to see a match for the world title contested with only two people. As in boxing or mixed martial arts, a bout for the world championship should be the ultimate test between the two best contenders for the title. Mano a mano.....one wins, one loses.

In the main event of WM31, you've got Brock Lesnar who, despite being a part-time mercenary, has been painted as head & shoulders above everyone else in WWE in ability......and he's going against a young superstar whom many feel isn't ready for such an opportunity, yet has beaten the other top contenders and is a logical choice to be in a match with Lesnar. Both men are big, strong and determined.

Why would WWE want to ruin the purity and mystery of such a match-up by adding other performers to it? Does anyone want to see the ignominy of Brock losing his title while not even being involved in the deciding pin or submission? Does anyone want to see Roman win the belt by pinning Seth Rollins while Brock is dealing with Randy Orton outside the ring? I sure don't.

As I said, matches with 3 or 4 competitors can be useful.....but not in this one.
