The Guilty Pleasures In Your Playlist

I betcha there's at least one song in your MP3 player that you'd rather not hear when other people are around. Maybe it's embarrassing because the song is from a music genre you are not that fond of. Or maybe it's a theme song from a TV show you really like, but find it embarrassing for others to find out. Or a song that people might find it as something uncharacteristic to you. Well, don't be a chicken. Your annoying best friend isn't watching. Admit it here.

Here are some of mine:

"All The Things She Said" by TATU. This lesbian innuendo song has a beat I can't get over. Weirdly catchy lyrics, and two great singers. I'm a guy who tends to favor Metal and Nu Metal, so it is a bit of an oddball in my playlist. Picture my iPod going from Metallica to that.

With my Power Rangers thread in the TV&M section, it shouldn't surprise anyone here that this is on my playlist. Still pretty goofy though. It's the theme to a long-running kids show revamped by a Hollywood budget after all. Metal-like guitar and drums aside.

I would most likely be shot in the back of the head and a few other things by the metal community for the next few songs I'm about to post. But I like them so fuck it

A Day to Remember - "The Downfall of Us All

I've never had a huge reason for likeing that song. One reason, the little duh duh duh duh duh part at the beginning and in the song. It's catching and makes me want to slo-mo dance.

Dr. Dre - 05 - The Chronic - Nuthin' But A G Thang

The Chronic album>? I knew Dre and snoop were fucking crazy but a few years ago when I first got ahold of this album I was fucking amazed. That album was fucking great, good old school rap that still can't be topped today.

Biggie + 2Pac - Paper Planes

This song... I've posted it a few times on wz. It's a fan made remix, and I haven't got around to downloading it. But this was a huge song for me last summer. I would smoke and just set and lisiten to this shit. It was a great fucking remix, and it still reminds me of simpler times.

Killjoy your not the only with T.A.T.U in your playlist I also have "All The Things She Said" and "Not Gonna Get Us" on my Itunes playlist and if you listen any of there songs they aren't that bad and they sing agenre I wouldn't normally listen to

Other guilty pleasures on my playlist are:

First heard it on "Due South" a program that was made in America but wasn't very populer over there but it was very populer over here in the UK in the 90's and then they repeated the episodes quite recently and this song was played during part 1 of "Victoria's Secreat" which in my mind is one of the best episodes of anything I've ever seen, and this song was played and it was a perfect fit for what was going on and the song itself is just so well written

I feel sorry for Rick Astley because of the whole "Rick Rolling" thing on Youtube when actually he is very a very talented Musician and this song proves it

Most people probably know Ant and Dec as those annoying TV presenters....well before they hit the heights of stardom they have now, they were 2 young actors trying to be popstars...and I absolutely LOVE this song. No idea why, but I remember that I used to have it on a smash hits compilation tap years ago

Also off that same tape. Andre has never scaled these heights again! "If you wanna swing, let me do my thing!"

I actually think Pink has a pretty good rock voice, and I like the guitaring in this song, no matter how cheesy it is.

Stand By Your Man by Tammy Wynette
This is definetly the guilty pleasure on my ipod, I have alot of old classic country ranging from George Jones, Charley Pride, Patsy Cline and Tammy. But I admit that I love this song, especially for singing loud and bad intentionally. I've gotten some strange looks when I pull up next to someone at a red light with this blasting.

Scatman by scatman john is mine. It's just an utterly ridiculous song but i cant get enough of it. It's totally out of place on my playlists with pearl jam ,arctic monkeys and The Black Keys but it holds its own.

I'm not really embarrassed by any of the songs that may appear on any CD's I have or listen too. Most of my friends know that my choice of music is very random and can be anything from pop to country to opera. I'll listen to pretty much anything. Though if I had to pick a song that would embarrass me around some who I'm not totally friendly would be this one:

I hate the Miley Cyrus version, but this version just gets me to tap my feet. It is well mixed by the guy who made it and everything just flows so well together. I'm sure rap enthusiast wouldn't be thrilled to hear popular rappers mixed into a Miley Cyrus song, but it doesn't bother me the tiniest bit.

Yeah I know. I can't explain it, but these songs are just catchy as shit to me. I only listen to them once in a while but I have to admit, their a guilty pleasure of mine. These are pretty much the only songs I'm embarrassed to have in my collection. However,

There's absolutely no embarrassment with this one. I consider a guilty pleasure simply because it really doesn't fall into the criteria that I usually have when I listen to music, but I don't care what anyone says. This song kicks ass.

My wife caught me listening to this once. I was pretty embarrassed. She's got a great voice, it's just to bad that most of her music is shite. But when she performs classics like "It's A Man's Man's Man's World" as she did at the Grammy Awards or whatever she sounded fantastic. Too bad all her music isn't like that.

This is my embarrassing song.

It has been played over 540 times since it was downloaded...

This mightn't be the typical embarrassing song but my mates are all rap listeners (much like me outside of this song) and would crucify me until the end of time.

First and foremost, I am a rock enthusiast. I love just about everything to do with Rock, whether it's psychedelic 60's or Nu Metal, I don't care. If I can headbang to it then it's practically listed on my music player.

With that said, here is Conway Twitty:

In all honesty, I can't stand country. But Conway has always spoke to me, because his music is goddamn sexy. Even before Family Guy pretty much made him popular again. He is a smooth mofo and I'm proud to say down the line I am related to him. I dig his style.

I don't think there are many better pop songs than this. It is completely out of place every time it comes up on shuffle in between Black Label Society, Godsmack or 2Pac, but I dare you to get me to turn it off, cos it fucking won't happen.

The only good song Imbruglia ever did, but its a bloody classic in my eyes. She looks stunning on the video too, which is always good!

Considering my friend likes Rock i don't really say i like these songs but my taste varies i can listen to any song except Screamo and techno

Ceine Dion - My heart will go on

Do I like Ms. Dion? No. She's a phoney and is quite full of herself. Do I like this song? No. I fucking love it. In my earliest memories I remember the Titanic as probably the first film I saw that wasn't created by Disney. This song has always been stuck in my head and honest to God it is probably one of my all time favourite songs. For the film it was perfect in every aspect.

Laday Gaga- Born This Way

I'm no Lady Gaga fan. She's a wonderful artist and to say she isn't is complete bullshit. But she just isn't my cup of tea. Some of her songs get played a lot and you can't go anywhere without hearing the songs therefore they ass rape my ears sometimes. This song Born This Way is an amazing song. I sometimes find myself looking for the song on the radio whenever I'm in the car or on MTV hits or whatever. I can't explain it...like at all. Its like I'm hypnotized whenever I hear the song. I get the message of the song. She's a good spokesperson for the LGBT community and often incorporates that into her music and therefor she's a great symbol for ummm...not the normal person- "born this way", get it?. I don't like the song for its lyrics or whatever, it's just the combination of her vocals and the notes, just awesome.

"Like a vergin" by madonna. Don't get me wrong I love madonna but when my friends see it on my ipod they try to make jokes so I try not to listen to it when their around. Funny story is my girlfriend got me hooked on her songs lol
