The Greatest Fued Ever

I was mentioning just the personal one on one fueds. I never even thought about WCW vs. WWE. I'm not completely opposed to you mentioning that rivalry too. I'm with AA Styles I think said it the Invasion Angle in 2001. I know people are split on the angle and people say it could have been a lot better. But in reality it brought out some of the best fueds during that time period and built up and made a bunch of stars. One of the best fueds was Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Kurt Angle. These guys worked really good together. And as I mentioned the Invasion Angle created or helped elevate several stars including RVD, Booker T, and Gregory Helms.

Tag Teams I guess can be included too.
The Hardy's vs. The Dudley's vs. E&C is one of the best.

I'm shocked and disappointed that not a single person so far has mentioned what I believe is the greatest feud of all time and that is Hulk Hogan vs. Andre The Giant. Andre was "undefeated" for fifteen years and gets a smaller trophy than Hogan during his four year reign as champion. Then Hogan basically stole Andre's spotlight and Andre was pissed off and turned heel. The actual match itself may have not been the greatest, but the buildup and the emotion between the two competitors makes this feud the best ever.

I'm going to go way old school and bring up a feud that was absolutely huge at the time, and that was the feud between Fred Blassie and John Tolos. This particular feud was the rivalry that established Blassie as a major face in California, plus the matches that Tolos and Blassie put on were an exhibition of brutality for their time. If I'm not mistaken, this was one of the few times that Blassie was ever cheered in the ring, remarkable because he was undoubtedly one of the most hated heels in wrestling history. This feud played a big part in giving Fred Blassie more national exposure, and eventually led to him coming to the northeast to work for Capitol, which would eventually become the wwwf/wwf/wwe.

Austin Rock: Two complete opposites Austin was a rebellious redneck who went against authority Rock a good looking corporate guy who followed the system. Any match they had was electric from IYH DX in 97 to Mania XIX in 2003 they always stole the show. Most important they had great chemestry between them.

Austin McMahon: The feud that was the Attitude Era McMahon did what he could to stop Austin from being on top by using Superstars his own Power whatever it took. Austin would always top him to get the upper hand in the feud.

Hart Foundation USA: The feud of 97 that began as Bret Hart V Stone Cold that turned into Canada V USA it was amazing Bret went from the big babyface to most hated man in the US he did a great job behind his heel persona of 97. The matches were awsome as well a feud which produces as many great tag matches as well as Singles matches must be great

Some of the best feuds I've seen:

Dynamite Kid-Tiger Mask: These 2 put on some of the best matches of the 1980's and were revolutionaries of the lightweight division who inspired a generation of future wrestlers !

Freebirds-Von Erich's: My personal favorite feud, these 2 teams lit the state of Texas on fire between 1983-1985 ! They drew big houses and huge ratings as the hometown team, the Von Erich's, faced off with their biggest threats the invading Freebirds !

Midnight Express-Rock n Roll Express: From 1984-1986 these 2 teams put on the best series of tag matches in the business going through Mid-South and continuing in JCP. Just fantastic in-ring work and throw in Jim Cornette and you had a feud for the ages !

Austin vs. McMahon. When you think of the Attitude Era, this feud is the first thing that pops in your head because it was the highlight of that era. It contained so many memorable twists, turns, angles, storylines, matches, it brought out the best in McMahon, turned Austin into the biggest thing since sliced bread & Hulk Hogan and I'm pretty sure it inspired future boss vs. wrestler feuds cause no one had ever seen a boss vs. wrestler before this (I dont count WCW vs. NWO because it was a stable vs. the whole organization not just one wrestler vs. the boss alone). Hell there was a VHS/DVD made on this feud, you wouldnt see that with any other feud as good as it may have been. Actually I wouldnt call this a feud, it's too big to be called a "feud". I would call it the Austin/McMahon Saga as it was called on the VHS/DVD.
