The Great Khali vs. John Cena

It had me excited too. I was wondering if maybe someone was coming back or something. At first I was kinda hoping it was Cena and he was finally going to go heel. Then of course I thought it was Kennedy when he came out. But once I saw Orton, I knew it was Khali mainly because they hadn't had him on TV up to that point and I know they love to push him. I can only pray that Khali and Cena don't have a one on one match at a PPV but it will probably happen sooner or later. I wouldn't be surprised though if Cena, Orton, HBK, and Edge team up and take Khali out.

I think that Khali challenging Cena for the belt is a joke. The bigger joke would be if Khali actually wins. The crowd went crazy for Cena last night but I think that was because they put somebody in the ring that is worse to watch in the ring then Cena is. And I also agree that while I feel Khali winning the belt would be bad, having him win it and then Cena beats him for it will be even worse.

Somebody on here mentioned Edge taking the belt but I don't think that will happen either. They've had Edge as the WWE champ twice and he wasn't exactly the biggest draw as a champ. Randy Orton, with the way things are with him, that's not going to happen. And HBK, he ought to have the belt and why they won't give it to him is beyond me. We all know Cena is nowhere near as good as HBK and yet Cena continues to win over him. Given, HBK is not as young as Cena and is kinda hold to be carrying the schedule that comes with being the champ, but come on. Do they honestly expect us to believe that Cena is a better wrestler than HBK? That's like saying that Khali is a high flyer like Rey Mysterio and Super Crazy.

While Cena is bad in the ring and only has a few moves, Khali is far worse and has.....well, not much of anything except his size. Then again, with Lashley injured and Taker injured and the whole situation with Randy Orton, it's no wonder that the WWE might be in a panic right now and will push anyone. It's probably the only reason they're even talking about Khali in the world title picture.

I still cant see Khali being a main-eventer. I wish he would just get phased-out somehow. I fail to see how Cena v Khali is going to be a draw to anyone, being that Khali sucks and Cena barely gets over with the crowd now anyways. One or two matches on Raw maybe, and get rid of the angle. Either that, or WWE has something up their sleeve that no one sees coming.

God someone kill me now please. Yes, thats just what we need, the worst main event wrestler facing the worst wrestler...ever. Nice move WWE. Brilliant. Why not just bring back Katie Vick while you're at it, and hell how about a storyline where Eddie Guerrero magically comes back to life for one last match against the reincarnation of Jesus Christ!

I'd rather see Cena vs. K-Fed II then watch Khali and Cena stink up the ring. Atleast when Cena faces guys like Michaels HBK can carry his ass, now who's going to do the carrying?

And there I was legitamately excited, expecting maybe a surprise debut of a big star. And instead we get the great fucking Khali.

Dude, Seriously you need help

Edge actually outdrew Cenas title reigns. His ratings were considerably higher then Cena's, checkout the Old School Section Raw Ratings thread. Randy Orton has screwed himself out of any world title scenario, so that's beating a dead horse. And the reason why HBK hasn't won is 2 fold. 1. He's putting John Cena over, as much as we and HBK may not like it, he's a company man and he's giving back. 2. I think he doesn't want the strap. The rumor was he was going to win the Royal Rumble in his hometown, he didn't want to, so Taker won. HBK is in his 40's and banged up. He's been requesting time off for the better part of a year. He wants and deserves a break. A guy that wants time off isn't the guy you want to put a belt on. Outside of these three, who do we have as a champion or main eventer on Raw...Nobody(Khali).

The problem with WWE right now is the Brand Extension. The WWE's roster is aging and is just decimated with injuries right now. You have enough main event talent, but they are spread out over three shows, and it leaves each individual show very weak at the moment. Now you throw in the unexpected injury of the Undertaker, for all intents and purposes, he was supposed to hold onto the title for most of the year, and he's gone. The WWE has to shuffle around a ton of people to get their main events looking good for each show.

This is where a guy like Khali comes in. We all know he's horrible, but he fills a role. And for some strange reason, I can see Khali winning the belt and then losing it at the Great American Bash to Cena inside of the Kennel from Hell, er Punjabi Prison Match. Khali can't take a pinfall yet. Half of his gimmick is being invincible in the ring. It is the WWE however, and I guess they can make Cena go over Umaga and Khali within 6 months, discrediting the rest of the roster, and making Cena look like a god.

As a lot of people have said, I watched the end of Raw last night and was actually quite excited about the attacker. I thought it was a possible cena heel turn or someone debuting. Fucking khali. waste of life. He at least needs a manager if they're serious with this. I heard takers injury was known about at backlash and as i heard rumours that michaels was going to sd anyway (possibly exchanging for kennedy) maybe they did this to speed it up. Edge and orton are feuding and umaga is feuding with lashley, maybe they threw khali in to buy time and make cena look good in the process. Cena will get beat up, then come back, FU khali and look impressive.

And you seriously need to learn how to post. That's what we call spam mate. Spell it out with me S-P-A-M. If you have nothing to contribute to the topic at hand, do us a favor, and don't post in it. All it does is waste space.

Honestly I'm hoping Vince turns this around ASAP. He's done some horrible things in the past and all but I think even Vince knows this is a mistake in his heart. He's stuck in this 80s timeframe and it makes no sense. How did we go from beer drinking on TV, a girl flashing the camera on live TV, curses every ten seconds and storylines involving a Satanic cult to Mr. Overcome the Odds Good Guy Cena and big "unstoppable" monsters? I thought we had past this phase? Maybe evolution doesn't apply to wrestling. The last thing we need is more guys like Khali doing anything near the main event picture. It's like Andre the Giant. Andre, though a legend in his own right for his time, had almost zero wrestling ability. However back then you could get away with it. No one knew better. Nowadays fans won't put up with that shit.

If they honestly have a Khali-Cena match for the title, I may just stop watching RAW altogether. I thought Donald Trump was bad.

Maybe this match, instead of being one on one, will lead to a summer Elimination Chamber, u never know. I just think the WWE is commiting suicide if they push Khali or CONTINUE TO CONSTANTLY push Cena. I think an elimination chamber match, or some sort of 5 or 6 man match with Shawn Michaels victorious (i would say orton, but he wont get any respect any time soon) at Vengeance will be pretty cool. I would rather not see Khali in any main events, but what can we do...

Without a doubt, this is going to be the worst fucking main event in recent memory. WWE has obviously made some really bad decisions before, but this is straight bull. Whoever decides what PPV gets this soon to be god awful match, has saved me $35.

nob0dy wants 2 c this stupid match..but we all no wats goin 2 happen..superman will defeat the great khalin wit a F-U.. to keep the title.. this is all goin 2 a elimination chamber

that's not true, I'm actually looking forward to this match, simply because it will be sooo bad I won't be able to contain my laughter, watching this match will be like watching a bad horror movie, I don't see an elimination chamber coming anytime soon either, I think that at JD, they'll have a 1-on-1 match, that will end in a DQ, then at some point in time Vince will come out and reveal that he is the one behind Khalis path of destruction, this will then set up a match between Cena & Vince, title vs. title, that or they'll have a tag match that will be somthing like Cena, Lashley, HBK,& Edge vs. Vince, Khali, Umaga, & Shane O'Mac

god i want to be shot in the head y would kahli take out hbk edge and orton like that sombody shoot me

I got to admit I was sitting there waiting to hear..."Break down the walls of Jericho". Instead we were treated to the guy on the Green Bean cans. All I have to say is anyone who buys tickets or orders that ppv shouldn't sleep the night before because they will get a real good nap during that match. It's sad, Khali actually has less moves than Hogan...I didn't really know that was possible?

The only way this match could be worse would be if they dig up the grave of Andre the Giant and force him to Wrestle John Cena and Khali in a Triple Threat match for the Title. But Cena and Khali put together have less moves than Hogan. But this was probably put together because Orton fucked up big time. Jazzua you weren't the only one that was hoping to hear Break the walls down. that would have been the biggest coup ever. As to this match I get the feeling that this is a filler feud in some ways, something like the Umaga feud.

What people forget is that Jericho is already part of the long and drawn out John Cena Title Tour that has lasted over 2 years. If you forget Cena beat him at Summerslam in his last feud before he left.

you guys need to give the great khali a break, hes from india and we know he can talk somewhat we seen him on the longest yard so we know if wwe lets him talk he will. i cant wait till next week maybe HBK,edge, orton and Cena all team up 4 vs 1 to take on the great khali. lol whats funny about my idea is i think khali would take all 4 of them out easily at the same time. Good job WWE finally someone to take out cena or atleast give him a challenge.

Who is running this joke of an organization. I mean i can understand that VKM wants Cena to be the new Hogan and in some ways thats alright but for gods sake someone has to kill all of the damn writers in this company and start from scratch again. Every week we see the same old shit over and over again, like really wtf do VKM's kids think of him being the ECW Champion? I mean what do they really think of the current state of ECW? What do they think of Khali/Cena...who wants to watch a giant east indian with no mic skills take on the man who anyone cannot stand. Its almost like VKM is doing this to prove to everyone that he can and noone will stop him. He has all this unbelieveable talent at his disposal and he chooses not to use half of it? Understand that some of the talent chooses to be a nuisance to him ( RVD, RKO, etc.) but do you really wonder why they act like this. If he took his head out of his ass ( or Big Dick Johnson's) he would realize that the one person doing the most damage to the company is him. Remember when wrestling was unpredictable and there were rarely any promos and the wrestling matches actually consisted of wrestling? It almost amazing that TNA hasnt taken advantage of the situation by turning themselves into what wrestling once was. Instead they are following the precedent set by the WWE and they will turn out eventually like them. After WM22, I thought that that was one of the best PPVs in a long time and it seemed like their fortunes were turning. How wrong I was. Its too sad that this new generation of wrestling fans has to be subjected to this garbage and for them, they will be stuck with it until VKM says otherwise.

I just watched Raw, and when Coach approaches Vince, McMahon says something like 'I know who did it and why, it's to do with John Cena'. He didn't blame Cena for it, but he knew who had done it.

Maybe I'm just giving the writers too much credit here, but it sounded to me like perhaps Vince has gotten Khali to take out HBK, Edge, Randy Orton, and then assault Cena, to make it easier for someone else to beat Cena for the title.

But who would that be? Someone who has popped into my head is Rey Mysterio, and that's only because there's been rumours of a Rey Mysterio vs Vince McMahon match at Summerslam, and were Rey to come back in time for Judgement Day, on Raw, and beat Cena, perhaps with Khali and Vince helping. This would of course be a heel turn for Mysterio, and some reason for the two helping each other out, and then a face turn for Mysterio by having McMahon turn on him in time for Summerslam.

Maybe I should be on the writing team, or maybe I'm worse than them, but I definitely get the feeling Khali is working through those in contention for the WWE title to clear the way for someone else. (perhaps even a returning Jericho)

EDIT - In relation to one of the current headlines 'Chris Masters big push?' surely it wouldn't be him? Cena powering out of the Masterlock, meh

If Smackdown wasn't in such a mess right now with 'Taker's injury I would think that Cena/Khali would end with Cena somehow pulling out a win followed by Kennedy cashing in MITB and destroying Cena for the belt, specifically because Kennedy said he WASN'T going to do that.. but since Smackdown is in bad shape, I'm thinking that the reason Khali was shoved into the title picture is to free up the other top guys to send one of the other top guys to smackdown..maybe an edge/orton Loser Leaves Raw match?

Well i disagree with u all! EVERY1 IS ALWAYS BITCHING ABOUT FUCKING [JOHN THE WIGGER NO TALENT CAN'T ACT CAN'T RAP AND MOST OF ALL WRESTLE]CENA!! SUMBODY NEEDS 2 DESTROY HIM AND AT LEAST EVEN IF ITS KHALI WE CAN HAVE A FRESH CHAMP IM SORRY BUT CENA IS BORING THE SHIT OWT OF ME!

I agree that this sucks, but CAN Khali speak english or not? How the hell can you setup a fued when the guy can't do mike work? 90% of a good storyline is the guys talking shit.

ACTUALLY, i know one thing thats makes me sick more than anything: Everybody's bitchin and cryin like girls cause Xena vz Khali and stuff... but let me tell you one thing: What are you gonna do? you are gonna still watching RAW, with the LAME stupid excuse of seeing how bad the Xena vs Khali feud is doing.
FACE IT, like him or not, we will have Cena for a while!!
How do you know Khali is gonna be the next chimp, i mean, champ!? you DONT know!! storylines changes like the fuckin hell!! there you have Undertaker, he was scheduled for a long reign, and what happened? injury, at least 6 months out. And what the WWE does? probably give the strap to CRAPtista, or maybe Kane or who the hell knows.. same shit with Xena: Khali beat the crap out of him, and this could be only a mirror...
somebody said in a couple of posts ago about set the stage for someone else, and people, i dont know, but you are forgetting one name, a man who could possibly be champ one last time before retirement, and again, nobody has mention him. i'll give you a clue: He is EXTREME,(please dont tell Fuckin Bobby Lashley or i'll kick your balls...besides, hes not extreme..)and got not one, not two, not even 3, but FOUR personas (gimmicks) including his "name"...
the true fans maybe ha already guessed...
for the ones who dont... final clue.. he lost a FUCKING EAR in a match.
more easy? i dont think so, and YES, i believe in him, i believe he's gonna beat both Motherf*ckers (John Xena and Khali)...
in the meantime, its gonna be funnny to see Xena beaten like a freaking punching bag.

Let me see if I have this right. It's bad enough that we suffer watching Cena's matches. We see HBK have to actually do the job to Cena so that Khali can be the next one in line. You've got to be kidding me. And to respond to the quote saying that we're going to watch it regardless. Think again. I will just read the results because I find it to be less painful than if I actually watched Raw. And if the PPV has Khali vs Cena in the main event, thanks but no thanks. I have better ways to spend 35 bucks and this is not one of them . At least Cena has in his defense a few moves while Khali is just to slam people down, bash them or kick them in the head. Top that off with looking slower that Big Show in a slow motion replay and looking sloppy as hell with the moves. Chalk this up as another one in the growing pile of the WWE's recent mistakes and one of the top ones being Vince's pet on a leash ( and for all we know a choke collar too ) that is John Cena.

I believe if they make great Khali Champion they might as well give MVP the World heavyweight and just close down the wwe co.

Gee... a WWE champion who is unstoppable going up against a giant who can't wrestle to save his life. Where have I seen this? Oh that's right, only the most dramatic storyline in WWE history. It might not produce the wrestling matches we all love to see, but it's a logical step in building a champion up. Cena will lose the title to someone sooner or later but for now if they want to build him further this is a great way to do it. I won't buy ppv's cuz of it, but I will certainly watch raw every week to see where it goes.

True. Cena has to lose the belt some time. We been saying that. But does he have to lose it to somebody that is even crappier and more painful to watch in the ring in order to do it? I think not. Logic would be the WWE finding somebody better for him to lose it to.
