Pre-Show Stalwart
I'm guessing as this is a Wrestling Site a lot of you have the great failure of a game which was Smackdown vs Raw 2011. Well, on that terribly constructed game the mode WWE Universe allowed you to create your own WWE world apparently. A feature was who were the top 5 contenders for each title. So I thought after coming off of what was suppose to be WWE's most prestigious PPV of the year it would be a fresh idea to look into who might be the future. Here's who I have listed and please share yours if you will. Of course I list superstars by what title they must be going for so Miz could only rank in the tag team division as he's part of AwesomeTruth.
WWE Championship
Current Champion: John Cena
Top 5 Challengers:
1. Alberto Del Rio - Obviously will use his rematch clause
2. Dolph Ziggler - As of right now he's the hot prospect for me, could drop the US Title on Raw and move on to main event
3. CM Punk - Tied down to this whole HHH feud so could only go after the title if HHH was to have involvement.
4. Christian - Obviously won't be getting a World Heavyweight Title shot anytime soon but now Raw is assigned with Smackdown guys he could be in line.
5. Triple H - This could only work if HHH was to have a huge heel turn and use his C.O.O Powers to gain number one contendership.
World Heavyweight Championship
Current Champion: Mark Henry
Top 5 Challengers:
1. Randy Orton - Obvious re-match on the cards here but wouldn't be surprised if it takes place on SmackDown.
2. Sheamus - The 2nd top face on Friday Nights has really developed into a face and is looking good.
3. Kane - Its simple all he needs to do is return with " Vengeance " and a match is set up between him and Henry at the PPV of the same name.
4. Wade Barrett - The British Bear knuckle fighter is doing a tremendous job although not so much gaining heat. Looks like a real future gun.
5. Daniel Bryan - Mr. Mitb I think we all know why he's listed as he could cash in at any stage.
United States Championship
Current Champion: Dolph Ziggler
1. Jack Swagger - A fued between these two looks to be on the agenda with a possible Swagger face turn. I would have preferred him riding Ziggler's coattails but hey, What you gonna do?
2. Alex Riley - If Ziggler and Swagger somehow make amends well then this guy is in line. Its incredible to think this time last year he was on NXT beating the likes of Kaval.
3. John Morrison - Loved by many, disliked by shall I say a Silent Majority? Morrison has the in-ring ability for sure but mic skills fall apart.
4. Drew McIntyre - Apart from Superstars, McIntyre is never featured on Raw. The Chosen One has apparently become the UnChosen One and is main eventing Superstars. US Challenge good way of becoming relevant again.
5. JTG - Who else is there? I mean Raw's midcard now that I come to think of it is really small due to the draft. Could soon be exploited.
Intercontinental Championship
Current Champion: Cody Rhodes
Top 5 Challengers:
1. Ted DiBiase - You would have to be stupid to think that this is over with. In fact the outcome of their NOC bout basically told us ' This will be continuing ' Dislike this build though.
2. Zack Ryder - I don't even know if he's a Raw or SD guy so I went for the show he appears on mostly. Ryder who has as we all know become an Internet Phenomenon looks a star.
3. Sin Cara - I highly doubt it but the heel Sin Cara is getting tons of victories. But now that face Sin Cara is back we will see which one goes forward.
4. Ezekial Jackson - Harsh but, Stale and a fail. All I have to say about Zeke as a face.
5. Jinder Mahal - Another failure. Was being built as the next Indian Alberto Del Rio turned out to be a Muhammad Hassan wannabee.
Tag Team Championships
Current Champions: AirBoom (Kingston and Bourne)
Top 5 Challengers:
1. AwesomeTruth - This is pretty obvious. They were kayfabe cost their match which was really overdone for me. Took frustrations out on Punk and HHH probably be suspended come back and attack AirBoom and its all ready to go.
2. The Uso's - Its hard to think of where else to go to but these are 2nd in line. The two brothers are very good in the ring but their entrance is so cheesy and annoying.
3. Tyler Reks and Curt Hawkins - Decided to watch them on Superstars and they really bonded as a team. I could tell they'd been working together and look like a nice pair.
4. Hennig and Otunga - This team is practically done and I see Hennig going on to bigger things and Otunga dropping to Superstars.
5. The Kings of Wrestling - Damn I was hoping they'd jump FCW. But no apparently Mr Claudio Castagnoli from ROH has had to go through development and his partner Chris Hero hasn't signed yet.
Divas Championship
Current Champion: Kelly Kelly
Top 5 Challengers:
1. Beth Pheonix - I'm sick of this. When the hell will they just give Beth the title? This is becoming plain annoying and dragging on for no reason like the Lawler/Cole fued.
2. Natalya - Who says she all along hasn't been waiting to pounce? Her as a face feuding with Beth as a heel until Kharma comes and destroys is watchable I guess.
3. Eve - I have always had this feeling that after every Kelly win, Eve is going to turn on Kelly. Never happens, one day maybe and hopefully.
4. Bella Twins - They come as two and are very annoying. Vain and just bitchy who wants to be a WWE diva?
5. Layla - I can't wait for this girl to return. She's amazingly hot, has great ability and is extremely likeable.
