Aeon Mathix
Has Ascended
I will probably change the title at some point, couldn't really think of a better one, but this thread is designed for people on this site who are in a wrestling promotion with big dreams of becoming a pro wrestler in the big leagues, or have been in the past. I thought it would be a nice discussion and great place to get tips and talk about the business from a personal aspect of actually having stepped food inside the square'd circle.
I currently am signed to Vanguard Championship Wrestling based out of Newport News, Virginia. We have Rowdy Roddy Piper coming to our show on December 3rd to do a Piper's pit segment with our tag team champions. We also had a Ricky The Dragon Steamboat seminar earlier this year and Paul London is our current Television Champion. Our companies' slogan is "We don't just book legends, we make them".
My ring name is Aeon Mathix, and I came up with the name from the show Aeon Fluxx. I never really watched it, but my real name is Matthew and I took the Fluxx and just added "Math" to it for my name. I haven't won any titles or anything, in fact the only real thing i've done is a 20 second elimination from one of our battle royals lol. Everyone starts somewhere though!
My dream is to become the WWE Intercontinental champion after watching Ricky Steamboat vs Randy Savage at Wrestlemania 3. Most people usually just shoot straight for I want to be the WWE champion or the heavyweight champion of a top promotion, and that would be great if it happened to me, but the Intercontinental title is my first priority.
With all that being said here are the questions I would like you all to consider when discussing:
Are you currently in a pro wrestling promotion or training to be in one? If so how long have you been in it? What are your goals in this industry? Any personal experiences for avid young rookie pro wrestlers?
