Last week on an un-televised part of Raw due to technical difficulties, MVP came out and said that he was the alpha male of Raw, and he offered up an open challenge to anybody in the locker room. Rikishi came out, and they had a match, which Marcus Cor Von interfered and attacked both men, but mainly focused his attacks on MVP; hitting him with a chair. Cor Von is expected to come out on this week's Raw to explain his actions from last week.

Smackdown Preview

This week on Friday Night Smackdown, we will hear the new World Heavyweight Champion, John Morrison speak, after winning the title in a steel cage match against Kane last week on Smackdown. Will Morrison accept Lance's Storm's challenge that Storm layed out to the winner of the match next week? What are Morrison's plans for the title? Find out this week on Friday Night Smackdown.

Also, after suffering defeat in a cage match last week, Kane has moved on, and will face one of the two men who attacked his brother after his match with Mark Henry last week, Big Daddy V. Will The Undertaker show up? Will Mark Henry say anything about that brutal attack last week?

Joe Hennig picked up the win for his team in the 6 man tag team match last week, and he will face Tam Swagger's own Zack Ryder. Will the confidence of Hennig carry onto this match? Will either JBL, or Team Swagger get involved?

After last week, there is some major heat between HHH and Chris Jericho, and this week, Jericho has promised to call out HHH. There has always been bad blood between these two, but it has been a while since they locked it up one on one in the ring. Will they clash heads again? Will they align, despite the obvious heat between the two?

In the main event, it will be one of the number one contenders for the unified tag team titles, Rey Mysterio and Chavo Guerrero taking on a randomly put together team of Sheamus and Mark Henry. Sheamus is coming off two straight loses, and Henry had 3 matches last week, while Rey and Chavo look like they are cruising to tag team title gold at Backlash. Will the experience and momentum of Rey and Chavo put them through in this match? Will the dominating power of both Mark Henry and Sheamus be enough to take down Rey and Chavo? Find out on Smackdown.

Raw Preview

The Go Home Show

Backlash is right across the corner, as the Raw superstars head into Seattle for the Raw that leads into Backlash.

We will have Backlash opponents facing off against other Backlash opponents, as Randy Orton takes on MVP, and John Cena will take on Marcus Cor Von. Cor Von vs. MVP was just announced last week, and there is some major tension between the two, in which Cor Von caused MVP a very important match 2 weeks ago vs. Rikishi. The tension between Cena and Orton is huge as we know, as Orton has promised time and time again that he would punt John Cena in the skull. Backstage reports tell that Orton will not attempt to punt Cena until Backlash, and he wants to make sure that Cena is fresh for Backlash.

One of the two men going for the WWE Title will be off, and the other one will be in a tag match. CM Punk requested for another break, as his opponent, Goldberg, will team with Intercontinental Champion Justin Gabriel to take on one of the 6 men competing for the tag title at Backlash, Big Show, and the number 1 contender for the Intercontinental Title, Tyler Reks.

We heard from Sandman on Raw last week, and Wade Barrett on Smackdown last week as well, and we'll see the high-flying hardcore specialist Sabu take on Snitsky in what seems like a huge mountain to climb on his to the fatal 4 way Hardcore Title match at Backlash.

Another one of the 6 men competing for the tag titles, Edge will take on Sin Cara this week, as Sin Cara looks to prove that he belongs on the Backlash card more than anyone else.

Also confirmed is Alberto Del Rio commenting on his status at Backlash.

Tune in for Raw, coming soon. Also, don't forget to check out last week's shows if you're not caught up.

Confirmed:
Alberto Del Rio talks about Backlash
Sabu vs. Snitsky
Justin Gabriel and Goldberg vs. Big Show and Tyler Reks
Edge vs. Sin Cara
CM Punk speaks on Goldberg and the WWE Title
John Cena vs. Marcus Cor Von
Randy Orton vs. MVP

Smackdown Preview

We're on the heels of Backlash, and even though there are only 4 wrestlers representing the brand on the pay-per-view, Smackdown is still ready for it. Sheamus is expected to open the show, with a promo on his situation on the brand, following his very impressive performance last week.

Rey Mysterio heads into Backlash with a chance of winning another tag team title belt, but this time with Chavo Guerrero. Teddy Long didn't put him up to an easy task though, as the 160+ pound Mysterio takes on the 450+ pound Big Daddy V. With Matt Striker getting kidnapped last week though, the mental state Daddy has been in since last week is very questionable.

Also expected is the red hot Joe Hennig to take on Booker T. After Hennig defeated Team Swagger's own Zack Ryder, JBL attacked Ryder's teammates, Booker T and R-Truth during the match, which distracted Ryder, which really helped Hennig pick up a victory. JBL and Team Swagger are expected to be ringside to support their respective wrestlers.

After HHH embarrassed Chris Jericho last week, to points where we don't even want to say it,Jericho invited HHH to the highlight reel this week. We do have reports from outside sources that Jericho has something big planned for this highlight reel, and he will make sure that HHH won't embarrass him this time.

The 4th man in the hardcore title match at Backlash who has yet to make a huge impact yet is Tommy Dreamer. One of Dreamer's opponents, Wade Barrett will be taking on Santino Marella, but back to Dreamer, he will address his match at Backlash to all of the fans out in Sacramento.

Confirmed

Sheamus to open the show

Joe Hennig w/JBL vs. Booker T w/Zack Ryder and R-Truth

Big Daddy V w/Mark Henry vs. Rey Mysterio w/Chavo Guerrero

Wade Barrett vs. Santino Marella

More Special Event Changes: Every Saturday Night's Main Event will be one week after the pay per view that it follows.
