The Best Pro Wrestling Columnist (In my opinion)

I've been reading his columns ever since he joined Bill Simmons Grantland.com, this guy is very good at analyzing what's going on in pro wrestling. He's not smarky, his columns don't patronize the readers it's straight forward. He doesn't take sides and blames one section for the bad and only gives one side credit for the good it's pretty even. If you haven't guessed by now who I'm talking about it's The Masked Man.

His writing is very good it's like he captures both sides of the argument, and being on a publication like Grantland with a direct link from ESPN he can do something no other columnist can do. Capture the attention of both the casual and smart wrestling fans.

here's his latest work:http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/8292682/the-ongoing-drama-cm-punk-john-cena-wwe-summerslam

What are your opinions on The Masked Man and if you read it his latest column.

I haven't read the article in question, probably will though. In general I think the entire staff at Grantland that are into it do a pretty solid job of covering wrestling. As you said they usually don't try to act like smarks and even when writing opinion pieces they come off as fair to both sides.

One of my favorite articles was the top 20 entrance songs. I think it did a good job at showing what made a song successful and looking at how some guys got over because of their song.

I frequent Grantland regularly and always read any wrestling article they release or podcast with a wrestling name. Masked man is really good, I frequently learna great deal from him and he occassionally makes really great points. My only complaint is that his articles start hot and then wear out toward the end like he is just trying to reach a word quota or he just doesn't know how to end an article. I am guilty of this as well in my writing.
