Bangs is a Sudanese-Australian rapper famous for his song "Take U To Da Movies", which has received over three million views on YouTube. He has also appeared in an advertisement for the Honda Jazz.[1]
He was born circa 1990 in North Khartoum, Sudan. He moved to Egypt at the age of 11 and then moved again two years later to Australia. He currently lives in Melbourne. He is also known for his most famous of lines "Baby Gihrl" which has inspired at least 10 people. Bangs' album Hard To Be Up, available for free download online, has received worldwide critical acclaim. He is also noted for his inspirational and unique sartorial choices, which often include the use of knockoff sunglasses and Air Jordan headbands. Despite making a legitimate impact on both the fashion and lyrical communities, Bangs' notoriety is primarily derived from his idiosyncratic accent, which is not characteristic of any particular nation or dialect. With another album in the works, Bangs looks to continue to take Afro-Australian hip-hop to new heights.
