The aftermath of the faction known as legacy?

Well as we see it on paper it's a Triple threat match at Wrestlemania 26 between the legacy, Orton, Dibiase, and Rhodes. So that means by this Monday on RAW we should see a one-on-one match between Ted & Cody where Randy interferes. It looks likely to happen! Or RAW can do a final showcase for the "go home show" on Monday where legacy will be involved somehow?

But since this will be a triple threat match where there are two heels (Dibiase & Rhodes), and the face (Orton). Does that really mean that after there triple threat match at WM, that legacy has to split and go there diffrent ways? Since there is no tension between Ted & Cody have them keep the legacy name still going after there founder & leader/mentor Randy Orton is kicked out.

This kind of reminds me of back in 1997 when Ahmed Johnson joined his rivals in the form of the nation of domination...2.0 (The Godfather aka Kama returns, and D'Lo Brown got more ring & TV time). Not that very long after Ahmed's heel turn the nation attacks Ahmed in the middle of the ring kicking him out the faction. Then not to long after that, Faarooq (Ron Simmons) brought Rocky Maivia (The Rock) into the nation therefore replaceing Ahmed Johnson in the group. That was a big mistake by Faarooq for the future where the same thing happened to him a year later the night after WM 14 on RAW, and the Rock was the new leader of the nation.

So what if Ted & Cody recruited some other next-generation wrestlers (divas too) into legacy and test them the same way that Orton did them and others who didn't make it into legacy (Sim Snuka & Manu). They could bring in Carlito or Primo, Natalya & DH Smith (if the hart dynasty thing doesn't work out after all?), and yes even Slam Master J Jesse. But Jesse doesn't make the cut list like Snuka & Manu did. And there every title is up for grabs until two guys go after the same title. Then the faction will break up. THat's what I feel should happen. How about you? They could be the Rock's version of "Team just bring it"? Get it?

Legacy had a lot of potential to be a great faction/tag team, but ended up becoming nothing more than Randy Orton's stooges.

The WWE has a lot of second- and third-generation talent on both the main rosters and in developmental that they could've used for Legacy. They could've given Slam Master J (under his real name of Terry Gordy Jr.) a fresh start, while bring up Joe Hennig. Lacey Von Erich was briefly signed to the WWE. If she had the right attitude and effort to improve in the ring at the time and stick with WWE, I could've seen her join the group eventually, even if it was just as a valet.

But I think if there is any sign of Legacy continuing, it will be through Rhodes. Orton is obviously making a face turn while DiBiase is more likely to go into the singles division. Rhodes doesn't seem like he would last long on his own at this point if Legacy does spilt apart.

I am not sure where this is going. With the WWE having KILLED it's tag division, Ted and Cody never really had a chance to dominate the tag division. So, in a sense, they did act as Randy's pets. They were always working toward his goals, and never really got as over as they should have. It was great for Randy, but didn't work out as well as I would have liked for the Ted and Cody.

I think Randy will go off on his own. He is getting a major reaction from the crowd. He's becoming a tweener, and doing a good job of it. He knows how to get heat, but he also knows how to accept fan favor. But for some reason, I have a bad feeling that the WWE is going to try and make Orton a "true" face. I think they are basically going to ignore the quality this guy brings to the ring, and try and turn him into a t-shirt selling machine. A PG-era tweener is not a Steve Austin-type tweener. The WWE is marketing to children, but I hope they leave this guy alone. Come on WWE! Give me one bad-ass guy to root for, just ONE!

Ted and Cody will hopefully stay together. I don't see either one as over enough yet to go on their own. I wouldn't mind adding some more guys to this group, as long as they fit in well. I think they are going to have a tough time keeping Ted and Cody in the main picture on Raw. There is so much congestion in the mid card, it's going to be tough. They just have too many wrestlers for every one of them to get sufficient pushes.
