Tajiri's Return in WWE

Shadow of Darkness

Occasional Pre-Show
Hell yah!

i got this information from an interview of TAJIRI, where he indicated about his return in WWE. Some sources indicate that HHH after becoming the head of WWE's signing team, talked with TAJIRI for his return. WWE is also interested in signing tajiri's student KUSHIDA in a developmental deal, where he would join FCW for a 2 year deal and then on to WWE.

I know plenty of u will say that japanese wrestlers are not treated well by WWE, bt thats not the case with TAJIRI.

think TAJIRI was used very well by WWE. He was 8 time champion in his 3 year reign. He was 3 time WWE and 2 time WCW Lightweight champion in WWE. He was 1 time US Champion and 2 time Tag Team champion. He was offered a serious
gimmick of Yakuza (japanese gangstar) bt he refused to do. Then HEYMAN created the Japanese Buzzaw gimmick. He was even very serious with that.

so what do u think about the return of the BUZZAW.

I always liked Tajiri but I’m not counting on him doing much if he does come back. I’m sure he’ll get respectable tv time and come out on the losing end in matches against guys like Daniel Bryan and Sin Cara. If you can be accepting of that then I think you’ll be satisfied with a Tajiri return. If you’re expecting title wins and monthly ppv matches I think you’ll be in for a disappointment. Good matches on the Smackdown undercard and an occasional ppv filler will be fine with me.

I think its great that they're resigning Tajiri. They should put him in a tag team with Sin Cara or Daniel Bryan since its unlikely that he'll be winning an independent title in this stage of his career. But I think he can do no harm on the roster and could add to the currently suffering midcard division.

Ok everyone's kind of saying its good to have Tajiri back but in the long run Tajiri is most likely going to be stuck facing cruiserweight and not going to do much in WWE, Not to mention hes in his late 30s, getting past his prime. Not good for WWE's Youth Movement.

i would love to see him in the WWE again, his green mist thing was pretty sweet as a heel and he could go up against someone like sin cara or daniel bryan very nicely i might add

I always enjoyed Tajiri's work in the WWE during his tenure. His finisher was awesome, and when Rey Mysterio blew mist at Rhodes a few motnhs ago, I marked out. Yes, he should come back and maybe for a tag team with Yoshi and make him more relevant. An asian feud between Japan and India (Khali and Mahal) would be interesting and draw a lot of money for the E.ç
EDIT. Do you have a source for your info?

I like this idea of bringing him back he is gonna kind fill the role Chavo had before he left as the jobber to the cruiserweights but its Tajiri and they better do something with him returning with Regal around because those two are funny together.

I loved Tajiri. Sure he is no main eventer, but I enjoyed his style / moveset. Unfortunately there is no importance on the midcard titles so it may not mean much tv time.

Tajiri's an interesting character, I liked his Buzzaw kick and green mist, but he's just another mid-carder getting in line. Right now, in WWE, there's a litany of young guys vying for even shot to appear on Raw. I support this, however, because I personally found him entertaining. Just know he will not be seriously successful.

Winning or losing Tajiri was interesting...even his promos in japanese were fun and since this is aimed at the younger audience I think he will be well over. I'd mark out if he came back because he is a solid worker.

Tajiri could be great in a similar role to what Golddust or William Regal have been doing in recent years:a veteran who knows what he is doing in the ring, can help bring up new guys and get them over, and still get a decent crowd reaction. He brings a name and a fan base, and at this stage in his career it doesn't really hurt him to lose some matches and make young guys look good. Or, throw him in a team with Yoshi Tatsu if you want to get serious about the tag division. Either way, he could be used well I think.

he is in his 40's you know that right? most likely wont get the title if he returns (like WWE/WHC), of course, im sure he would be a great addition to the wwe of course.

Also WWE don't exactly need Tajiri, (though he could have a backstage role and even manage Yoshi Tatsu) Alot of the things he does isn't special anymore, There's alot of new Japanese guys such as KENTA and CIMA who have already surpassed Tajiri. WWE should scout for those guys.

I think he'd be absolutely exceptional in this position. An ideal replacement to fill the void left behind when they fired Finlay. As a manager or Tag partner for Yoshi Tatsu also, while very predictable, wouldn't hurt as it would push a guy who isn't over despite having a little talent. When I saw him live in Manchester last year, Tatsu was very popular with the kids and he was entertaining to watch. He just needs some guidance.

Good for him. In all honesty though, who is going to give a fuck really? He hasn't been an established star in a long time with the WWE, and his competition now is a little bit stiffer than the last time he was in the company. Tajiri is going to be 41 this year and I don't believe he would really want to work the schedule for too much longer. Good wrestler, but at the end of the day with all the new established stars and his age playing a factor would he really fit in right now or ever again for that matter?

Hey, Guys u dont notice the fact of the arrival of KUSHIDA.

i saw his videos on youtube. And they were just excellent. He has a unique set of moves. He is good in mic and facial expression too.

somewhere i think TAJIRI is coming to WWE for making a way for his student KUSHIDA.
find out guys. He is realy good.

Where's the source?

This sounds great. Too bad WWE is so saturated right now. And to be honest, in this day and age in WWE, if you don't get full and direct support from the big names, you won't go that far.

Tajiri is awesome! I loved his punches, kicks, green mist. Also very innovative submission hold the tarantula. He actually had a character, and was a great heel. Always good to have a guy like tajiri with all his experience around in WWE.

Good news. But as previously said, don't expect too much from him. If he returns, the most I see is a midcard title feud (which he probably won't win), an NXT mentor role, maybe a tag title reign with someone. It'd be cool to see, but he would be another Goldust/Regal-type character, only maybe with a bit more focus.

Personally, always loved him. Can't wait to see if he does return.

Does anyone know why he left in the first place? Like the backstory..did he get screwed or quit? Just curious

As to the discussion I'd be happy to see him back. He was a great midcarder. Extremely entertaining, but I think with the hundreds of midcards the WWE currently has he might not get much time.

From what recall he just declined to sign a new deal when his contract expired. He went back to AJPW after that so I think he just wanted to go back to japan and try his luck there.

WWE has a lot of young mid carders who aren't very over a the moment. Bringing back an established talent like Tajiri can only help these guys as he can put them over and help elevate them.

I loved Tajiri and will be excited to see him come back. He was always entertaining and could put on a good match. Also excited to see his student hopefully he has some potential.

I always liked Tajiris work with william Regal thought it was very funny - give Regal a on screen non wrestling job

Doesn't Tajiri not own his own professional wrestling promotion in Japan? He does. It'd be interesting to see how he'd plan to tie that in so that he can go back to America and wrestle again when he's one of the biggest names in his own promotion in Japan.

Tajiri when used right was always cool. When they had him acting serious I liked him and enjoyed his work, when they had him breaking that to do jokes and shit I always thought it was such a waste. Jericho has commented before that he always thought Tajiri was the reincarnation of The Great Muta in the sense of in-ring presence.

I'd like to see Tajiri get brought back but only if they used him correctly this time and didn't turn him into a joke character. Enjoyed his US Championship reign and a couple of his Cruiserweight Championship reigns also.

The same was true for Ultimo Dragon, but he signed with the WWE in hopes that the WWE would also become interested in his students. I think Tajiri could actually be a major part of the upper mid card this time around so I'm all for another run.
