Tag Team/singles?

Occasional Pre-Show
Alright lets imagine that you are the biggest wrestling fan in the world and you will die if you can't wrestle for Vince Mcmahon. So you go to FCW and become the top star win the FCW title and two months later you are called up to the main roster. But thier is a twist. You get to choose what brand you want to be on and wheather it a tag team or singles:

Single: You would make about $23,000 a week for two years. The twist comes here. It could take almost 5 years until you can you win a world title.

Tag Team: You would get a partner and you would make $30,000 a week for two years. Here is the twist when the team breaks up after the two years only 1 of you can become the world champion at the coming up wrestlemania mainevent.

So you have to choose would you rather play it save and take forever to win the title at some "B" pay per view, or would you take the chance and try to make it to the "Grandaddy" of them all with the world title on the line?

For Vince? Singles. Anywhere else? Tag-team. Being part of a tag-team for WWE is just too risky - Vince has a thing for breaking up tag-teams, choosing which partner he prefers, and firing the other (see Cade/Murdoch, Spirit Squad, World's Greatest Tag Team [fired Charlie Haas although he later returned], the Rockers, etc). It's sad too because you most of the time you end up with whomever was billed as the leader staying and in some situations firing the better wrestlers - which I would say they did when they kept Kenny Dykstra from the Spirit Squad then quietly fired Johnny Jeter.

Also it depends on your gimmick - if you're a face then going to wrestlemania would be a great opportunity since they like to have face's, the crowd pleasers, to win on the grandest stage of them all, not always of course - but they do tend to. If you're a heel you'd probably be better off as a solo act winning at a "B" PPV and possibly retaining the title at Wrestlemania - although you still may likely lose it.
