The audience has filled the arena ready for Ascension which will be airing later. Cat Connors and Jack Cohen are not present at the announce table at this time, Selena Anderson is standing in the ring.
Anderson: Ladies & Gentlemen, the following is a special Battle Royal for the #1 contendership of the WZCW Tag Team Championships. Introducing at this time the participants.
Megaman II Willy Stage 1 plays and in response the crowd boos. Baez makes his way to the ring.
Anderson: Introducing first, BAEZ!
Ride of the Valkyries takes over and the crowd utters a pop as Stan Rogers enters the arena, focused on the task at hand.
Anderson: Coming down the aisle, STAN ROGERS!
While Rogers crowd reaction was good, it is dwarfed by our next participant as the Super Smash Bros Brawl Theme blares into the arena.
Anderson: Next, this is...TITUS!
As Titus walks down the stager high fiving various fans, Breaking Benjamins Firefly enters the arena to a chorus of boos. Sam Masters enters the arena, a smirk on his face.
Anderson: At this time, please welcome SAM MASTERS!
Levitate by Hollywood Undead plays, signalling the arrival of Ricky Runn!
Anderson: Next to enter is, RICKY RUNN!
Ricky has a smile on his face as he applies his face-paint, before sprinting to the ring, high fiving a variety of fans. However the cheer is soon turned to jeer as All That Remains plays.
Anderson: Ladies and Gentlemen, presenting, EWAN KAMPA!
Kampa walks with a cocky grin on his face, pointing to the fans and then to himself, signalling that hes better than them, then Unholy Confessions echoes around the arena as the booing continues.
Anderson: Our penultimate participant is, JACKSON WILLIAMS!
Williams argues with multiple fans as he is booed tremendously, but not before the hatred increases ten-fold for Salivas Ladies & Gentlemen.
Anderson: And finally, please welcome, SHOWTIME DAVID COUGAR!
Cougar enters the arena with a slight chuckle as the fans boo him to no end. He takes his time to get to the ring as the other participants wait following the long, drawn out entrances. Finally Cougar enters the ring and the referees signal for the bell to begin the battle royal. As soon as the bell sounds, Cougar slides underneath the bottom rope, and grabs himself a chair, which he unfolds and sits down on in front of where the announce booth would be. The other participants have however begun to pair off with Titus and Baez, budding rivals, battling it out in one corner, Ricky Runn and Sam Masters battling on the ropes, and Ewan Kampa & Jackson Williams double teaming the strongman Stan Rogers. The pair of Kampa and Williams back the powerful Rogers into a corner and look at each other, nodding as they stomp mercilessly away at the big man. Rogers attempts to cover as best he can, but hes brought down to the mat by the relentless assault of Kampa and Williams. The duo smile and pose for the crowd, with Williams particularly getting in the face of the crowd, arguing with them, however this mistake allows his supposed partner Kampa to get an advantage and throw him out and over the top rope! Williams is stunned by this turn of events as Kampa declares his intellect is greater than Williams.
Meanwhile over in the other corner, two of the more experienced participants are battling it out as Titus and Baez exchange brief periods of dominance, using basic kicks and punches to try and weaken their opponent. Titus however manages to duck one of Baezs wild swings and delivers a stiff Kesagiri chop to the back of Baezs head. He then grabs the back of Baezs head and drops him with a reverse DDT. The veteran lifts Baez off of the mat, and attempts to throw him over the top, however Baez manages to hold onto the ropes, avoiding elimination. Cougar watches on closely. Elsewhere, the more experienced Masters is in control of the rookie Ricky Runn. He delivers several vicious uppercuts as Ricky attempts to stay on his feet using the ropes. Masters nails a picture perfect dropkick to send Ricky over the top, but the youngster holds on and rolls back into the ring quickly. Masters is very displeased and continues to clobber Runn with shots to the back. He goes for another as Ricky manages to counter with an arm drag...and two. Make it three as Maters is stunned as Ricky nails ma dropkick of his own. Master is surprised by the determination of young Ricky. Masters gets to his feet, but is met with a spine buster! Ricky is in full control of Masters!
Back with Rogers and Kampa, and the sinister native of Minnesota delivers a wonderful DDT to the kneeling Rogers. Kampa is unsure of what to do next though as hes grounded the big man and now has to lift 260 pounds of dead weight. He grabs the strongman with a facelock, attempting to lift him. He gets him to his feet just barely before Rogers manages to spring into life. He manges to power out of the facelock, going behind and delivering a belly to back suplex. Kampa is lifted off his feet once more, this time for a big bodyslam. Kampa hits the mat hard, clutching his back in pain. Rogers shakes his fist with anticipation as Kampa makes it to his feet. Rogers has him on his shoulders and executes the airplane spin. After a good ten seconds or so spinning, both men are dizzy. Kampa struggles to the ropes to regain his composure as Rogers attempts to regain balance in the ring. Just then, Ricky Runn throws Masters into Rogers, bringing the big man back to his senses. Masters pleads his case with the old school wrestler. Rogers has none of it though, picking the 212 pounder up and tossing him out with a Gorilla press drop! Kampa attempts to sneak an elimination on Rogers, but the large strongman has none of it and reverses Kampa out and over! Cougar stands up and applauds the manoeuvre.
Titus is continuing to attempt to eliminate Baez, only to continue to fail miserably. Baez is to close to the ropes to get thrown over the top as he clutches the ropes for dear life. Titus finally decides hes had enough and unleashes a flurry of kicks to Baez, who finally relinquishes the ropes. Titus believes the moment is now as he bounces off of the ropes and looks to execute a big clothesline. However, Baez manages to come to his senses quickly and drops not only himself to the mat, but also the rope, allowing Titus to tumble over the top and hit the hard on the floor bellow. Ricky Runn quickly notes the fallen Baez and attempts to go after him. However, before doing so, he is turned around by Stan Rogers. Rogers clatters Ricky with a clothesline and goes to pick Ricky up, but falls victim to the RickyRana! Rogers is startled and stumbles about as Ricky attempts to go for a springboard moonsault, only for Showtime to pull Ricky out and over for his elimination! Meanwhile, a referee is checking Titus to see if he may have a head injury of some sort. Baez, pleased with his work cackles manically at his fallen foe. However, his own pleasure allows a sufficient enough distraction for Stan Rogers to lift Baez up and over the top for the elimination and the win for himself and Cougar! The former Kingdom Come main eventer finally gets back into the ring and celebrates in an over the top fashion. Its as if hes won Lethal Lottery all over again. Rogers is stunned that hes managed to secure the win, a contract and of course, the tag team championship match. Elsewhere, Baez is livid with the decision and cant believe he let himself get caught like that, blaming Titus for the result.
Anderson: Your winners of the match and NEW #1 contenders for the WZCW Tag Team Championships; Stan Rogers and Showtime David Cougar!
Showtime and Rogers start celebrating individually before noticing each other, Rogers offers a hand to Showtime who at first is reluctant to take it but evenly shakes and raises his hand in victory.
