Superstars Stable

Getting Noticed By Management
I was just wondering peoples thoughts on this, you have the usual jobbers that come in off superstars for crush matches to prmote new talent eg Brodus Clay. Some of which are talented have huge potential yet just can't seem to make tv people like Riley, Tyson Kidd etc etc

What if WWE put forward a storyline where the jobbers, sick of being crushed and humiliated on the main shows banded together, interfering in each others matches and essentially becoming a force. They could be led by Mcintyre or Riley and it would be a great opportunity for some of the lesser lights to be givena chance to shine on tv before they are discarded aside and future endeavoured.

They wouldn't necessarily have to go for a world title, instead targeting the midcard with Riley backed by his colleagues potentially offering a good fued for Ryder.

I'm aware this would be slightly similar to the Nexus angle yet it would be interesting and unusal to see the jobbers in a poisition of power.

The superstars I would probably incorporate would be Riley/Mcintyre as leader, Zeke as enforcer, Kidd and Slater as a tag team and finally with Matt Striker assuming an advisory role. Yet others incl Barretta,Hawkins and Mcgillicuty could also be included.

Im aware the whole stable thing is done to death on here and I'm aware that this would never actually happen but twas just to see if anybody else thinks it could be interesting?

I wouldn't mind the idea. Id build not up as these guys being on raw and smack down and being put in situations like McIntyre is currently. Have them display their frustrations and eventually have them work together to overcome the "odds".

Id have Drew lead it as i think he has the most potential out of the jobbers. And this group would likely be heel and since he's a good heel he should be a leader. Riley and him could work together as a team at first then bring in others as they get frustrated.

i actually like it but i think drew is about 2 be pushed so i wouldnt have him as leader and slater i think will be pushed soon (and he should) id actually have to go with hawkins/riley/kidd or jtg as leader cause theyre the ones being held back the most and i like barretta and tatsu as a team but make them look more legit as a team and have reks be the enforcer and keep striker as the advisor

I think it is a great idea.

Guys like the Mid-Card Mafia (Reks, Hawkins, Kidd, and D.Mac) could add a few other jobbers and add a lot of interest to the product. Nexus was great. But, this could be a lot different.

The way Clay has been running trough people could set this up.

Great idea!!! I was thinking Nexus the whole time, and then you pointed out the Nexus correlation, but I sometimes think that they ripped Nexus apart way too early. True, it seemed to get Barrett and Daniel Bryan over, but I thought it could have been a good stable for longer. It was also stupid that they tried to have that Corre or whatever it was called and Barrett almost got really lost in the shuffle.

And this may be a bit off topic, but can someone possibly explain to me this Brodus Clay thing. I find it increasingly creepy every week, and does anyone else see the subtle beautiful people rip off with the dancers' entrance??

Sorta reminds me of the J.O.B. squad. Not a horrible idea. I don't like when there are multiple stables but having one or two can be interesting and I think having one like this could help get the guys some exposure.

Don't make them the anti WWE thing like the Nexus was but a band of friends who have each others back, essentially making sure they don't get screwed over and pushed aside and squashed all the time

It's actually a great idea and really highlights the problems with WWE Creative

They used to be good at creating opportunities for mid-carders to get over. Think back to the 90s with the JOB Squad, the Oddities, Head Cheese ( <---greatest tag team of all times I might add), even teams like the New Age Outlaws.

Now they don't come up with anything for these guys to work with. My worry would be that a stable like this would be formed, two weeks later Vince would change his mind about it and these guys would get destroyed by Cena or Triple H in a 1v5 scenario and they'd be sent packing back to Superstars to wait for Johnny Ace to future endeavour them

Great story concept, but now WWE would never do that, seems what ever concepts people think of on the boards, they do not want to do :(

Would be awesome seeing that though.

Yeah i mean a key concept behind it i suppose would be that it would help restore some creibility to the wrestlers on superstars. At the moment as so many people (myself included) don't generally watch superstars the only time we see people like jtg is on crush matches where they are defeated in 2 seconds on Raw.

It's just a pointless exercise in that they are viewed as so inept that a new superstar attaining a victory over them does nothing for him, we expect him to crush them in 2 moves anyway.

So this could possibly actually help with new superstars getting over after the completion of the stable storyline because for the first time in i don't know how long the whole roster would actually seem like it does carry some sort of legitimate threat.

Man, I hope you're being sarcastic because the ONLY example you gave that actually worked was The New Age Outlaws - and they only worked because of their involvement with DX. The JOB Squad was created in ECW ... The Oddities were AWFUL and Head Cheese was no different than any other thrown-together tag team of the past 15 years.

In terms of this idea - I'd only like it if the wrestlers involved stayed out of the main event. There is no need to further muddle the main event scene with a bunch of guys that were recently jobbing on Superstars. If this move was to push those guys into mid-card status, then I think it would work.

I THINK THIS IS A REALLY GOOD IDEA GUYS. JUST PUT ALL THE JOBBERS AND SHITTY WRESTLERS TOGETHER AND THEY WILL PROSPER, WHY HASN'T ANYONE THOUGHT OF THIS BEFORE?

Yeahh that's what I thought if they targeted the US and tag belts it would be relatively fresh in terms of a big stable not going for a world championship and would bring increased crediblity to the midcard titles as that would be their prime goal.
