Suggest some cool spots!!!!

Hulk Hogan's Brother

Stop asking me what I'm gonna do!!!
Well, I don't know what other title I can give to this thread.

It is a no-brainer that wrestling fans love seeing something that they have never seen before. When a wrestler does something cool, he takes his first step towards superstardom. It is not an easy thing to do, especially in this day and age. It has got to be something that makes even the most jaded smark go "WOW!!That was awesome". Now instead of rambling like a madman, let me give you some examples.

Example 1: Austin counting the pinfall with Mr. McMahon's hand at Over The Edge 1998.

This one needs no explanation. It was the classic scenario where the deck was stacked against the babyface and somehow Austin got the better of Vince once again. This propelled an already rising Austin to stratospheric heights. It was a really cool spot that had never been seen before and it worked like a charm.

Example 2: Eddie Guerrero lying, cheating and stealing his way into our hearts.

It was a great gimmick and again something that we had never seen before. Eddie cheated the hell out of everybody and did it in such an entertaining manner that he became a huge babyface. Who can forget him stealing the win from Angle at WrestleMania 20?

In recent times too, there have been spots that everyone remembers. Shelton Benjamin may not have had a storied career but everyone remembers him getting superkicked by HBK while he was airborne. The same could be said about Evan Bourne. So cool spots can never be a bad thing.

So what type of spots would you like to see? Here are my suggestions.

Suggestion 1: We all know how the MITB winner cashes in on his briefcase. He rushes in after the champion has had a long, grueling match, hits his big move and VOILA! we have a new champion.

What I would like to see is the champion disqualifying himself in this situation. MITB winning heel rushes in, face champion rolls out, heel follows and the champion gets a chair and beats him up for the DQ. There goes the MITB shot down the drain. Just imagine Rollins and Ambrose in this spot. Can you imagine the type of reaction Ambrose would get after this?

Suggestion 2: This is also about the MITB briefcase. Let us say that the guy holding the MITB case gets injured( real or worked) and for some reason has to cash the MITB on the last day the contract is valid. He does so in a long match but the champion weasels out somehow by saying that the challenger made the pinfall after the year was over. Basically the time limit for the cash in has expired and the MITB case winner can no longer stake his claim. This type of a situation could lead to a great double turn.

So both my suggestions have something to do with the MITB. That isn't a surprise, I guess, because it is always something cool that leads to something cooler.

So what spots would you like to see? Let us help the bookers out a bit.

Sometimes when I'm lying in bed alone at night (99% of nights), I find myself thinking of cool spots I'd like to see in matches.

Shawn Michaels vs. The Rock
- Rock drops Michaels with the spinebuster and sets up for the People's Elbow. He bounces off the ropes, hops over Michaels, hits the ropes on the other side and as soon as he turns around Michaels meets him with some Sweet Chin Music.
- Michaels hits a flying forearm, both guys down. Michaels kips up and plays to the crowd...the Rock then kips up and hits him with the Rock Bottom.
- The Rock fires off a series of punches, dramatically winds up for the final blow as he only he can...and gets superkicked out of nowhere.

Hulk Hogan vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin
- Austin hits the Stunner but Hogan kicks out and starts to Hulk Up. He points at Austin as the crowd says "YOOOUUUUU", but Austin just flips him off and goes for another Stunner. Hogan counters and pushes Austin off the ropes, hits the big boot and leg drop.

Undertaker vs. Sting
- Sting goes for the Stinger Splash but Undertaker moves out of the way, causing Sting to basically hit the snake eyes on himself. Taker follows up with his running boot and leg drop for a near fall.
- Taker sets Sting up for the Last Ride but Sting Sting trips him and goes for the Scorpion Death Lock. Taker makes it to the ropes.
- Taker lifts Sting up for the Tombstone, but Sting drops down behind him and counters with the Scorpion Death Drop.
- Sting grabs Taker's legs and goes for the Scorpion Death Lock but Taker pulls him in for the Hell's Gate.

I like your suggestion #1, if it hadn't already been done before, in the sense that the MitB winner has already failed his cash-in attempt. If this had never happened before, it would be huge, especially in your scenario.

The spot I would like to see the most would be at this year's WrestleMania where Brock Lesnar would retain the title, the lights go out and we see Undertaker standing behind Lesnar, ready to get his revenge for the streak being broken. Lesnar turns around, gets chokeslammed, Tombstoned and left laying. The lights go out, they stay out, and as soon as they come back on, Taker's gone and we see Rollins standing in the ring with a big smirk on his face and then he hands the briefcase to the referee.

I know that a MITB winner has failed to cash-in in the past but this would still be huge. This scenario is about the champion outsmarting the supposedly genius heel. It would be something like Austin/ McMahon at Over The Edge, though obviously it would not all that big a deal.

Cena/Rock 2 had what is, my favorite type of spot.

Cena/Rock 1, Cena goes for the 5 knuckle after the FU, rock kips up, hits a rock bottom.
Cena/Rock 2, Cena goes for the 5 knuckle after the FU, Rock kips up and sets for the Rock Bottom, Cena hangs onto the ropes then does the "you can't see me"

That spot was glorious. It was a call back spot, it was at the height of the match, the crowd bought it. IMO, these are the best kinds of spots. It's an enrichment to the match for all levels. If it's your first time watching, it looks cool, if you are a hardcore fan, you geek real hard for it.

An indy example is Joe vs Punk 3. In Joe/Punk 1 and 2, Punk goes for his diving apron dana and Joe catches him and slams him against the guardrail. In Joe/Punk 3, Punk uses a dropkick instead.

So my ideal spot would be a Hogan/Austin match. In a tag match on Raw, maybe Austin/Rock vs Hogan/Cena or something (since we're fantasy booking with everyone in their prime). Hogan kicks out of the stunner, Hulks up, Austin can't believe it, Hogan does his usual stuff.

Then during their match, after Austin has kicked out of one leg drop and got the advantage back, he hits the stunner, Hogan kicks out, Hulks up, Austin flips him off, hits another stunner, 1-2-3.

Randy Orton Vs Brock Lesnar

If Randy Orton Vs Brock Lesnar happens eventually I think it would be epic if he could somehow turn the F-5 into an RKO.

(A spot only I would enjoy lol)

Fandango Vs Hulk Hogan

Fandango gets Hulk Hogan down with some type of kick and begins to do one of Hogans legendary taunts, then goes to the top rope and does his top-rope legdrop finisher, only to have Hogan kick out and do his whole hogan comeback thing.

You get three or four of the super-indyweights from NXT and dress them up like Sin Cara. Or Rey. Or Willow - I don't really care. Then, using smoke, lights and body doubles, you create the illusion of live teleportation. Could probably work with Big Cass, Konner O Bryan and Rusev on five-inch platforms, all as Kane.

Yes! Kane's "inner demon" comes back to tell him to put back on the mask.

Or whatever...

I got one that WWE has done before years ago but it is far too crazy to try again. Have John Cena put in a submission move and have him give up and tap out.

Not just a spot, not a liver spot, not a 'Spot' like your dog Spot. No not just any spot – but cool spot.

Idk. This is a bit crazy, so stay with me here, but how about if the WWE Champion Brock Lesnar (damn I cant even believe I am about to say this its such a crazy idea ) -actually showed up on Monday Night RAW & hit someone with an F-5? That would be pretty damn cool, right? I bet you are saying 'nightmare you damn fool. That's crazy & will never happen.' I know, I know, its a longshot- but a man can dream.

I've always wanted to see a spot take place atop the roof of the Elimination Chamber. Have all 6 guys break out of the Elimination Chamber, 5 of them fight each other on the outside while one of them climbs up to the roof of the Chamber, maybe Ambrose or Rollins, and Ambrose/Rollins jumps off with a Crossbody on top of the other 5 participants in the match. Or maybe do a Shawn Michaels/Mankind HIAC-like spot off the roof of the Chamber through the announcers table. I was hoping they'd pull this off in the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber match in 2012 when Punk & Jericho broke out of the Chamber. I think a spot off the top of the Chamber would help make the match look a bit more violent and unpredictable.

I've always imagined the two doing a double kip-up at the same time.

Here's one for a Sting vs. Shawn Michaels match - Sting sets Michaels up for a Stinger Splash in the corner and Michaels hits Sweet Chin Music on Sting as The Stinger runs and jumps towards him.

Roman Reigns vs. John Cena
- Roman goes for The Superman Punch, and ends up being grabbed by Cena in the air for the Spin Out Powerbomb, followed by the Five Knuckle Shuffle sign "U C/ See Me". Cena goes to the ropes and Reigns gets up in time to his second try of the Superman Punch, only to have Cena grab him on his shoulders mid-air and hit the AA.

* I realize it's hard to pull of the first SP to Spint Out Powerbomb, still, would be a great sequence.

It's a fun thread. Will be thinking of more cool spots for sure.

Hulk Hogan vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin
- Austin hits the Stunner but Hogan kicks out and starts to Hulk Up. He points at Austin as the crowd says "YOOOUUUUU", but Austin just flips him off and goes for another Stunner.

And he hits the Stunner and 1-2-3. That would be a very nice spot. Makes me wonder if this was the planned finish for the supposed Hogan vs Austin match at Mania 18.

Hogan starts hulking up and catches Reigns's Superman Punch. It's everything that's wrong with wrestling, but it'd be funny.

Here's one for Kofi during the Rumble: You've seen him walk on his hands, you've seen him ride Mygel's chair back to the ring, you've seen him jump three meters to and from the barricade... Next year you see him ride a horse! If RR is being held in Canadia, he hijacks a mountie and if not, Rose's bunny will have to do. Taking care not to let his feet touch the ground, he rides the animal out of the stadium and goes to a drive-through, posts a few selfies, sends a postcard from Finland and returns to the ramp and just before the final four, he rides the animal back to the ring (with onions on his neck and a turban on his head), bringing Babushka-dolls with him. Within seconds of his return, some shitty heel pushes him out and eliminates him.

Cesaro Swing into the plexiglass of the Elimination Chamber pod.

In theory you could leave through the bottom rope and go shopping or something.

Handcuffing yourself to the bottom rope might work too.

Sting vs taker at mania 31

Sting gets undertaker with the scorpion death drop by pulling takers head back and stares emotionless at his face (camera zoomed in) then drops him hard to floor.

Taker does the cut throat sign lifts sting up for a tombstone, sting counters by going backwards and gets taker with the tombstone then does the hands on chest for the pinfall.

Royal Rumble Jan 2015

In the rumble match, Number 30 or 40(if 40 guys) buzzes, lights go out, smoke appears His music hits and Sting is on the ramp in all black and white facepaint, long trenchcoat with bat in hand the crowd erupts, everyone in the rumble match stops and all stare at Sting, he enters the ring and cleans house laying out everyone in ring and throwing some guys over the top rope. No man is left standing except Sting, the Icon walks around the ring with the trademark emotionless facial expression he then goes out under the middle rope grabs a mic from ringside he enters the ring again slowly points his bat at the wrestlemania 31 sign high up and says only one name... "Undertaker" drops the mic then eliminates himself by going over the top rope the way kane used to do by holding his hands on the ropes back against them and slowly lifting himself over to the ring floor.
