It's Damn Real!

The undisputed, undefeated TNA &
This is a new poll series I'm hoping to run here in the TNA section where (recently) departed former talents of the company will be critiqued regarding their work with the company. You can vote them either a success, a bust or in-between if you don't feel they deserve either extreme.

In addition to your vote, I'd like to know why you feel the way you do. Why was this particular charater a succes, a bust or in-between?

Next in the series is Senshi.

You're really reaching for "recent" releases, aren't you? :lmao:

Senshi was a success in TNA. He was part of the greatest stable in the company's history before he left, and he helped pioneer the X Division. His matches with AJ in the early days are what put TNA's name out there.

I won't say he's a "huge" success though. He could have been far bigger, and done a lot more, but he held himself back in a way, by leaving for Japan when he did. There's still no reason to believe he's a bust.

Ha – might soon be time to remove that "stipulation" seeing as a large majority of the company we know now was around then, still. There have been releases, but not very many, and a lot of the releases weren't very important – at least not in a sense of making a poll about them.

But as for this poll, I consider Senshi a success most notably because of Triple X and his six-month X-Division title run (his second title reign).

Like you noted, he's not a major success in terms of being an AJ Styles or Christopher Daniels type – hell, he may not even be a Jerry Lynn type – but he did a lot when he was with the company, IMO, and though his departure left something to be desired, I still don't think the last few months of his time there are enough to consider him in-between, and are certainly not enough to consider him a bust.

I never got into him that much, as while he was exciting in the ring, he was so bland outside of it.

He was intense which was good but that expression on his face and with his jaw made him look like a retarted ape on steriods.

I don't know how he would do in the new TNA, but he did well in the original and was what made it watchable when the company first started.

I gave him an in between.

I consider Low-Ki to be a success, but not based off of his TNA runs. I've seen Low-Ki wrestle all over the East Coast on the independent scene and he absolutely dominated the major indy feds like ROH, JAPW, and CZW during the first half of the decade.

While I felt his first run in TNA was great and he was an X Division pioneer, his second run seemed lacking and uninspired. I also doubt WWE will do anything with him as he doesn't fit into their profile.

Bottom line is, Low-Ki can go. He'd be great in Japan or with ROH or EVOLVE.

When it comes to TNA and TNA alone, I would so Ki would be a success. The guy had multiple reigns in the X Division and a few Tag Title runs with XXX. When you talk stables in TNA, people still mention Triple X. While he didn't spend much time in TNA he still left a lasting impression. His match with Amazing Red was the first match I actually got to see of TNA's and I still have it downloaded on my computer. When I think TNA X Division I still think of Low-Ki. I was excited during his matches and I am exicted dfor his (seemingly) imminent debut in WWE. However I still say the reason that Low-Ki did not last in TNA or ROH is for one reason....Low-Ki. He has been known to be a hot head and has taken his ball and gone home a few times when things didn't go his way. Ki's biggest obstacle is Ki.

Senshi without a doubt was a success. Mainly during his days as LowKi, he was one of the first wrestlers that you thought of when you talked about the X-Division back in the day. The fact that he was a member of the best stable that they ever put together in that division (Triple X) shows you the talent that he worked with.

LowKi/Senshi was not brought in to be a heavyweight, he was brought in to be an amazing wrestler who's style actually contrasted with and complimented the rest of the X Division.

4 total title reigns, plus he could be looked at as the first person to take on the Suicide persona (it was his voice that they used for the character in the TNA iMPACT video game).

On top of that, WWE must have thought highly of his time in TNA as he's currently under contract with them.
