Sub Or Dub?

How do you like your anime? Subbed or dubbed? Some are best in subs and others in dubs. DBZ (to me) is better in dubbed English. They don't sound too tough in Japanese. Goku sounds like a 12 year old. I've been watching Megaman.exe Beast (subbed) as of late and after comparing it to the english dub, I prefer it in subtitles. Seeing kids say ass, damn, hell and bitch if funny for some reason. DX got to them.

It varies for me. I usually watch it subbed, but sometimes I find a decent dub. I actually enjoyed the Azumanga Daioh dub to a degree.

Or maybe that's just a sign that I like that show a little too much...

I always liked DBZ in audio latino. I think the voices in English aren't so good specially Goku's plus they switch like every song from every moment in english version well at least the one from the U.S. and I actually enjoy the regular music all other languages have.

Spanish!? Hell no! Its horrible in spanish. Especially when mixed with the japanese bg music. Hellsing was actually really good in spanish.

Well that's just me as I grew up in Mexico and I'm more used to it. Plus the Japanese music sounds cool IMO. But I'm just talking about DBZ any other thing I'd rather watch in English as spanish subs usually suck

That's true. I had latin Animax for some time, so seeing anime in spanish was typical for me. DBZ was terrible but there were others that were better in spanish than english. Fullmetal Alchemist was surprisingly better.

Well I only used to watch DBZ and some other stupid shows like Johnny Bravo and Ed, Edd, and Eddy, Pokemon. Than it was just DBZ stopped watching cartoons when I got here because I didn't understand the language. Than I started watching Family Guy in both English and Spanish and the Spanish version totally sucks compared to the English one.

DBZ was good dubbed, but overall I like subtitles. I don't mind reading, and keeping the language that the creator wrote it in is usually the best. This isn't just for Anime though, this is my opinion on all subtitles and dubs.

The Simpson's, on the other hand, are awesome in spanish.

I watch subbed, but I want shows to have good dubs so people who dislike subs can enjoy them.

Examples of shows with good dubs: Gundam Wing (At least on DVD), the Death Note movie, Trigun...

Your sig is pretty fucking sweet.

Thanks, couldn't have done it without you.

A special thanks to the mushroom tea that sent me trippin' through the woods, out in the California hills.

..... and God I guess.

Rep on the way for you, but it says I've spread too much, so you'll just have to wait for that powerful 1 rep point I have to offer.

I'm going to be honest here and say that I find 90% of anime corny. I watched some DBZ and Gundam when I was like 12, but other then that I always found it self-indulgent and overly dramatic.
