So apparently, Sidious has been PM'ing D-Man about co-modding the WWE sections with him because he could use the help. D-Man has been awesome, cutting maybe a full thread-per-day pace in General. I though it was odd that Sid would ask D-Man about it, because the two don't have a history of getting along. Anyway, D-Man asked me my thoughts.

On one hand, Sid could absolutely use help to keep him from burning out / shooting somebody. Lariat MAY be able to handle General and Old School, though I'd rather test him out more and let someone like a Phoenix take General.

I'd like everyone's feedback / thoughts.

There are more deserving people on staff, people who've been on staff longer and still only have one section.

Just like I said to Lariat when he wanted an evaluation, wait. D-Man and Lariat have been on for what, a month max? They've done fine, but I think an additional section is too much to ask of them.

I'd much rather see someone like FTS or JMT given a wrestling section before D-Man/Lariat/NSL, if they'd want to of course.

It wouldn't be an additional section for D-Man, he would trade General for WWE.

I'd hope Sid and NSL would work together okay. But this is an interesting though. I'll ask this - even before being modded, did FTS post wrestling anywhere near the level D-Man does?

Ah a switch. That could work, but I'd rather him stay in general. That section was more or less just barely alive until hee took it over and he's done great with it. Why risk someone else that's not ready for it?

Yes, please keep in mind that D-Man would not have two sections, he would just have one, albeit a much larger one.

Personally, I'm not really a fan of moving D-Man from General, and I'm certainly not a fan of giving any of the regular mods another section. And, with no offense intended, I don't think FTS or JMT should be given a wrestling section either, since they are far from active wrestling posters.


With that said, I agree there should be an additional moderator, and I just don't know who.

Not at all. I didn't think we needed the last like four people that have been modded. But if the admins are looking to mod someone anyways, it should go back to Norcal before going to anyone else.

Yeah we have far too many as is.

1) I don't see how there can be "too many" Staff members.

2) We do have a lot of Staff members, and I've ALWAYS been a believer in only adding Staff when necessary.

3) Sidious is getting killed these days. It's the build-up to Wrestlemania, and combined with our lightened spam rules, it's tough for one person to moderate the WWE forum, especially with how much Sidious does. I think adding a WWE moderator is necessary.

4) I don't think Norcal is the answer to the WWE mod spot. For many reasons, some good, and some bad. I do agree that, if Norcal is back full-time (well, you know what I mean), we should find a place on the Staff for him.

5) All G-Mods need to ask themselves if they are pulling their weight right now. Obviously, real life comes first, and we all have our own areas of interest, but it wouldn't hurt for G-Mods other than X to do a little more moderating, in addition to promoting the discussion.
