I was thinking about Nexus and how they are currently down two members, Darren Young was kicked out and Skip Sheffield broke his ankle. While thinking, I had an idea for a crazy storyline along the lines of Nexus, but on a much bigger scale and takes place the night after Wrestlemania, and ends at Wrestlemania of that year. That storyline is a Mafia style take over (Russian, German, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, whichever works.)
On the night after Wrestlemania, it is announced that Raw will receive a new General Manager. He is introduced as a little known or completely unknown person. Upon his debut as GM, he announces five future superstars were hand chosen from his family. The first is his oldest son, who he feels will be a future WWE/World Heavyweight Champion. The second is the second oldest son, who has potential of becoming U.S. or Intercontinental Champion. Next he introduces his twins/bodyguards who are the greatest tag team in the business. Then he introduces his daughter, who he cherishes and says she will be a future Diva's/Women's Champion.
Next week, we see the debuts of these five wrestlers in single/tag team matches to showcase their skills. At the same time, we see the father beginning to concoct an plan to get his family to wear gold. A few more weeks pass and a few of the superstars resent that he is ignoring them and keeping them off Raw. At Extreme Rules, we have the oldest son face off a midcarder like Evan Bourne or Mark Henry, which results in the oldest sons victory.
Over the next few months, the father's family continue to gain wins and the oldest son competes in a match to determine the number 1 contender for the WWE/World Title, but loses. He competes in Raw Money in the Bank match and wins, giving him a guaranteed opportunity. Summer Slam rolls around and John Cena is getting in a feud with the GM of Raw.
At this point, he begins to show how cruel and evil he is and sets it up for John Cena to lose to his oldest son. In addition to his siblings/two bodyguards, the father has enlisted the help of several other non-wrestlers to attack John Cena. After the attack and winning the match, John Cena wins the next night to be the number one contender for the WWE/World Heavyweight Championship. He wins the title at Night of Champions, but the oldest son cashes in Money in the Bank and wins the WWE/World Heavyweight Championship from John Cena. Earlier that night, the second oldest son, twin sons/bodyguards, and the daughter also win the Raw titles, making them hold all the gold.
A rematch is made at Hell in a Cell for John Cena vs. the oldest son for the WWE/World Heavyweight Title, but the oldest son retains after more interference from the family/non-wrestlers. After Hell in a Cell, the father announces that he has taken over Raw, and will now take over Smackdown and then the entire WWE. At Bragging Rights, team of John Cena and three others, one Raw and two Smackdown, will face the oldest son, younger son, and twins/bodyguards. Match ends with John Cena's team failing to get the win.
The next night and on Smackdown, matches are getting interrupted by non-wrestling members of the mafia, or whatever you want to call it at this point, to show their dominance. They begin to force wrestlers into their group to further the power of their group. John Cena again resists with the help of 6 other wrestlers and a match is set up at Survivor Series, which John Cena's team wins.
Furious, the GM suspends John Cena from the WWE and gets power crazy. John Cena however ignores the calling and starts attacking the members of the mafia. A match is set up at TLC for John Cena vs. the oldest son for the WWE/World Heavyweight Title, which John Cena wins. For the Royal Rumble, John Cena loses the WWE Title back to the oldest son, but the younger son wins the Royal Rumble.
Here we see the old Batista/Triple H storyline come back to life. The younger son feels that what they are doing is wrong, and after the Elimination Chamber match, which the older son retains the WWE/World Heavyweight Championship, he announces that he will be challenging his older brother for the WWE/World Heavyweight Championship and control of the family business.
The GM, outraged by this, strips him of the U.S./Intercontinental Title. He then orders his twin sons/bodyguards to wrestle him in a two on one handicap match with the younger son, but they refuse and they too are stripped of the Tag Team Titles. The daughter tries to protest, but when threatened to be stripped of her title, follows the fathers orders.
The twins/bodyguards are then suspended after they try to help the younger son overthrow his older brother and father. The father then makes a deal that if the younger brother would win, he would step down as GM of Raw. At Wrestlemania, a no DQ match is ordered between the two for the brothers. After interference from both sides, the younger brother steals the win and wins the WWE/World Heavyweight Championship. The younger brother disbans the family mafia.
I haven't thought about what else could happen after one year, but that's an idea I had for a Raw Storyline. Kinda similar to the Nexus and Batista/Triple H storyline of Wrestlemania 21, but it has its own twists. What do you think? Would this be something interesting, or a flop idea?
