Stone Cold Returning Discussion

Occasional Pre-Show
Just saw the news.....anyone have any guesses on what type of role he might be playing? I wouldnt be suprised to see him in the GM role.....it would keep RKO in check and would be a change to have a face in that role on RAW. Should be interesting....great news, should be a solid lift for raw.

i just thought of something maybe he might join dx? along with x-pac just a geuss

He'll be doing a lot of promotional work for The Condemned. If any role, it would be good to see him as GM, but I just don't think it will happen. He'll have a lot of interaction with Vince, doing 30 min long promos, ending up with him stunning Vince. I believe he'll have very little physical action with anyone, I don't think he likes the direction that creative has RAW or anyone else going. Just my opinion, may be wrong.

according to the reports "The current plan at this point is to integrate Austin back into some sort of regular storyline, as to get use out of him at WrestleMania 23, to co-promote with his movie project in April. "

that makes it seem like they have a little more planned. I realize this is to boost interest in the movie but the fact that it says they want to insert him into a storyline is great news...at least to me. It should get interesting. Good to see him back.....:headbanger:

I think he could be set up for an angle with Vince McMahon again. I personally wouldn't want to see it as it has happened about a thousand times before. Like some of the other people above, I don't think he will do much of a wrestling role although I think he will definitely be in some match at Wrestlemania. It will be good to see him back though. I think it will gather a little more interest in the WWE again. I hope that he actually shows some interest and enthusiasm in what he does when he comes back though.

he wont be wrestling because if he gets hit exactly right in the neck then he will become peralyzed. if he becomes gm that would be great because it would be nice to see him stunner RKO's cocky ass

Where did you hear that bullshit?

I like this. I'd rather watch a 30 minute Stone Cold/Vince Mcmahon segment than 30 minutes of

1- Vince Mcmahon ramble on Donald Trump for 10 minutes

2- Chris Masters claiming that nobody broke the masterlock- 5 minutes

3- One 5 minute match

4- Rated RKO talking about killing DX and knocking out flair AGAIN- 10 minutes

see? Take out all these pointless segments and put in Stone Cold calling Vince a son of a ***** and hitting him with the stunner. Seeing Stone Cold fight at least once would be awesome. Don't give us all this hype and then have him JUST return to fake a match for ratings.

from everywhere what u talkin about. his knees are fucked up and so is his neck

No dude i'm pretty sure you or someone you know made that up. Austin has been in domestic violence disputes and been arrested several times in the last 5 years. He has also had a lot of disagreements with higher up WWE management about storylines and trademarking of his name. T hats pretty much the number one reason why he hasn't been wrestling and/or only been making casual appearances in the WWE, it has nothing to do with his neck or knees.

it does have to do with his physical condition. He had two domestic violence issues.....one in 02 and one in 04...not many (although one is too many), i dont know where your comming up with "many". He had an issue with WWE back in 2004 because WWE wanted to control his outside projects. The two sides could not come to terms and austin was not allowed to use the term "stone cold". He was supposed to wrestle Coachman at Taboo Tuesday a while abck and didnt because he was injured moving furniture @ home. He is well into his 40's and has two knees that have alot of mile on them and a bad neck. Though the statement of him getting hit in just the right place and then not being able to walk is a little bloated, he isnt physically able to compete on a regular basis anymore.

from Wikipedia - Steven James Williams (born Steven James Anderson on December 18, 1964), better known by his ring name Stone Cold Steve Austin, is an American actor and former professional wrestler.

After debuting in 1989, Austin wrestled for promotions such as World Championship Wrestling, Extreme Championship Wrestling and World Wrestling Federation/Entertainment. Austin was forced to retire from the ring in 2003 due to a variety of chronic injuries.

I do hope that stone cold is given an actual storyline and not just doing a beer drinking contests or gimick interview segments like pipers pit or the cutting edge. It would really shake things up.:wwf:

Well just when I think I'm about to tell RAW to go F itself, Vince springs this on me.

I don't care about how he comes back, I'm just glad he's coming back right now. This is going to boost ratings. Maybe not drastically, but they will rise.

He'll probably just be an enforcer in the Raw main event at W.M. Alyhough I think he would fit better in the Taker/Batista match. Taker and Austin have had some great feud's in the past wheras I dont remember Austin and Cena ever having a confrontation.

i would love to cena turn heel and then stone cold beats the shit out of him, cena is starting to piss everyone off and doesnt deserve so much of a push

watch trump get him on his side of battle of the billionaires. vince might say sumthin like "i have so and so wrestler" then trump will say "well, i have...." then you hear the glass break

I know that this is highly unlikely.

But could this be the beginnings of Austin v Hogan?

99% no, because they both believe they are the biggest names ever in wrestling (which is probably true) and they both do not want to lose.
But! Vince has the money and the tactics to pull this off.

1% chance it'll be this though.

just a thought

that sounds pretty cool....i'll never forget when taker crusified :crucified: Austin on RAW years ago. That was amazing and Vince was really pushing to see just how far he could go back then. Austin / Edge / Orton would creat some good interview segments...just my opinion though.

I personally would like to see Austin vs. Vince at Wrestlemania. The final match to end the best feud in WWE History. That would bring crazy viewers to Wrestlemania, and it would be a great way to end the feud.

I hope this is true I would love to see Austin back even if he isnt wrestling it would be cool to see him deliver stunners to macmahon or Rated RKO. He should be a GM. I thought It worked out well when they had 50-50 ownership with Macmahon and Flair so I think Austin being GM competing agaisnt Macmahon would work.

i cant wait until he comes back. raw needed a huge lift and now they have it. austin talkin shit and givin out stunners will be 500 times better then 2 actors throwin cake at each other

I think 2 things which u guys have brought up:

Hogan and Austin isnt such a good ideaa, Hogan and HBKdidnt really like what they needed to do but went ahead and did it so really austin and hogan u dont really know

Austin and Vince , well it might be a good suggetion really sounds preatty good, but i ahve a feeling Austin and RKO might d somefing, he wont wrestle , hewill prob be enforcer or refereee, if he is going to wrestle it will be against vince.
