Sting vs. Ric Flair One Final Time at Bound For Glory?

After the Whole F'n Show tonight, it seems this could be where the Deception angle is going, how all of this is Dixie's fault and bringing in Flair was a really bad thing (kayfabe wise, we all know Flair being in TNA is a big reason Sting is in TNA for another year)

I personally would love to see this happen even though it wouldn't be the greatest match ever or even of the night, it would be awesome to see this two square up one last time after all their history.

What do the peeps of Wrestlezone think?

They're on the same side, technically speaking, why the hell would they be feuding over something they're both working – the "war" on Dixie and the state of TNA?

Sorry man, but this makes no sense – if anything you're talking about Hogan v. Flair, or Hogan v. Sting, not Flair. Some of the roster have had an on-screen issue with Bischoff/Hogan, not the other way around.

I guess we will have to wait until next week, but I am pretty sure this is all leading to Sting vs Flair in someway. Sting wants to be in the ring with him one more time, a reason he is back in TNA, and I believe it'll happen

So, Sting thinks that Flair is a cancer on TNA.... But, Sting was the captain of Team Flair at Lockdown? Granted, this is TNA, and Vince Russo and Dixie Carter have the memory of long term Alzheimer's patients, but that's not even 4 months old yet.

Anyone else think that Hogan is going to turn & align with Flair? It seemed like @ the end of Impact, Flair said something about bringing in the ECW guys insulted Flair & Hogan. And Hogan had conveniently left the ring by the time the attack happened. I think there will be more twists, & I think Hogan could turn on Dixie & the ECW guys.

Yeah...I'm not all for it to be honest but I'd sit through it if I have to. I'd watch and support it if there was a story behind it. I'm not gonna care if it's just because Sting is Sting and Flair is Flair and it's Sting vs Flair. That's not enough for me.

Will it happen? Eh..hope not. But we'll see how it goes. Either way, it's cool with me as long as it's done well.

I would love to see the two mix it up again as well. While IDR is right that sting-hogan seems more likely when has TNA ever done what seemed most likely lately. How you make it work is that sting was misunderstood yet again. Everyone assumed he had a problem with hogan and was acting out. What had really happened is he got a first hand look at the corrupting force of Flair, who was using Jarrett to turn the young guys against the company and carter. The disatisfied mole in the organization Jarrett picked up on the perception against sting and used it to distract everyone. I think there are better variations of this to use but this would work if they wanted to.

Are you fing kidding me. Seriously, Just because sting is sting and flair is flair is not enough... omg. You are either very young or just oblivious. Sting and Flair should be able to even just walk up to vince and say "hey, we want to headline wrestlemania" whenever they want. These 2 have a story that can be picked up anytime anywhere they need 2. These 2 should and could wrestle anytime i mean for real if a bunch of ecw guys who really cant wrestle can have a whole ppv, then these 2 should get to mainevent tnas biggest ppv of the year.

I doubt TNA could convincingly carry an angle that complex to completion, plus as another poster said Sting sided with Flair against Hogan and even Captained Team Flair at Lockdown.

While it might have made sense in the beginning for Sting to be anti Flair it also made a lot of sense given their past history (which TNA was utilizing) for Sting to be distrustful of Hogan/Bischoff. Sting vs Hogan would make more sense at this point but Hogan is almost immobile, he could barely work against Flair in a tag match, putting him in a singles match would be a disaster at this point.

I'm not convinced Flair still has that "great match " left in him like he did at the end of his WWE run. I know he had some really entertaining matches like his TLC match vs Edge, The "I Quit" match with Foley, and his win or retire matches against Orton, HHH, and finally HBK but that was between 2 and 4 yrs ago. The difference between Flair now and four yrs ago is much different than say Flair in 1992 vs 1996 for instance. He acquitted himself OK vs Lethal in their cage match, but does anyone think he can tear it up like he did vs HHH on New Yrs Eve 2007 or at WM 24 - I don't, plus Sting has been injured all year, do you really think he could carry him ?

I have little faith that TNA could develop this story in a fitting way to make the match as big as it should be (just look at the whole Kevin Nash/Band reunion and the questions around Hogan's true motives for comng to TNA and would Bischoff dump him for the NWO revival, they played that one out real well!!). I would not be in favor of seeing these guys just to pop a 10,000 extra PPV buys or two tenths of a ratings point, makingthem both look bad in the process.

God Damn, what clone factory taught you that you can't have your own view on things. Please let me know so I can tear it apart.

I'm just saying, I know how big it can be, but I'd like the match itself to pay off.

We saw McMahon vs Bret Hart, didn't we smartass? How awesome was that? It was sure as all fucking hell bigger than Sting vs Flair, and we forgot about it two minutes after it ended. Why? Because the match sucked.

Do you want to see Hogan vs Warrior again? Because that was a big feud too.

Personally, these two can still go. I'm not saying that they can't. But I think that the match itself wouldn't match the hype, the build up and the expectations. I'm sorry, but to me that's a flop. You should only book a match if you feel like the match itself can top the build up and AT LEAST come close to the expectations. Can Flair and Sting do it? I don't know. Age and injuries take their tolls on both of them. It's going to be huge if it happens, I just don't want it to suck and I'd much rather NOT have it on the card and be horrible than have it and sit through 10-15 minutes of nothing. Know what I mean?

The old-school wrestling fan in me would love to see Flair and Sting go at it again. Would it compel me to by a 30-35 dollar ppv? Absolutely not. Would I tune in to watch an Impact or a "Clash of The Champions" like special TV event to see it? Absolutely. I'd go out of my way to see it. I know that it would probably blow considering Flair's age and Sting's age/recent injuries, but there is something inside me that hopes they can tear the house down again.
