Watching the pre-speech coverage on MSNBC and Al Sharpton just became my hero. The guest is a GOP Congressman from Texas:

"Mr. Congressman, your party has supported the tax cuts for the rich. How have these tax cuts created one job?"

The only way it could be better is if he had asked "why did the economy tank once they were put into place?"

He's so good at speaking. It's like, if I was running for president and could only have one ability that I was extraordinary at, it would be speaking. That's all you need to get the votes, anyway.

He was talking about how it goes better for students when they finish high school, so don't let them leave until they graduate or are 18.

The only problem I have with the President's economic policies is that either Congress fails to compromise on them, or it fails miserably.

It's a combination of both. You have to gut them to get the GOP to agree to anything so they're really the same in name only.

Infrastructure spending sounds good to me. Why the GOP doesn't go with it is beyond me, but I'd assume it has something to do with the president being named Barack Obama.

I can't wait for the GOP response to try to bury all of this common sense and logic. "Expansion of government and hurting job creators" and all their usual crap.
