Got Root?
When I look into the sky at night and see the seemingly endless specs of light, I can't help but wonder if something our minds have yet to imagine lies beyond. The blackness rains wonder and screams insignificance. It sets ablaze all my certainty, and leaves me with only a heap of confusion. I'm overwhelmed with a feeling of ignorance when I look into the sky, and yet am filled with the deepest feeling of love and awe for what nature has so beautifully put together. When I see that consuming blackness, I yearn to conquer it and understand all and achieve everything. I am filled entirely with passion and inspiration, only to realize that I have no chance of ever seeing first hand everything our universe has to offer. It is only within my own imagination that I will satisfy my desire to understand and clear away the bewildering blackness.
I first started this as a poem, but I don't know how to describe the way it ended up. What do you think?
