Speculation Regarding the Death of Chris Benoit

I don't know, SHOCKMASTER. I have a seven year old son and the thought of anyone harming a single hair on his head sends shivers up and down my spine.

It may be "speculation and rumours," but I don't think things would be released to the media to the extent they have been if there wasn't a fairly high degree of certainty. Nowadays, especially since the OJ fiasco, celebrity crimes are dealt with cautiously.

"A man that kills his wife and son is far from evil." I can't quite get my mind around that statement. Truthfully, I don't really care about his statement of mind. Unless he was a complete raving lunatic, which by all accounts he was anything but.

I don't think the word evil is too strong. There are no words for what he did that would be too strong. To inject his own flesh and blood with something and then smother him in his sleep, while the dead wife/mother lies in the next room, bound and bruised. If he hadn't been so cowardly as to take his own life, what kind of response would he be receiving now? He'd be looking at an injection of his own, in his arm, and he'd deserve it. Jesus, man, the boy was seven years old!! SEVEN!!

On Fox News, it is being discussed right now. Apparently, back in 2003, Nancy filed for divorce but obviously did not proceed with it.

They are also discussing the WWE statement concerning roid rage is not the answer as to why this happened. Fox News is wondering if he did have a steroid problem. They keep talking about it.

There are tests for other drugs being done, as well. It will be a week or two before results are available.

It seems the drug aspect is what the media is focusing on the most, at the moment. The WWE, and perhaps wrestling in general, is going to be traveling down a tough road for awhile.

you know what i dont get is how come no other family member has come forth about the so called emergency that was in the phone call he got? if it was a family emergency dont you think others in the family...at least the parents of either benoit or his wife...would have known something about it? and they say that the emergency was his son coughing up blood but it was never really said if that was proven or not...at least not in anything i had read. they also say that they think one was killed on sat and one was killed on sun but they dont know that for sure yet and they dont know for sure if it was his wife or his son they just think his wife was first so who IS to say that maybe just maybe his wife killed his son or someone else killed them both. and wwe probably took everything down because it looks like he may be guilty of this...that doesnt mean that he is just because they took these actions...they probably just dont want to have any problems with anyone else right now about the whole situation so they removed everything to be safe.....there is definitely some holes in the story and as many others have said its not out of the question that he did do it but yet its not out of the question that he didnt do it either....anyway its a very sad situation and one that no family should ever have to go through.

I am not suggesting that Benoit was "part of the guilty party," I am suggesting that he was the only guilty party. Are you suggesting that some other third party was involved (ridiculous), or that either or both of the victims were guilty partiew (more ridiculous).

And I am suggesting that in light of the evidence which continues to unfold, yes, he was a "true psychopath."

You make reference to Benoit "killing himself to look like an accident." WTF? There was no appearance of an accident, rather, one last desperate act by a very guilty man with a very guilty conscience.

And for the record, my nerves are perfectly calm. Is this not a forum for speculation and exchange of ideas?

i have been watching updates all week and it's aperent Benoit did do as specullated. I have fallowed his career my whole life and it's sad that one of my hero's is now a person that i can no longer look up too. I do believe there is a ryhme and a reason for all things that happen in life. I just hope that the fans he brought so much joy to don't forget about the person he once was. Remember there still investigating what could have led to this tragic avent.

Damn I feel terrible for Chavo and most importantly Dean. Chavo was tearing up last night and I knew something was up when he said the last words he heard from Benoit was "I love you Chavo..." I feel extremely bad also because Chavo said Benoit fed him, made him feel at home and trusted him. Chavo also said that he would trust Benoit with his life and his KIDS' life. Im willing to bet right now he takes all that back because Benoit killed his own kid. Imagine if somehow Chavo's wife was i dont know maybe working and Chavo was at the Vengeance ppv and he heard Benoit decided to stay home. Turns out he needed a babysitter. COULD YOU IMAGINE WHAT BENOIT COULD'VE DONE TO CHAVO'S KIDS?? sickening man Chavo please take all that back. That brings me to Mr.Dean Simon aka Dean Malenko. Most his life he was best friends with Eddie and Benoit. They were the happiest of best friends. Now Eddie,may he rest in peace, passed away making it only 2 best friends. Benoit cried like a 3 month old baby at the induction ceremony and at the tribute to Eddie RAW. Over close two years later he kills his family. Last Monday Malenko fucking said some great things about this man and he makes fools out of everyone. Damn how low can a man get. Imagine this now: Malenko is such great friends with Benoit that say he heard about his family being "ill" he went to visit Benoit and when he saw him he was in the middle of suffocating his OWN kid. Shit Benoit would've tried to kill his so called "best friend" Low mega LOW. He might as well should have shit on himself and everyone he cares about cause thats what he pretty much did. If Eddie was alive he would've been crushed. RIP Eddie Nancy and Daniel

The police found Daniel face-down. This would suggest he slept on his stomach and was asleep when Benoit killed him. Or, even more harrowing he was trying to get away from his father when strangulation occured.

I live in albany ny and have seen all the coverage on the news. I do believe benoit was on steroids or has at the least used them in the past. I have a friend in public office and he is more than adiment that benoit has and was under investigation for steroid use.

Nobody can say for sure that Chris Benoit did this. The ONLY thing that is leading people to say he is for sure guilty, is because that is what the police is saying. Well police often have tunnell vision, often put together pieces that aren't there, and hardly ever investigate the possibility that somebody other than the most obvious suspect committed the crime and was then smart enough to frame someone else for it.

seriously, think about what Chavo said about Benoit, think about what Stephanie McMahon said about Benoit, think about what Bret and everybody else says about the guy and then ask yourself whether or not there is a possibility that Benoit did not do this. Benoit being innocent is much more likely than people on this board, or in the newspapers are thinking right now.

I can't imagine how people who were close to Benoit like Chavo must feel. Can you imagine shedding tears and pouring your heart out over a guy and a day later find out that he was a deranged murderer? That's just crazy. Having been in law enforcement myself and comming from a law enforcement family I can tell you that when a report is given to the media, the authorities have already gone over the crime scene with a fine toothed comb and are about 99.9% certain of the circumstances surrounding the crime. So if the Authorities are saying Benoit did it, then He almost certainly did it.

Hero worship is a hard habit to break, this is why many people on this site and others are having such a hard time accepting the facts in this case. Benoit was on a pedestal where he could do no wrong in their eyes and it is impossible to see the crumpled form on the floor and the empty tarnished pedestal.........

The heart-breaking realization is - Chris Benoit murdered his wife and 7 year old little boy. There is NO motive or reason in the land of ALL motives and reason to commit a crime of that magnitude - NONE.

Damn dude okay. That is a slight chance now I respect the hell out of Benoit the wrestler but the person not so much no mores. You need to get over the fact that he did it wow. What are peoples thoughts on the "roid rage" allegations.
Personally I don't believe this is the case, I don't know much about roid rage, but it seemes that someone who snaps from roid rage would have done all of this within a span of a few hours. But from the reports I have been reading all day it seems like all 3 died within a span of a few days. And now with the text messages being out and the fact that he laid bibles next to people it seems like this was premeditated. I think the media accusing him of roid rage is just another way for the media to bury professional wrestling like always.

Someone could've framed Benoit for this. He could've killed the wife and son before Benoit even found them, Benoit could've subsequently killed himself. The killer could've held benoit in a room or something until he did it.

The autopsy reports aren't out yet, for all we know it could've been something other than the hanging that killed benoit and then he was hung to make it look like a suicide.

Anything is possible at this point, and with the text messages that he sent out, or allegedly sent... I don't know, it just doesn't add up.
