The guy's got his own hip hop thread with his name in it.
I don't venture into the Music section much, but when I do, I avoid the Rap/Hip Hop threads. But I will say Bone Thugs N Harmony were the only thing to get me into hip hop in the 90's.
Nah a little further north. Seeing as how I don't have any pro teams in my state, I pretty much follow the Minnesota teams, sans the Twolves because they're the Twolves. I'm also a Dallas Stars fan alongside being a Minnesota Wild fan. Also the Cleveland Browns are my second team behind the Vikings.
I know how it feels, well in regards to basketball, it's my favorite sport to play and my next favorite to watch next to the Cards, but we have no team. I usually follow Denver or Atlanta.
Hmmm I'm supposed to mentor someone that avoids hip hop threads. I don't see how that would work exactly.
I appear to be mistaken. What up CM?
I'm a Celtics fan, not as a bandwagon jumper, but because Garnett is my favorite player. Iverson is my second, and well....I don't see him playing anymore, he's pretty much done for. I also follow Denver, and I like Portland as well.
I avoid out of ignorance, not distaste in the music (even though I'm not crazy about it). I tend to just enjoy my pre-2002 Rap in solitude.

I've never posted in it either, it's hard to make a non spam post on music really. Always loved Tip though, probably the only artist that makes me buy all their cds.
Not a whole lot, just chillin, daughter's in bed, done with work for the week, enjoying my peace and quiet.
My first topic I will touch on, is the decay of the state of Hip Hop. Now whether or not you like it, hip hop has been decaying now for the last few years, with weak acts that lean more towards pop that the actual hip hop we have all known and love.
Cool. Think I found love when I wasnt even looking for it, we get along really well. She's more than twice my age but I dont give a fuck.
This is pretty much how I feel about the current state of hip hop. Growing up on real hip hop and trying to listen t this pop infused bullshit mixed in with far too much synthesized noises and voices, I can't get into the current stuff at all unless their from Houston (I love every aspect of Houston's music scene, far more diversafied then Austin's).
Right on homie, age ain't shit. Hell my fiancee is 11 years older than me. And I wasn't looking for love when I found her either. I was only 20 and my parents convinced me to come to this tiny ass town of about 50 people with them to see a band play. Met her, we hooked up that night, and we been together ever since.
Haha yeah when I wrote that I was a staunch old school hip hop defender. I've mellowed out quite a bit since then, seeing as how there are some good artists coming up now that are mainstream. Lupe Fiasco is outstanding, as is Kid Cudi. The underground scene is thriving in ways not seen for quite awhile as well.
Houston rap is dope, I got a lot of Chamillionaire, SPM, Lil Flip, Trae the Truth, Z-RO, Slim Thug, and others in my music vault.
Met her in a similar way as yours.
I'm only 20. She's 47, has 3 adult kids & 2 grandkids
I met her a month ago, but I was totally wasted so she didnt think anything of me, saw her again a week later, but I was drunk as hell again so again she didnt think anything of me. Finally a week later, I was sober, we hung out, didnt hook up but had oral in her car, hooked up w/her a few days later & been together ever since but just as friends.
